Spammers. Just report to ICO.
2nd Review.
Still being contacted by Zoe@Jobzooma despite multiple requests and dialogue to remove.
Obviously no telephone number to call to sort over the phone.
Their ‘support department’ is completely incompetent and claim I’ve been removed.
Really? That’s why your hopeless company is still emailing me? Idiots.
Let’s hope the ICO can get this company closed down as that’s all that will stop these morons.
Please report your experience to the ICO
Like many others here getting spammed continually by Jobzooma to update my profile for their GDPR compliance. And like others emails to support to be removed from their system have no effect in the spam train.
Update: It seems Jobzooma don't like negative reviews, and will try to take down reviews on the basis that their continually spamming you and not responding to to multiple emails to their support address to remove details does not constitute a relationship upon which a review of them can be made. However the following is in the email they sent: "If you believe your data has been obtained illegally please refer your case to the ICO." As my multiple remove attempts don't mention my handle on here they didn't act on them it seems. So next step is they report me to the Trustpilot compliance team, whom with I will be happy to share all the spam they sent me, and the attempts to stop it.
Update 2.
TrustPilot have confirmed from the email trails I sent them, including requests for removal that I have a valid "relationship", and kept my report active. Also still getting spam from them, this morning from "Adam Elphick"
Original post :=
The way they have set up their email is to make it difficult for them to be blocked.
To send email Jobzooma are using Amazon SES which is part of Amazon Cloud computing service (known as AWS), which has a reputation for spammer hosting due to price and a poor abuse service.
The replyto email address at jobzooma.com is hosted at google on gmail, but reporting this spam to the abuse at gmail dot com is not helpful, as this is not the source of the spam.
The jobzooma.me.uk address is a bit of a red herring, and is hosted at 123.reg, and like gmail not part of the outbound spam issue.
So back to how to report the spam, which doesn't get them to actually delete anything, for that the only hope is probably the ICO, so do report it there.
If you are recieving this on a service like gmail, then report as spam, Amazon do listen to ISP reports as they don't want amazonses.com to be blacklisted.
You can also report directly to Amazon AWS, but it is made to be as difficult as possible to deter reports, as they have little interest in kicking off paying customers. There is an abuse at amazonaws.com, however you can't forward attachments to it, so its very difficult to send the information needed, again part of the Amazon bullet proof hosting strategy. There is also a web form (google for "Amazon AWS EC2 abuse") to find it, but even if you have good IT knowledge on how to read email headers to extract the IP address times and timezones this is not as easy as it could be.
If you run you own email server, then blocking *.amazonses.com will stop it, and plenty of other spammy lists, though there may be issues with "genuine" list email being dropped. This approach has become very popular due to the Amazon approach to spammer/scammers (pay us and do it, but not to gmail or Microsoft accounts).
Basically its difficult to deal with professional spammers/scammers that use Amazon AWS, we all need to report to the ICO and mark as spam.

Unsolicited job listings received twice a day
I started receiving job listings that are totally unsuitable for me, notwithstanding that I never asked for them, have been retired for two years, and moved house 50 miles away on retirement. They list thousands of System Manager jobs available around my old address. Why?
How can I get Jobzooma to stop this ridiculous onslaught? Why do they continue to do it despite GDPR regulations?.

Reply from Jobzooma
Same as everyone else - spammers, not GDPR compliant, bloody useless! Steer well clear.
Same as everyone else - sending unsolicited emails, saying I'm removed, then still emailing me. Also reporting to ICO. Demanded full explanation and apology but not optimistic.
Not GDPR complaint
Not GDPR complaint, working from data not submitted to them that is also over 11 years out of date.
Edit: Following your reply on the 18th "Hi Stu, Please email into $email so we can remove you from our database and mailing lists. Thanks"
I did so on the 15th. I continue to receive unsolicited emails from Jobzooma.
Edit 19 July 2018:
I have since been contacted by Jobzooma suggesting that as I have not used their services my review is not valid. This would imply they are likely trying to get negative reviews removed.

Utterly disgraceful business!
Utterly disgraceful business!
They’ve been hounding me for months with spam emails.
I’ve now replied on 5 separate occasions telling them to delete my info as they do not have permission to hold my data. None of those replies have been answered.
Looking at the comments below, they clearly do look at those email boxes, but only do anything about the email if it contains ‘Trustpilot’ in the name of the title.
Clearly they don’t have permission to hold the level of data that they do.
I’ve never given my details to them and the job title they hold for me is 11 years out of date.... yep... 11 years!
I’ve had enough of this company, so I’m reporting them to the Information Commissioner.
And before they ask, I’m not putting ‘Trustpilot’ in the title of my email to them so they can selectively filter it and pretend to be goody two shoes.
The fact that they have my numerous emails is all they should need. Just goes to show they really can’t be trusted!
I sense a big fine coming their way from the ICO.
Update: In response to your email below. How many emails per day are you ignoring then?
You now have 6 emails from me over a 2 month period. Are you telling us that you have a 2 month waiting list to open an email?
If that is the case, there’s no way you could run your business!
And so that everyone knows - you do not send out ‘Support tickets’ to anyone.
Also, the reason I’m not clicking ‘unsubscribe’ to your spam is that unsubscribe has a completely different meaning to the deletion of data (which you’ve never had my permission to hold).
Just delete my data!
And no, I’m not going to reference Trustpilot in the emails. I’m leaving them as they are to prove that you ignore people’s requests unless it hurts you!
Further update:
Just to confirm that I’ve sent emails to both support@ (replying directly to your spam) and have also emailed & info@ (using the address on your website).
Just goes to prove that you selectively ignore things!
(Trustpilot doesn’t allow posting of email addresses, hence only posting the first part)
Just admit that you’ve got thousands of emails that you ignore!
There’s no issue in sending from my end, that’s for sure.
If you can’t find them, it proves that your IT is crap &/or that you have thousands upon thousands of complaints.... I suspect the latter!
Me putting ‘trustpilot’ in the email would just prove how crap your systems are and how ignorant you are to looking after people’s data!
I’ve even sent you an email with Trustpilot in the content now.... you still ignore it!
And now you’re sending me even more spam about IR35 assessments - irrelevant to me!
Worst company for data misuse on the planet!!!

I started receiving jobzooma emails…
I started receiving jobzooma emails about 2 weeks ago and they are still coming.
I see their responses say 'send us your details or contact us to remove you from our database'. After so much publicity they dont understand that this type of inertia marketing is illegal under GDPR. The obligation is on them to get explicit marketing consent.
My approach (for these fools and everyone else I am dealing with) is a demand for compensation of 3 hours of my time, about £150 plus £100 emotional distress/anger or a visit to court. They pay up or we go to the small claims court or which ever one is appropriate.
As a GDPR consultant I know what I am talking about and have waited for last friday for a long time to silence to cavalier arrogant fools who think they can treat my data and inbox how they like.
Edit: Please see my profile for details of how to get support for a GDPR non-compliance letter to send to the company.
Edit 23JUL18: Contacted by Jobzooma trying to claim I dont have the right to write a review of them and that the have my GDPR compliant consent. Both claims incorrect.
------From Jobzooma-----------
With regard to your recent Trust Pilot review, we apologise for the intrusion and we will readily delete your data from our database, if we haven’t already done so. However, the emails you received were sent to you to enable us to cleanse our database ahead of GDPR and not malicious or spam. Please be advised that the Trustpilot user guidelines for submitting a review state: Our User Guidelines set out that you can write a review if: • you have purchased a product or service from a company, an organisation, a web service, etc. ("the Company"), or • you have placed an order with the Company, or • you can otherwise document your use of the Company's service, including via correspondence or other interaction with the Company. From our records, it appears that you do not comply with any of the above and are therefore requesting that you provide evidence of compliance to avoid us referring this review to the Trustpilot Compliance Team. Your review refers to emails you have received from us in the process of cleansing our data ahead of GDPR. For your reference, your initial consent, obtained prior to 25th May 2018 was obtained when you submitted your CV to a job board or recruitment agency who were clients of iProfile and you would, therefore, have agreed to them sharing your information with iProfile for the purpose of assisting you in securing new or alternative employment. If you believe your data has been obtained illegally please refer your case to the ICO. If you would like your data removed from our system and have not already submitted a request for removal please email support at jobzooma.com and include the email address to which you have received emails from us.
------------------------------------------------My Response-----------
Your response is untruthful.
My review is on the basis that • "you can otherwise document your use of the Company's service, including via correspondence or other interaction with the Company". To be specific, my forced use of your services.
You clearly know nothing about GDPR given this response
" For your reference, your initial consent, obtained prior to 25th May 2018 was obtained when you submitted your CV to a job board or recruitment agency who were clients of iProfile and you would, therefore, have agreed to them sharing your information with iProfile for the purpose of assisting you in securing new or alternative employment. "
I have complained to the ICO and I am taking you to court for breaking my rights under GDPR.
I have written to your registered address, and emailed info at jobzooma.com on 1st June 18 with my complaints and had no response.
Spamming me the same as everyone else here
They're spamming me on an old email address that hasn't been used for job applications for 10 years so they've harvested the information from somewhere dubious. I never click unsubscribe links from spammers as it just tells the spammer that the account is active. The best I can reccomend to anyone getting these mails is to add them to your junk mail list and ignore them. It'll be interesting to see how much of a fine they get when GDPR comes in, these can't be flagged as legitimate interest on email addresses that are no longer used so they're definitely in breach, it's a question of how much they're in breach.
EDIT: It appears they bought a site called iProfile which recruiters used to upload CV's to, unfortunately they seem to have assumed that the recruiters had explicit consent to upload the CV's there which they didn't, I certainly didn't give consent. They are really going to get crucified by GDPR.
Jobzooma have now been in contact with me asking me to remove the review as it breaches Trustpilot T&C's which apparently state that I need to have signed up for the service. That being the case why are they spamming me if I haven't used their service. They're now contradicting themselves and trying to bully themselves out of the dreadful reviews they're getting.
So after my discussions with Jobzooma the emails stopped... for about a month, I'm now being spammed twice a day again, not only that but I'm also being spammed by recruiters with unsuitable jobs on an old email address from an old CV.
Well, apparently the spam now originates from a different copy of my CV with a different email address, whilst I've asked them to stop I'm still getting spam a week later. Perhaps rather than contacting me via email this time they can remove me completely from their system based on the CV's they already have and put a block in to make sure that no 3rd party can ever upload my CV again as I absolutely DO NOT want to deal with Jobzooma EVER. I DO NOT GIVE THEM PERMISSION TO HOST MY CV AND NEVER WILL.
If Jobzooma are legitimate..
If Jobzooma are legitimate, which we highly doubt, then a very simple act for them to do is to restart with a fresh database with the GDPR compliant email addresses in their database.
I work in databases, database creation and data compliance, therefore if you want to give me a cock and bull story about how you have my email from "Legitimate sources" then I would challenge you to try!
I never give my email out without giving express consent or not as the case me be to third party, or even first party contacting. I will not be confirming my email address as I already think that you have enough information to go on!

Appears to be Spam e-mail farming personal info.
Spammers and farmer's of people's personal info, in my opinion.. Responded to their address which was bounced by mailer Daemon which says the address does not exist. Olivia Marsden who sent the e-mail has the incorrect current job title against my details.
Clicked on the "unsubscribe" link and lo, I receive another e-mail within a few days with the same incorrect current job title from another CV job matching company. This is an annoying and, I believe, illegal way to do business and a report about both e-mails will be sent to the ICO. I encourage others to do the same. Have received another similar e-mail from Jobzooma saying CV library has a possible match after clicking the unsubscribe link. Is it a delay or have I just confirmed that my e-mail address is genuine to be sent jobmatch profiles to when I haven't been looking for employment for ten years? This is a correction to the report saying that it appeared that Jobzooma was sending e-mails under different company info which is actually not the case. Pls note, the original e-mails ended in me.co.uk which can be created by anyone and do not accept replies. Thank you for responding (below) - you now have a chance to assist in getting to the bottom of this.

Scammers, total incompetent people.
I like many others have sent multiple emails and asking them to remove me. They have an email that I have not used in years. And when you ask them to reset your password, they never do so. The whole idea is to login to remove an account, but according to their password reset, my details don't even exist. But I get at least an email a day. Total scammers and I am looking forward to the 25th of May and the GDPR, so that I could report them. 20 million euros or 4% of the turnover as a fine sounds sweet to me!
Update 18 July: they have contacted me privately and asked to give them more details or they are going to complain to trustpilot. If I were you Jobzooma, I would work on my privacy policy rather than doing all this.

Jobzooma? Run away as fast as you can
If at some point you have to deal with Jobzooma, run away as fast as you can.
These guys are either incompetent or professional scammer (possible both)
They keep spamming me asking to update information I never agreed to provide them in the first place. The info they have is 10 years old, meaning they kept these for a very longtime without wondering if I was Ok with that.
I send them dozen of emails asking them to stop, clicked I don't know how many times on the Unsuscribe url: they keep spamming me.
I've asked them to provide me the personal information they have about me, they never sent it.
And those guys dare claim they understand GDPR ;) True story this is the title / reason of their unsolicited emails asking for updated information
And when finally you get in touch with their support (on twitter), and you mentioned that you already sent dozen of emails: the only explanation they can think of is "email is not a reliable system".
In addition to the fact it not true, it's even funnier considering they are answering almost everyone to send email to their support to get unsubscribed from their list.
Terrible company, terrible support, ignore them and run away!
Edit:
Following Jozooma below answer. Ttheir support tries to explained me email was not reliable, to justify why they did not remove me from their databases after rdozens of emails. So No Jobzooma, the explanation from your staff regarding me not knowing your DB schema is irrelevant, and just pure bullsh***. I'm more than happy to publish the transcripts if needed. Your unsusicribe link does not work, you do not answer to the emails sent to your support (on YOUR request), so stop trying to get away with this by changing the subject. I never claim I knew your DB system, because it's irrelevant in my complaint.
And BTW I'm still waiting for my personal data (not in my spam folder. Maybe you are going to argue again mail is not reliable? So bad luck, in over 20 years, I never had so much trouble to communicate by email with someone).
You guys are a fraud.

Company in breach of data protection rules and ignore all requests to delete information obtained from 3rd party without permission
I have been signed up to Jobzooma by a 3rd party agency without my permission. Jobzooma have so far ignored all requests to delete any and all information they hold on me which is in breach of data protection rules even before GDPR comes into effect. There is no way to opt out and remove all information from their websites. I had been sent several emails by them asking to confirm details for GDPR rules but did not do this and instead emailed their support @ jobzooma.com email address earlier this week asking for all to be deleted. Instead they setup an alert against my email address and have been emailing me every day this week. Subsequent emails have also all been ignored. Unless my request for removal and confirmation of it is confirmed in the next few days I shall be reporting them to the Office of the Information Commissioner for breaching data protection rules. If I knew which Agency is using their facility I would report them too as they should not be passing such information over to jobzooma or iProfile whom jobzooma claim to have recently purchased.
8 May - in response to your reply. How can I have a support ticket when you have ignored three emails requesting that you remove all data? One of the emails was sent to "Olivia" as that is who sent it. Instead of actioning it you simply set up an alert which I'd not received before then so its perfectly obvious that you received the emails. It is not just a question of the alerts, its the fact that you hold information on me, and no doubt will continue to unless you delete it completely, which you do not have permission to have. Perhaps you should check your emails and action all requests to delete because its perfectly plain from the reviews on here that you are not doing so.
8 May 2nd rely - I have forward the email for a fourth time FAO Olivia requesting completion deletion of all information you hold on me and not just the removal of any alerts. You have no permission to hold any information at all, not just to email me alerts. I suggest you ensure that this is done and confirmed to me as soon as possible.
9 May - this is ridiculous. As requested I forwarded the request which had been sent three times previously for Jobzuma to remove all data they hold on me. Instead of doing this, I get an email today asking me to confirm for GDPR. Interestingly all emails received from the company have been marked as spam by gmail. Says everything really.
The email was received at 12:05 today so Jobzuma you can go look in your sent emails for such a request and get my details from there. I'm not prepared to respond again since all you will no doubt do is setup yet another alert rather than read the email and action it as requested. You can do the leg work and cross reference with the four other emails I have sent to your support mailbox and action accordingly.
10 May - All five emails were addressed to support@ jobzuma.com (please note the space between @ and jobzuma in the post is because Trust Pilot do not allow email addresses to be posted and was not on the emails themselves). At least one of them must have been received by you because instead of actioning it you set up an alert. This alert did not exist until I sent in the first email on 30 April. Prior to that you had sent three emails on 10th, 18th and 25th April about GDPR, which I only found in the spam folder on 30 April which is when I sent my first of five emails requesting you remove all details you hold.
10 May 2nd Reply - Well I have no choice but to report this to the Office of the Data Commissioner then. Considering I never received an email alert until after I sent the first response, it sounds very fishy to me. I unsubscribed from your email alerts a few days ago and have now received another email about GDPR some 15 days after the previous, prior to that they were every week. Your email claims that you recently took over iProfile yet the facilities you provide are nothing like those iProfile used to provide. I've had no dealings with them since 2012 but its obvious from your emails that you have information on me that has been updated this year so has nothing to do with my previous dealings. I suggest you return to what iProfile used to do and email people when an agency registered candidates with iProfile which gave them the opportunity to request the profile be deleted. You provide no such service other than expecting us to email yourselves when you then say you have not received them. Very convenient for you and totally unsatisfactory for anyone else. I also believe that agencies setting up profiles with you, assuming that is what has happened here, may well be in breach of data protection rules since permission has not been given for this to be done. At the very least I suspect it will be in breach of GDPR when that launches.
It seems Jobzoom's director has previous with unsolicited emails and has been in trouble with the Advertising Standards Authority in the past - see decision 23 Sept 2015 against Vertifi Ltd. Vertifi Ltd apparently owned iProfile.
10 May 16:11 What is the point in me emailing you for a sixth time when you claim you have never received any of the previous five emails? I would suggest you sort out your website so that people can easily remove their details since your mailbox appears to be rejecting peoples emails so widely. The other reviews on here, plus elsewhere show that the problem is your side.

I am now getting emails in my spam box from an Olivia Marsden, but the email address is jobzooma.me.uk - is this even legit? And if it isn't, why aren't the REAL Jobzooma doing something about these fraudulent arseholes who are clearly getting them a bad name?!
I don't see why I have to click on anything, anyway... JUST DELETE ALL MY DETAILS FROM YOUR RECORDS!!! YOU HAVE MY BLESSING!!!
