Jiobit For Kids Reviews 8

This review is based on my most recent issue, otherwise I would have given Jiobit four stars (if device had been smaller, it would have certainly been five stars.) I had Jiobit for over two years for my cat. It worked great and I recommended it to many people who posted that their cat was lost, to purchase for when he/she was found safe. My Carlos had a few of them as the battery died before we could find where the first ones were able to be found. But now, Carlos lost it again about six months ago and I was hoping I could find it. Now you cannot purchase on their website, Chewy, and Amazon says it doesn't know when or if they will come back in stock. I spoke to customer service via email, and they asked me to be patient while they try to get it back into availability. I have been paying $9mo for a device I no longer have and I just canceled it and will have to start all over if I ever get one again. I am now looking into another GPS device that now claims they make one smaller than the last one they had for cats. I am super disappointed in Jiobit :(

Device didn't work so I emailed them requesting a refund and cancellation of my subscription. They told me to return the item using a print label they sent me, which I did. It's been a month and I still haven't received my refund. Moreover, today, I was charged for the monthly fee even though I told them I wanted to cancel. Absolutely appalling.

Jiobit is a shady company. The device and service works as advertised but it is exquisitely sensitive to the slightest wear. My child's Jiobit stopped working. After about 5 emails of complaining from me, they asked for pictures and decided that the outer case was damaged. There was what looked like a tiny tear in the outer case where the green LED is located. The casing is very thin to let through the light from the LED. The Jiobit was always well protected in a buttoned pocket on my child. I believe that it was a manufacturing/engineering flaw that they are well aware of. They refused to replace the Jiobit and I, very disappointed, canceled the subscription. I don't trust this company.

After doing a lot of research, I got a Jiobit for my young adult autistic son to use when he's out in the community without me. He has a couple of activities each week that he goes to by riding door-to-door city transportation for the disabled that comes to our house to pick him up & takes him to his activity where staff are waiting for him. It's such a peace of mind to now be able to see exactly where he is with the Jiobit, and I get a notification that he arrived once he gets there, and I also set a perimeter at the locations he goes where I get a notification when he leaves that perimeter. I got the 2 year plan, so monitoring is only $8.99 per month--well worth it, which was also one of the main reasons I chose Jiobit over some of the others I considered, after I first confirmed Jiobit had lots of good reviews on different websites. I only have to charge the Jiobit once a week, so it has long battery life. It also has lots of different ways to attach the Jiobit. My favorites at the moment are to either attach it to my son's shoe to keep it away from the main part of his body or use the magnetic key to attach the pouch/holder to just inside the hemline of his shorts or pants. I'm very happy with the Jiobit and the peace of mind it gives me to see exactly where my son is at all times. Thank you Jiobit!

I'm really happy with Jiobit so far. The battery lasts forever, so whatever was going on, the company has fixed the issue. I look forward to getting the lockable pin once it's back in stock. Accurate location and live location modes. My son is autistic and I worried he would be bothered by it, but after a couple months it's just become part of his wardrobe. I wish the alert sound were louder, but my hearing isn't great. Customer service is EXCELLENT. I always get a response within a 1-2 hour window and they are so helpful with trouble shooting any phone issues.

Horrible Product and really shady owner!!! I have had nothing but issues with our Jiobit devices. Our first one completely broke open. They sent a second did the same thing. THEN they sent a third "new" replacement. When I opened it had scuff marks and scratches all over it.

BUT here is what made me really frustrated. I bought it off Amazon and left a 1 star review. They reached out to me regarding my 1 star review asking how they can make it right. I said...how about delivering on what you promised?

Then the founder / ceo John emailed me he said that Jiobit is a really small brand and how my 1-star was really hurting them. He wanted to know if I could return the product and then they give me a full refund plus a $120 Amazon gift card to take the review down. He said Amazon was "critical" for the brand to make it.

If you want to know why Jiobit has such high ratings on Amazon it is because they literally are paying people for 4 and 5 stars while also paying people to remove bad ratings.

Stay away from them. Oh and I didn't remove my 1-star on Amazon.

We ordered two of these devices for our children while we
travelled. It was very important to us that our children were safe
and accounted for. This device promises to help keep your
children safe and to have a battery that lasts for 1 week. Sounds
like a wonderful thing for parents.

THE GOOD

** More or less accurate and works via bluetooth for short range and cellular for long range.
** More or less lets you know if your child is within a 300 foot radius of you.

THE BAD

** Battery lasted MAYBE 6 hours or less on some days. Brand new device, connected to wifi in our hotel and used with trusted places, the battery was constantly dying. Even if the battery lasted 24 hours you could at least trust the device while you were out and about with your children

** We were out of town for an entire month (we specifically ordered the Jiobit to protect our kids while traveling), when we returned we attempted to return the devices, Jiobit would not budge on their 30 day return policy. This was their policy, however I had hoped that they would stand behind their product -- especially based on the circumstances. Do not expect them to take any responsibility outside their arbitrary terms.

THE UGLY

** They continued to charge my credit card for MONTHS after I cancelled. Not only did the device not work, they KEPT CHARGING me even after I clearly cancelled. They even stopped billing my account for a month and then resumed later. WOULD NOT BE SURPRISED IF THIS HAPPENS FREQUENTLY.

I would never do business with companies that don't stand behind their products and that pull shady and dishonest tricks like this. BUYER BEWARE.
