My 13 y/o daughter and I spent an hour in the simulator, as I really want to give her a wide range of experiences on which to base her future career choice. This certainly fit the bill, as it was both fun & informative. We got a glimpse into the life of a commercial pilot. Will she choose this direction for herself? Who knows, but she's certainly a little more informed than she was a week ago. Victor was friendly & helpful and really helped us get the most of our time at Jetex. Highly recommended.

My wife surprised me with a voucher for this experience, knowing how much I love anything about aviation – from the beauty of the feeling you experience when you are 30,000+ feet to the materials used in the nuts and bolts that keep together these engineering marvels that we simply call planes.

Upon arrival, Joe welcomed me, and then I realised that he will be the ‘pilot monitoring’, as I will be the ‘pilot flying’, which felt very empowering, even though I had never that such thing before. Initially, I expected to be sitting in the First Officer’s seat (the right one), but nooo… I was kindly asked to join the Captain’s seat (the left one), which again gave me an interesting feeling of curios anxiety, combined with sheer fascination of being trusted with the plane.

In hindsight, not reading anything on their website about them, and just solely focussing on getting the voucher booked, added to the whole experience, making it even more fascinating, not knowing what to expect.

I had previously read about aviation, planes, and their primary and secondary surface controls, together with all the other systems, it was simply lovely to chat to a licensed commercial pilot and feel almost on the same level in terms of knowledge (not skills, of course!).

Joe talked me through the various things that we will be doing in-and-out of Bristol airport, and he was surprised by how quickly I managed to pick things up, get the aircraft under control, trim it, and then execute the various interesting thing – flying over Bristol to get a hang of the controls, touch and go, engine failure, going around with an engine failure and flying solely based on the instruments given the low visibility scenario.

Even writing this, I get absolutely mesmerised by the feeling I had in that moment, because I had dreamed for a long time of getting to experience flying… this is how astounding this simulator experience was!
Joe, the real pilot, mentioned that the feeling the simulator provides is remarkably similar to what you would experience in the real plane, which added to the whole experience to be simply sublime!

I am looking forward to flying again with them! (you get priority boarding and seats, and the best view by default, no commercial airline can beat that!)

Brilliant experience, felt like the real thing, even got my usual pre takeoff collywobbles and forgot I was in a simulater. Instructor was great, even though I crash landed twice !
If you love everything about planes and flying you will love this, a great professional experience, would definitely do again.

Amazing. I only did half an hour as a taster but will definitely be back for more.

Really enjoyable. Amazing instructor who explained everything perfectly and the actual flight was so realistic, even including turbulence!

A really hidden gem of a company.
After a very friendly welcome by Romek I met Matts who was to be my instructor for the 1 hour experience. Matts is a fomer SAS pilot and is extremely knowledgeable on the B737-800 and made me feel so at ease on the fight deck. Having experienced other simulators in the past, until now, I have never had the opportunity to fly a full motion simulator; what an experience it was; just like being in the air!
I had a wonderful time flying circuits from Gatwick both at night ans in the day, with and without autopilot assistance, turbulence, and closing off with a landing at Skiathos airtort (JSI) which has an extremely short runway with hills on each side and ea at each end with no runoff; managed to land and stop without getting my feet wet!
What a great hour I had at JetEx and would thoughly recomend to anyone who wanting to experience the nearest thing to flying a real 737.

This flight simulator experience was really very good indeed. It was very immersive and I immediately felt that I was actually flying a jet. The instructor was superb and my hour literally flew past. I will definitely be doing this again. Excellent!

Attended today with my son who is 12 years old. It was well worth the visit for this experience. The set up of the simulator was top class and the instructor Simon was great and gave just the right amount of guidance… we took off and landed at Bristol, Gatwick and New York. We both recommend.

What a great experience - Staff are excellent and ensure you get the most out of the brilliant simulator.

You cannot believe that you are still in an industrial unit in Frome! Did a few circuits at Bristol and then landed a few times at Cardiff. All in 60 minutes!

I really can’t recommend this highly enough. The instructor was brilliant, friendly, reassuring, patient and with just the right balance between hands-on and gentle coaching. The full motion simulator is superb and completely involving. I’m sure I heard screams from the passenger cabin as I made a late altitude adjustment on approach to Palma de Mallorca 06L. Thank you for a great time - I’ll definitely be back.

This was my first ever experience at a flight simulator, and I found it absolutely amazing, so life like and accurate, a couple of hiccups during landing, but managed it.
Can't wait to go back and do it again,would recommend it to anyone, the staff are so friendly and knowledgeable, they also let my son have a go at working some of the controls, well worth the money, so come on everyone get out there and do it, Thank you to all the staff at jetex for an amazing experience.

You were very prompt and on the clock 3:35 Sharp Mat was excellent and educated my son on lot of aspects of flying and science behind.

Fantastic experience! I was observing from the jump seat while teenage son had his session. Really friendly staff. Fantastic tuition - well-paced; responding really well to his needs and ability; and adding challenge and variety all the time. The simulator itself was so realistic - I had to close my eyes and brace for the first landing!

What a fantastic experience! The hour absolutely flew by and the instructions calmly given by an excellent pilot.
The variety of take off and landings in daylight, at night and with and without instrument assistance made for a very exciting hours flying experience not to be missed.

As a frustrated wanna-be commercial airline pilot from my school days, until now I had only experienced three trial flights in a Cessna from a local airfield. To celebrate a recent birthday my wife and family gifted me with a 90 minute flight in the JetEx simulator. To say that it was an experience that I will never forget is an understatement. My friend who came with me and I were treated to coffee and biscuits in the lounge prior to entering the flightdeck and wow - was it impressive! Taking the captains seat I was given so basic instructions by my instructor before setting off. I then experienced what I can only describe as truly amazing piloting us on a number of flights from my local airport to Gatwick, take-off and landing at Alicante and (as more of a challenge I was told) a trip out and back from Innsbruck with snow covered mountains all around us. If you want an experience that would be hard to better, go and do it yourself... you will not be disappointed!

I visited with my 18yr old grandson, I have now been to two other companies that provide the fixed base, but thought i would give this one a try as nearer to me, Yes it was a little more expensive, but the experience was a world away from the others, We were greeted and a conversation on what we had done before, i am by no means an expert, but once in the simulator i did a take off and landing with my instructor from Gatwick(Who was very knowlegable and was bombarded with questions from us) BUT what surprised me was that he then moved out of the first officers seat and my grandson was alongside me, We had booked 1hr each, but we were able to take it in turn with Take off and landing in a wide choice of airports (Which we were not in others) Obviously the instructions came from our instructor who used a laser pen to guide us to the settings from behind.
Brilliant day out (Beefeater opposite) We i am sure will be back.
Try it you will not be disappointed.

Really friendly and welcoming staff, I bought a 2 hour trip for my nephew who LOVED IT. I went in the cockpit for a bit and even that was amazing. Joe the instructor, was brilliant. A really amazing experience. Highly recommend, thank you JetEX. Yes, not cheap, but memories are everything... and worth every penny.

First time sim flight, 90 min fantastic experience. Once going down the runway at Gatwick you soon forget you are in a small industrial unit. Crashed at Gatwick, landed successfully at Gatwick, with 20 mins left flew over Himalayas and landed at Kathmandu. Friendly, knowledgeable staff with the experience tailored to your needs. Wish I had one in the garage.

This was a present for my Dad who loved it. The team at JetEx were really friendly and allowed Dad to choose where to takeoff from and then moved to a 2nd airport for another go.
It's a brilliant simulator.
