Unethical return policy. I received my items on June 1, packed the return using the label they provided and sent it back. They received it on June 20 and waited 10 days to process the return then issued me a store credit instead of a refund because it was 30 days after the order date. They use USPS for shipping and count the USPS transit time against you. Will be disputing the charge with my credit card and will never order from them again. Cheating your customer is no way to financial solvency.

Not Happy
I’ve had to have a couple encounters with J.Crew customer service, and I’ve been dissatisfied every single time. They are extremely strict with certain policies. They wouldn’t do an exchange for a different size and they wouldn’t price match my new order I had to make for the new size. On a separate occasion, I had my return get lost in the mail and they wouldn’t refund my money and file a claim with the carrier. It’s just too risky buying from them.
Return policy for sale items is awful!
Wish I could rate J. Crew better, because I love their styles. However, I am very frustrated by their return policies, especially when it comes to sales. Currently, they have a great sale going on for Memorial Day, but I cannot buy anything because all sales are Final Sale and cannot be returned. These are items that are current merchandise, but are on a holiday promotion. This is so frustrating because there are no stores near me and it is impossible to gauge sizing, fit, or even quality online. Other stores I shop at regularly do not have such a policy. J. Crew - please allow those of us who shop online to return items when they are on sale!

Size chart isn’t what you think it is
You have to be really careful about the sizing. I’ve ordered several pairs of pants recently that were up to 9 inches larger than the size chart indicated they would be. After discussing it on chat with a JCrew representative, I was told the sizing chart is a guide. Not anything specific to a particular garment. They’re very good about letting you return even if it is final sale — If you tell them the sizing was off. Still, they should be honest about that size chart. It’s nothing but a guess.

Orderd a t-shirt from out of the Netherlands. Such a fast delivery, within a week I received my order. And most of all great quality.
Order Cancelled
Ordered 2 pair of shorts. 2 hours later received an email that my order was cancelled because the shorts were out of stock. It's not too damn hard to keep your website updated.
Do not buy from this store
I wish I had read these experiences before I purchased from J Crew. They are not a reputable company. I returned my order within the time frame specified in their return policy but they refused to give me a refund. They stated the package had to physically be at their return facility within 30 days which is not stated in their policy and not standard practice. The company sells outdated, bland clothes and is really not helping their reputation with this penny pinching, dishonest customer service behavior.

Separately bought two items. One showed up as the wrong size, style, and color than what I ordered; completely different. The other item UPS claims they couldn't find my address, yet I've never had any other problems receiving packages. Have yet to receive any refunds.

She not only handled it with great courtesy but also solved the issue in my best interest, well done. I will tell all my friends about this pleasant experience. Wow! Since when did J.Crew start charging a $7.50 return fee in USA?
I'm so unhappy because my family and myself have been J.Crew shoppers for 20+ years. My mom bought from them way back in the 1990s and still a loyal customer. I thought having a J.Crew account allowed me to return items for free but apparently they charge a $7.50 return fee for the label which I don't recall them doing in the past. I'm disabled so I cannot go to their retail store in a different borough of NYC so now I have no choice but to take $7.50 out of my $35 return. So upset! If I had known sooner, I wouldn't have purchased online. Be aware of this if you're a shopper. I never buy from companies that charge return shipping unless I know I'll keep the item. What a mistake on my end.
Atrocious customer service
I purchased 2k worth of merchandise - J crew somehow (I don't know how) used an incorrect address for some of the items and the correct for others. In total 6 shipments went out, and 5 went to the wrong place. Prior to arrival, I noticed the address was incorrect and contacted cs - the gave me a non-answer and a bunch of outdated screen shots of UPS My Choice, telling me to create an acc with the wrong address to change it. I already have an account with the correct address - so, no. that is not a solution. I contacted UPS to reroute, and I could not do it bc the shipper (J crew) disabled that option bc they use sure post (USPS last mile). So - I went back the Jcrew CS and after several useless replies to my question - I asked for an actual resolution. I was told too bad so sad! nothing they can do. I can tell you that competitor retailers would resolve this for you - because I've had to ask (LLbean, Patagonia for example). I know J crew has really gone backwards in the last decade and this is further proof. Thanks - now I am out 2K!
Horrible online customer service
The customer service for online purchase is horrible! I purchased a shirt online like 6 weeks ago and after a month there's still no update so I contacted an agent to cancel the order. It has been another two weeks and apparently they still have not processed the cancellation. You know that when I cancel orders on other websites, the agents would cancel the order at the spot and the refund would be back in a week. For J Crew it's not the case. It would take a month to process the cancellation and another month to send the money back. Thank you very much

I bought several button down shirts, one has a button hole that isn't completed. After washing once, before wearing, it is unravelling. Another shirt's collar isn't sewn completely, midway the stitching stops. Both issues speak to Quality Control as well as J Crew's attempt to make a buck by selling poor quality, poorly made clothing. Shame on J Crew!
Sent me wrong item, and charged me to return it
They shipped me a pair of ladies shorts as part of my order, instead of my shirt. Then said if i wanted to return, they will charge me the $7.50 return fee. FOR THEIR MISTAKE.
J Crew and eShopworld
This is a mirror of my review about eShopworld earlier today (which is JCrew’s, apparently, international fulfilment partner).
I ordered items on 24 Aug 2022, and payment was very promptly taken, and an email on 25 Aug 2022 informed me that the order had purportedly been dispatched. A link (which subsequently turned out to be utterly useless since it did not update information beyond 25 Aug 2022) was given in the email for me to, ostensibly, track my order.
Come 13 Sep 2022, despite my many attempts to track the order, the information on the eShopworld page remained unchanged since 25 Aug 2022, ie it was at their international hub.
I have since been trying to get a response either to get my items delivered or my money refunded. I have been shuffled from pillar to post by eShopworld who insists I contact JCrew.
NOBODY has seen fit to respond with an explanation or solution.
Mind you, this isnt the first time I am buying from JCrew.

“Canceled order, not enough”
Ordered about 6-7 items. J. Crew canceled an order for one of the T-shirts. Sent me an email saying “wish we had enough”. Mayb update the online store, just a thought. Was pretty mad about it. Then I order a second time a few days later before I received the “wish we had enough email”, only to get another “wish we had enough” email. That’s two separate orders within a few days and completely different items and you cancel both. Makes people angry when then happens so please update your online store please. Not shopping there anymore when I can’t get what I ordered. I will take my Karen butt somewhere else to get cancelled thank you very much.
Ordered some sneakers on the 22nd of…
Ordered some sneakers on the 22nd of July, delivery was estimated on 29th or sooner. On the 30th of July I was still yet to receive my sneakers, and there were no updates in my inbox, just said "Pending" on the website. I wrote to Customer Service on their website asking where is my delivery and asked for a refund if it's not shipped yet since I would be unable to receive the delivery after Aug 1st. Customer Service said they will cancel my order but no refund since they charge when they ship only. I told them I have been deducted money from my PayPal already, to which the Customer Service agent replied (direct quote): "We charge after shipment". Period! Now, technically, they were right, it appears it was only some sort of pending authorisation charge. But de-facto I was called a lier to my face while my money was in fact, withdrawn.
2 days later the charge came back to my PayPal.
2 stars is very generous, but I guess thanks for at least not scamming me.
