Pending?
After finding that Jarrold's was selling what I was looking for cheaper than anywhere else, I didn't hesitate. After paying, using my credit card, I thought it strange that the transaction was still "pending" on my banking app several days later.
Jarrold's, did actually email me to say they were "experiencing delays".
However, my credit card company has now cancelled the transaction!
I feel that had Jarrold's actually been able to fulfil the sale of the goods, they would have taken payment and not let the transaction time-out.

Arranged to pick up 4 big parcels 27/03/26 they didn’t get pick up so rang them on Saturday morning who assured me the monday. And they wasn’t picked up due to staffing issues
So i rang Monday told them i would leave them outside behind the hedge
Was sent a time that they would get pick up a 2 hour time slot has I wasn’t in i rang again and explained they would be and they said they would update system
I had a email later that day saying missed delivery driver came i wasnt in ( HE LIED I HAVE RING DOOR BELL AND HE DIDNT EVEN COME DOWN GARDEN PATH )
So then i had to arrange again so ( and pay a missed payment fee
So the was eventually picked up Tuesday ( i rang Tuesday to complain ask to speak to a manager operator said he was manger but later that day he wasn’t the manager just a customer advisor so he lied
And i use apc over night so the parcel gets to buy the next day
They didn’t receive till the Thursday 2 nights after they pick and 4 days after schedule pick up
Since then every time I tied to ring to complain.
So jarrolds logicstic are a bunch of liars
1 driver didn’t even come to my house
Was told he did but ring doorbell says different
2 was told definitely will get pick up next day. They Wasn’t tuck 2 extra dats to get picked up
3 when asked to speak to manager was told i was. Only to be told later that day manager on a course so who lied he the customer advisor in morning saying he was the manager ir the customer advisor in afternoon saying manager was on a course for couple of days

Don’t bother…..all style poor food and poor service
Visited the wine bar late afternoon yesterday, ordered two platters, (pate and cheese), side plates provided had greasy thumb prints - tables left needing basic wipe over. Salad dressing on one platter tasted of soap, so salad completely in edible. When we queried this with the server, she seemed uninterested and said it was maybe the leaves?? (There was no reason for both salads to be dressed the same with the same leaves to taste differently), no attempt to apologise or investigate the issue. We had to repeatedly ask for service despite multiple staff on duty and there only a few customers. Unfortunately this was all style but quality and service completely missing.
Very disappointing and expensive
I had a meal in Jarrold's first floor restaurant. I ordered tomato and artichoke soup which seemed to be tomato soup with a lump of artichoke in it. The croutons were soft and so was the toast which did not have butter to accompany it. The price was ridiculous at £9. No wonder the place was nearly empty.
Very short expiry date on items
Ordered a single foodstuff online. Was unable to fulfill full order (only 5 out of 6 were available) which they were upfront about. Items arrived and they only had 2 weeks until expiry date left on them. These are items in jars that should last months. Will not buy from them again.

The company appear to sell quality…
The company appear to sell quality products from very well known branded companies but actually receiving them can be impossible. I placed an order of a Barbour jacket at the end of December. A few days later, I was informed via email that they did not have the jacket in stock. I was disappointed but thought it can happen occasionally. In January, I ordered a Mint Velvet lace jacket…and a few days later, I was informed via email that it was not in stock. I did email the company expressing my disappointment and they did email back the following day. The explanation given was that it happens sometimes. I find it hard to believe it can happen to the same person twice in less than two weeks. I won’t waste my time or money on this company again.
Unfriendly, judging staff
My friend and I visited Jarrolds at the weekend. We were thinking New Year, new decor and we’re in the sofa department. We saw a few sofas we liked the look off so sat on them to test the comfort level. On three separate occasions a staff member and then this staff member and another came and asked if we were okay, no smiling, just looks of disdain. I felt really uncomfortable, a little like how Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman felt when she went into a clothing boutique and was sneered at by women who clearly thought they were better. I certainly won’t be returning when I need to upgrade my furniture. As Julia said ‘Big Mistake. Big Huge.’

I arrived in a fluster Thursday 18th December for a rescue mission manicure.
She exceeded all expectations, she made me a beautiful green tea and set about transforming my unsightly hands into a pair to feel proud of.
I’m not a regular lady who pampers herself but I enjoyed and appreciated her talent so much that I’ve rebooked.
She was calm, professional, non judgemental and above all else sincerely kind.
I sent a photo of the finished product to our family group chat and the comments were …beautiful, Christmassy and wow.
It’s times like this that you believe in Santa as this was a gift that I really did not expect

Stinking toilet, expensive shop
Used to be a nice place for everyone. Now extremely expensive. Cafes shut early. Staff with nothing to do. Also the Ladies' on the top floor absolutely STINKS.

I love the atmosphere of Jarrolds in general but wanted to commend the cheese department of the deli in particular. I have never seen such a stunning and comprehensive range of cheeses. My friend and I felt like kiddies in a sweet shop as we explored them. Finding the Vacherin and seeing the excitement on my friend’s face was priceless. Well done Jarrolds.
Jarrolds is a wonderful store
Jarrolds is a wonderful store, let down by it’s appalling toilets ,the men’s on the deli floor is awful with a broken toilet handle which has been like that for months, the ladies toilets on the furniture floor have broken taps and is a poor condition. You would expect a store of this quality to focus on fixing this type of issue quickly not leaving it for months.

Wonderful service as always. My wife and daughter always insist when we are in the city, that we simply must stop there for a glass of bubbly in the food hall. The staff are always most pleasant to deal with.
There is a restaurant on the Top Floor where chef keeps picking at food and picking his teeth.

However, I have noticed a man Tall and large build with thick black glasses and dark short hair dressed in whites like a chef wandering around sticking his fingers in his mouth picking his teeth and then picking at the food like a child would taking a sausage or a piece of stuffing and walking up and down the area where the ladies cut the meat and serve the food.
I have also seen this same person pushing in front of the ladies while people are lining up and the ladies are very busy cutting meat and preparing food when he has just pushed in front of the ladies like a child totally oblivious to reality . I tried to talk to him and he just blanked me. With him there it has put me off the eating there.
Shocking level of service
Browsing menswear with my husband, three members of staff were talking amongst themselves and although I tried politely to get their attention (we had some questions about an All Saints jumper) by saying hello they totally ignored me and carried on talking, we managed to find a changing room but again no one to assist us. Jarrolds is a high end store with lovely merchandise but the staff totally let down the store, we ended up walking out after deciding not to buy anything. The whole experience was very depressing and I can honestly say we won’t be visiting again.

Online order for some plates and a butter dish. Great price, brilliantly packaged and prompt delivery. What more can I ask for! Very pleased. Thank you
Lovely store, poor delivery experience
Having recently moved to the area we loved visiting Jarrolds for the first time. Despite the fierce online competition, and many furniture stores locally, we were pleased to buy a sofa from them and support such an institution.
It arrived ahead of schedule and we paid the balance, after struggling to get an answer on the phone, arranged delivery and then heard nothing; no phone call, text message or email.
We called this morning, on the day of delivery, and received to answer on any of the numbers given, with messages like “call failed to transfer”.
We eventually got a call back to say it was, indeed, coming but in this day and age we expect better communication, which doesn’t even cost anything. No wonder the high street is dying.
The two delivery people were excellent, great ambassadors for the store. Such a shame they are letting themselves down in the warehouse.
This was our first purchase for our new home but there will not be a second.
Tom ford counter
Tom ford counter - second time now that I have been to this counter in Norwich and received terrible service where it’s genuinely made me feel uncomfortable and won’t visit again.
The older lady made me feel that Tom ford was out of my price range and said that the signature range would be too much for me. Sorry but how can she tell whether I can afford something or not?
The second time we was walking through jarrolds today and was giving the most disgusted look from two women working together on the same counter again
Why can’t the women on these brands treat everyone fairly?
I have gone to London Covent street to get my Tom ford perfume and service was brilliant.
Please ask your staff to treat people nicely. It goes a long way to give a great customer experience!
