Excellent - the perfect improvement when transferring from Lightroom
When exterminating everything to do with Adobe (several apps), four years ago, I needed something to replace Adobe Lightroom's gallery-building feature. jAlbum was the perfect replacement, and has remained so ever since. I also transferred to Darktable to develop RAW images. Both decisions have been absolutely right.

Discrepancy between the Hungarian translation of the jAlbum library and the program's English subdirectories 2.
Here is a corrected version of what I wrote earlier about my experience on 09/20/2025:
I did not receive a substantive response to my issue raised on August 21st, and I feel that they did not respond adequately to the discrepancy I complained about, namely that the Hungarian translation of jAlbum does not match the instructions I received earlier. For example, the problem caused by one part of the program is in Hungarian, while the rest (the subdirectories) are in English. Since they ignored the fundamental issue I raised, they were unable to help me solve my specific problem (I ended up trying to solve it myself).
In summary: there is a discrepancy between the Hungarian translation of jAlbum and the informative advice they gave, which I believe is because the main directory of jAlbum is in Hungarian, while the subdirectories are in English.
I stand by my original opinion in everything - especially since I have been receiving constant indoctrinating and condemning messages from the company ever since I turned to Truspilot. (What I wasn't aware of, I thought that jAlbum was asking for my opinion and evaluation.)
I think I'm best off not contacting them with any questions or requests in the future...

When you contacted support August 21 you wanted, and I quote "help in password-protecting my uploaded folders". Over several emails we provided instructions on how to do that and you eventually responded with a 👍, indicating that you were satisfied.
As side notes you said that the Hungarian client didn't match the English help pages, but that is of course natural when they are two different languages. All our help pages are in English. You never said that the discrepancy was your main issue, so saying that "they ignored the fundamental issue I raised" is simply not true.
If you are not satisfied with the support we give you, please tell us so directly. We are extremely patient when customers need help and can spend hours giving instructions and solving issues. We never give up until the customer has been helped. So if you haven't been helped don't respond with a 👍 to the support and then give us a bad review.

jAlbum support was excellent
jAlbum support was excellent. I accidentally upgraded my subscription instead of renewing it. I emailed support and the problem was fully corrected and support was very fast and friendly and accurate. I have been using jAlbum for a number of years to create short term online photo albums for friends and family to view and there is nothing else like it!
