Serum IVF Reviews 

I came to Serum on the recommendation of the acupuncturist I was attending in Ireland. I had decided to go it on my own to become a Mum and had 2 failed rounds of IVF with an Irish clinic. I was totally disillusioned by the process and the cost of it was overwhelming.

Every single time I attended Serum I got the same feeling as soon as I walked in the door. The staff are all so welcoming. You feel like they care about you, the person, and not about what you represent from a financial perspective. Sadly, that's not how I felt about the clinic I had been with in Ireland.

Penny was always so caring, so honest, so available whenever I had questions or concerns. I felt the team really looked at me as a unique case and not 'one option fits all'.

I finally welcomed my son this February. He is the best thing that has ever happened to me and it is all down to Penny and the team at Serum. I cannot articulate my gratitude to them. It was a very long, difficult journey for me but I got there! I cannot recommend this clinic enough. Yes, it's hard to travel last minute at times and it is tough to be away at times but if you want something badly enough you do whatever it takes to get there.

We struggled to conceive for many years. This includes 7 years of trying naturally and 2.5 years of IVF in UK. In this time, we never achieved implantation! I was disheartened, frustrated, disappointed that uk IVF clinics (3 in total) could not identify our specific, complex issues, that effected our fertility. I was then recommended Serum in January 2021 by many ladies in a similar situation to us. So in February 2021 we traveled to Serum clinic, was tested and treated. In March 2021 we transferred 2 frozen embryos back in the UK and amazingly we got pregnant for the very first time. I was so overjoyed but sadly we m/c at 8wks3days but what a progression! We returned to Serum for more treatment and tried again in July 2021 which resulted in a chemical pregnancy. We returned again in September 2021 and wow we are presently pregnant with a healthy baby at 31 weeks! Serum, specifically Penny, works miracles. I can’t believe we are pregnant. The care, attention, communication, methods/protocols are individual and unique to you. I can’t recommend Serum enough. Please consider them because if they’ve worked miracles for us… you never know, they could do the same for you too.

After many years, many tests, many clinics, and many disappointments, I was recommended Serum. I had no idea at the time just how amazing Serum would be. Apprehensive at first because it meant traveling to another country, I thought what did we have to lose. Little did I know that with the care, compassion, professionalism and a sprinkling of Penny’s magic, our hopes and dreams would come true. Like so many other couples, (and singletons), Penny gave us hope and her team made it possible for us to finally be holding our own baby in our arms. Thank you Serum, our hearts are full and our lives are finally complete. I cannot recommend this clinic enough.

If you ever were told or even just thought that your dream of becoming a mother might not come true, don't waist another minute and call Serum right away. I wish I did and saved myself time, tears and disappoinment. I initially called the clinic with very little hope left, but felt somewhat relieved right after the initial conversation with Penny. Serum is not just about knowledge, experience, keeping up with the research, attention and an individual approach to every case. It is also a place where you become a part of the family and start feeling stronger because of it. I did and I am eternally grateful to Serum.

Serum’s patient care and personal approach was absolutely amazing after my experiences in the UK. I only wish I had gone to Serum sooner. I don’t believe I would ever have had success had I stayed in the UK. Mine was a complex case but Serum persevered and encouraged me to keep going. Without them I would not have my gorgeous twins. A huge thank you to Sofia, Giannis K, the wonderful midwives and embryologists, Penny and all the other lovely staff for their care, consideration, kindness and thorough approach.

Our fertility journey started in 2014. After 4 failed IVF attempts in the UK and a lot of heartache and lost money we found Serum in 2018. We had very low hopes but Serum with their expertise, care and warmth changed all this and our son Luca was born in March 2019 when I was 41 years old. Serum did what no other clinic has done. The investigations they did were completely new to us but also my 5th IVF ended up being the easiest and most comfortable one out of all of them. We straight away felt so well taken care of, finally someone really cared and was not just after money. We will never ever forget the amazing Penny, Sofia and everyone else at Serum. They were incredible from start to finish and there is no other IVF clinic like Serum in the whole world.

I found serum after numerous failed attempts elsewhere. Restored my faith in fertility treatment, and ultimately secured me my baby where others thought it likely wasn’t possible. A no fuss friendly approach with Penny available to me almost immediately when I need advice or support….I wish I had found them sooner on my journey.

I knew about Serum back in 2009 but didn't have the guts to go abroad, Fast forward and 4 failed Ivf in the UK private sector and numerous Fet in between and not even much of a look in. Even in the uk private sector you still treated like a number and same treatment plans.
2018 thought why not and go out to Greece for a few nights get some tests done, Those tests changed everything. Antibiotics used to treat. And a Few months later went out for 2 weeks and had Ivf. 9 months later I was holding my baby. The staff, Penny are truly heroes and you still feel part of the family even years later.
The UK don't even do the tests, A couple of quid would have saved years of heartache and money.

I happened upon this clinic from researching and being in Facebook group discussions re ivf and I will never look back.
My partner and I were apprehensive at first but we were made to feel so at ease and part of of what felt like an extended family. Such a contrast in experience from a UK clinic I had attended previously who had been very negative and solely clinical to helping us in our journey to have a baby. Our 2nd attempt with Serum with changes to protocol allowed us to have our awesome boy. Medicine, plus positive and friendly attitudes/vibes and spirit from all at Serum enabled this to happen. Forever grateful to Penny and the wider team.

Penny and her team were amazing they were determined to help us. They were very thorough and honest with us from the start , no stone was left unturned. After an unsuccessful first round with them, our second attempt worked and we had our beautiful daughter who is now 3. We have suggested others to try Serum IVF and they too have been successful. We cannot thank them enough and will be forever grateful to them.

After lots of heartache we found Serum. We were helped from the 1st contact, had our hands held throughout and years later, with our precious child created with their help are a part of the worldwide Serum family. There are no words to express their dedication or our gratitude to an amazing team that we are honoured to call friends. Thank you all for changing our lives in such a beautiful way x

When I researched about fertility treatments and statistics, my prognosis was very poor due to my age of 43.

I was amazed by Serum’s unwaveringly positive approach, never once was it mentioned that my plight would be not be worth pursuing, even after reading that the positive birth rates in most UK clinics for my age were 0%. In fact, Serum told me about the many successes they had over the years for women of my age and older (yes older!) using their own eggs, and I knew that with patience, I had a chance.

We had a few tries with tweaks and new ideas and just after I turned 44 I became pregnant with my beautiful boy! Such a miracle, yet I somehow knew that this could be achieved through the experience, skill and care of all those involved in the clinic’s work.

Serum deserve world recognition as they are routinely achieving (and have been for many years) what many other clinics would see as extremely rare, some not wanting to even bother with what they would see as such an improbable outcome.

I had one failed round in the UK then 2 rounds of donor egg IVF at Serum. The second resulted in my beautiful son, born when I was 46.

We were so impressed with Serum, I saw Penny and also one of the doctors each time. Even my very sceptical partner was impressed.

Penny is honest and caring and supportive. Most definitely not in this for the money. When I had a natural pregnancy (ending in mc) in between rounds of ivf she still supported me. She and the whole team are amazing.

Serum really is an extended family, so many women go out on their own to cycle and make life long friendships and form amazing support groups. I’m really sad to see people referring to fake reviews. Nothing fake about my beautiful boy and I actually know several of the women who have posted on here,

We've first met Sofia and Giannis at an outreach clinic in London. From the start we felt comfortable and well cared for and then and there we decided to go with Serum for our treatment. 4 months after the initial meeting we went over to Greece for the treatment. It was very personal, we were greeted and treated like old friends. Everything was great, the communication, the individual protocols, which were tailored to everyone's needs, rather than a one-size-fits-all approach, the team... just everything. We were successful on our first round of IVF and went on to have twins, who are now 3 years old.
Serum is more than just a clinic, they are family. We hope to be able to meet the team again and introduce them to our twins.

Serum holds such a special place in my families hearts. I have twin nephews from serum and after multiple unsuccessful UK treatments with ‘one size fits all protocol’ I too decided to look further afield. My first cycle there was with the assistance of a UK intermediary who worked for serum. This helped with my confidence having treatment abroad and language barrier which after my first visit I realised was never going to be an issue. I then dealt directly with Penny and had a number of unsuccessful cycles, some unfortunately ending in ectopic pregnancies however I’d still got further with serum who had managed to succeed in getting me pregnant. Treatment was tweaked on every cycle, the care of all the team was amazing at all times. I traveled many times to Athens alone but never felt truly alone as the serum team become family. Serum gave me my beautiful daughter and I will be forever indebted to them. Penny is the most kind, caring and generous person I’ve met in my years of TTC. Money is the last reason she does this job. Seeing you achieve your dreams of a baby gives her soooo much joy. I have made incredible friends along the way from my time at serum. I’m sad my journey with them is over and miss the amazing team and my trips to Athens.

Penny and her team of experts at Serum are fantastic. Penny diagnosed an issue affecting my fertility at the very first appointment which had gone undiagnosed in the UK for many years. Without her advice and investigation I don’t believe I would have become a mum. Very shortly after this appointment we had successful IVF treatment and are now parents to twin boys. This team are doing amazing work. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

So happy with the service. I am over 40 that was struggling to have a baby. Serum went above and beyond and I now have a beautiful baby.

I have a 2 year old own egg own sperm son thanks to serum. I had repeated failure aged 34 in a uk clinic and was told it was my egg quality, they never attempted to change my protocol from the rigid formulaic approach they took.

We began our IVF journey following the tragic death of our only child, which was then followed by a series of miscarriages. Our first 2 rounds in the UK were a terrible experience. Our consultant gave us the vibe of a salesman, and being naive to the process we kept saying ‘yes’ to more extortionate add-ons, all of which proved to be useless. We encountered very little empathy for our difficult situation. In desperation to find a clinic that would give us a better experience, we turned to Serum after countless word-of-mouth recommendations. Our first consultation with Penny left me in tears of relief. We discussed our fertility history and got through all the medical information, and then she asked about our precious son. We talked at length and knew that she felt genuine empathy and compassion for our loss. What a difference! Through Penny’s determination and support to get us through more disappointments and challenges, we welcomed our wonderful daughter in 2018. We have nothing but gratitude for Penny and her team, and while we now feel that our family is complete, we wouldn’t hesitate to return should our feelings change.
