MADE IN CHINA AKA GARBAGE

bought an Interstate car battery and added a kill switch to rule out battery failure due to parasitic load. The battery died at minus 20. Another pooooor quality piece of made-in-China garbage

Interstate Batteries so bad even AAA has dumped them!

Interstate Batteries are garbage and even AAA has discontinued their use recently, at least in my area. New battery, 2.5 years goes bad. Thanks for warranty. Received new battery 12/2/25. Now 1/7/26 battery dead. Thank you AAA for installing a 3rd battery in 3 years, and no longer Interstate!

On my third battery

Replaced my original 2018 Nissan Murano battery with an Interstate MTX-35 (AGM glass matte $$$) (the updated model has a different number now) on 4/7/2022. That battery died in 7 months. Warranty was good so replaced it on 11/8/2022. Replacement battery would not hold a charge end of November 2025. Warranty was good BUT they said this would be the last replacement battery they would give me. Replacement (new model number MTX-47/H5) installed 12/4/25. If this battery dies early, my next battery won't be Interstate. BTW, I live in an area of fairly mild weather San Jose, California.

INTERSTATE BATTERIES ARE CRAP

INTERSTATE BATTERIES ARE CRAP. NEVER, EVER BUY ONE IF YOU WANT IT TO LAST MORE THAN EIGHT MONTHS. If I could give less than one star rating I would do that. We bought a marine battery for our boat on July 4, 2024. We put the boat away in September 2024 and brought the battery indoors as our mechanic recommended. We put the boat in the water in May 2025 after putting the battery on a trickler charger for a day. Within a month, the battery had failed. Dead. Nothing. I charged it. Thinking that I had left an accessory on. It was a brand new battery! It couldn’t fail! I thought. Two weeks later it failed again. I charged it again. Two weeks after that it failed again. I charged it again. And then just before we pulled the boat out of the water, in September 2025 it was dead again. So we charged it again and brought the boat to our boat Mechanic in late September for our annual fall maintenance. He told us the battery was dead. He told us the battery had a one year warranty, even though he insisted a year ago this was a great battery with a two year warranty and we should only buy from him. We paid $252.89 for a marine battery that died after eight months. Never again. Never ever buy a battery from Interstate Batteries – Canada, or US. You will regret it. As we do. I even called the company Interstate Batteries - Canada in mid October 2025 and explained the circumstances. 1-888-772-3600. Gee golly she says, you’re over the warranty period of 12 months, so go away. Nothing we can do. Not our problem. Good bye. Or words to that effect.

Complete joke of a company

Complete joke of a company. Called before coming down. Drove 45 minutes each way for the two batteries they said they had and I needed. When I got there they had neither. Absolutely ridiculous and will never return. Lost my Buisness before they even got it

We called to set up a Dealer account…

We called to set up a Dealer account with Interstate and we were told they don't want to step on the toes of the local Napa store. If we buy from Napa that's not as a dealer it's no different that anyone buying one off the shelf. So we went with another company and glad we did...Customer service is much better.

My Interstate Batteries Experience 2025

I purchased two Interstate batteries at the end of January 2025 for my Jeep Gladiator MTX-AUX 14, and MTZ 94RH7 for $650 dollars. I wanted a trusted name and reliability, with a good replacement warranty. I thought this is what I would be receiving based on how Interstate talks about their products. Not even 5 months go by and the battery's that I had just purchased from Interstate in the beginning of the year had died. I found this out after having my vehicle taken to a Jeep dealer that I trust. I was told by that dealer that my batteries were to blame and that they should be covered under Interstate's warranty. I reached out for a warranty replacement from the Interstate dealer that I purchased the batteries from in January and dropped the battery's off for inspection and a warranty claim. Sadly, since my vehicle is my daily driver, I can't just wait for a dealer and a warranty claim to get back on the road, so I had to purchase different batteries from an OEM dealer and had new batteries installed. Later I get notified from the Interstate dealer that I can pick up the replacement batteries under the warranty. I didn't want replacement batteries I wanted a refund on the batteries as they are defective and not reliable. Needless to say, take this review as a warning to look elsewhere from this brand. It appears they really want to sell you on False Promises of Reliability and Quality. However, they don't even stand by their own product, the Interstate dealer said I was even lucky that they replaced them as most of the time they just deny warranty claims. Keep in mind you will be out your vehicle for days while waiting after you drop off or send in your batteries on a claim outside of possibly Costco. Most interstate dealers have little to no stock on hand. You are better off buying the batteries from an OEM dealer or somewhere that will actually issue you a refund. This is a warning do not buy Interstate Batteries.

Scott and his team at the University Park, FL location went far above and beyond when my car had more than just a battery issue. They found a simple fix for something that would have cost hundreds to take it into the shop. Thank you so much for helping me out today!!

Everyone on this site is 100% accurate

Everyone on this site is 100% accurate. I purchased an Interstate battery for almost 300 dollars to have the "trusted" name and reliability, as well as the 3 year full replacement warranty. A year later the battery just died in my truck. Called the distributor (not a shop) that I purchased from and got the total run-around on an exchange.

Not looking for something for nothing- that's WHY I purchased what I did and spent the extra money. IN CASE. Not only was I treated like a fool (I've been building high performance cars for most of my adult life) but the refused to exchange the faulty battery. NEVER AGAIN. Take this as a word of warning folks- DO NOT trust the Interstate name anymore- it's clearly not the same company and they are trying to live off of that originally prestigious name...

I bought a FAYTX24HL for my 96 Harley…

I bought a FAYTX24HL for my 96 Harley this past April, now 12 -1/2 months later the battery and the bike came out of hibernation, and lasted 3 or 4 rides this year. then nothing, won't start the bike or take a charge. Brought it back to the Interstate dealer (real dealer not a shop) and was told I could get a core charge for it and nothing else. My John Deere lawn tractor has an Interstate in it as well, almost a year old. My 2016 Jeep still has its original battery, but none of them will ever see another Interstate battery!

Interstate SRM-24 RV Deep Cycle Battery…

Interstate SRM-24 RV Deep Cycle Battery failed at 14 months; just after the 12 month warranty expired. Was installed in a new RV with a solar charging system and when out of the RV last winter, on a trickle charger. Will never purchase another Interstate Battery of any type again. Same Group Series 24 battery at Sam's Club is $91 versus $159 for this junk Interstate battery. Same 12 month warranty but much less expensive with better reliability from previous experience.
