Cancelled bus left two 80’s without transport …
After booking a cruise from Southampton with bus included got an email saying that they had cancelled the bus has there weren’t enough people ! Left two 80 years to find their own very expensive way there has they don’t drive very poor service and if they had known wouldn’t have booked the cruise in the first place
Don't trust them to get you to Southampton
I booked a transfer to Southampton for the 23rd of March and they have cancelled. I understand that not enough people have booked but now Eavesway are fully booked. So don't bother with them. I wish I had never heard of Inter cruises . I have no idea if I will be going on my cruises and no refund yet
Booked this September 25 for cruise…
Booked this September 25 for cruise March 26 out of Southampton.Today everyone from all parts of country have had their bookings cancelled saying not enough people booked. On every route ?…. On the cruise we are going on there are enough people who were travelling to fill most coaches. Now we are all scrambling around to find transport. Disgusting company and will never use or recommend again
Nightmare journey to Rivington
The journey to Southampton went well. The driver was a very pleasant and helpful young man. I am disabled and asked for a seat near the front of the coach as I struggle to reach a seat further back. He was very obliging and made sure I was o.k. On the return journey the coach provided was Ellisons. The driver couldn’t care less. My sister and I were the last on the coach as I had to wait for a wheelchair from the ship.
I had to struggle down the coach to try to find a seat as he hadn’t reserved one at the front as requested. He sat and watched as other passengers helped me. When I was on board he sneered ‘do you need a hand?’ without offering one of course. It probably wasn’t his job to help but this man lacked common humanity. I hope never to get an Ellisons coach ever again.
Excellent experience
We have just returned from a 12 day holiday 2 -14 November and can’t fault them. Our coach at South Mymms was driven by a helpful driver who had to do a detour through narrow roads because of an accident on the motorway. They surpassed themselves on our return journey, because we were the only ones, they provided a taxi and again the driver dealt with our cases. The driving conditions were horrendous but we felt we were in safe hands and it was the quickest journey from Southampton we have ever had. Extremely happy with the service. Thank goodness we did not read all the bad reviews first, otherwise we would not have used them.
Don't Touch Cruise Connect from…
My experience of returning from Southampton in May
WE booked ( on the advice of Cunard ) with Intervruises working as Cruise Connect. I had advised them that I needed a lift to access the coach. The first driver Paul ( we had to ask his name) did not appear to be competent with using the lift mechanism, he was reluctant to use and tried to make me use the stairs but they were far too deep for me! The on-board toilet was also inaccessible and when we asked for a comfort break, after over 3 hours on the coach, it was seen as an imposition. I got safely off the coach and because I was embarrassed at having had to ask for the break I had nothing to eat or drink but used the toilets then came back immediately. I was happy to wait for Paul to finish his lunch and he tried to use the lift. He could not get it to work and spent over an hour trying to sort it including getting online help. I had to stand for nearly an hour waiting as the walk to the services was too much - my daughter eventually got a chair for me. Eventually we were told that an engineer was coming but it would take at least an hour and if that failed - a further hour for a new coach.
The engineer got the lift mechanism closed but it would not reopen, and I could not access the coach. Several tried to point out to Paul that the easiest way to resolve this was for him to take the rest of the passengers to Liverpool whilst I got a cab! He says that whoever he was speaking to had refused this solution.
We were then faced with a further wait for the new coach and then the transfer of the luggage !
I was unhappy at how the new driver dealt with the lift mechanism as it appeared to me that he had not taken it to level with the coach floor and I had a slope to negotiate! I was too scared to try to get off again until we reached our destination.
We stopped at Burtonwood - supposedly to drop off passengers. The driver had failed to communicate with us re his name , what was happening etc. After the passengers had left, we still did not move and we were told , by another passenger, that they thought someone had gone to use the toilets. The person who had gone to use the toilet has also found the on-board toilets inaccessible. We then discovered - again from other passengers, not from the driver, that either the driver was waiting for four further passengers to take to Liverpool ( we were at least 4 hours late there was no chance that they would come) or - second explanation , that the driver needed a 30 minute break. Whilst we all acknowledged the need for the driver's break under H&S regulations - why did he not tell us this was happening? For many of us this would have been an easier dropping off point if we had known of the wait!
We had advised people to pick us up in Liverpool as we were approaching Burtonwood - not realising that we would be there for nearly an hour.
We finally arrived in Liverpool close to 10 0'Clock. Probably about 7 hours later than we should have. We were not offered any vouchers for food and drink at the service station, we were stressed, as were the people meeting us, and to offer us 50% off a future trip is a joke! Maybe you thought that getting an offer in quickly would settle the problem. It will not.
The problem was caused by either a mechanism that had not been correctly tested and/or operators who were not experienced and competent in using the lift. This puts the problem firmly in your court. Even the second driver did not have the lift level with the coach floor, and I was terrified getting on and off . Also, despite the disability stickers all over the coach not only was the lift usage as I have explained but the toilet was inaccessible to many of the passengers!
To add to the problems ny 12 year old granddaughter - newly diagnosed as diabetic, had to wait for food and medication. We had never envisioned being on the coach for so long.
I was eventually offered £150 as compensation on condition that neither I nor my companions
publicised the complaint and/or settlement.I am unable to make that promise on behalf of my companions and I also think that prospective users should be warned about this company. I wish I had read reviews before booking with them
Outer Hebrides Tour Guide Excellence
Yesterday, 20SEP, Saturday, we were treated to a very enjoyable walking tour of Stornoway, Scotland by Janis Brand, WITGA. Our cruise booked the tour with Intercruises, but I think Janis is more immediately engaged with either WITGA, or “Outer Hebrides Tourist Information Stornoway” (OR, those two groups may even be one and the same organization, but with different names. Not sure.)
Inanycase, I just wanted to tell SOMEONE that Janis is a very good, knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide/booster for Stornoway.
My wife and I had gone into town that morning and explored on our own a little, but, to be frank, we were left a little unimpressed by the Stornoway we could find.
But later, during her tour, Janis was able to bring the history of Stornoway alive with stories of the Herring Girls, Alexander MacKenzie, that fellow who sailed with Shackleton TWICE, and of course, the execrable Mr. Matheson.
It was rainy and a little cold, and windy as well, but Janis made our day.
Would like to give Zero
Unfortunately couldn’t give zero. Intercruises cancelled return journey to Bolton due to low numbers of passengers. Then they cancelled my coach to Southampton stating that it was Cunards fault and I had to pay. My travel agent stated that Cunard notified Intercruises that I was entitled to complimentary coach journey to Southampton. Intercruises do not respond to queries nor do they email promised responses. I was given a promise that Trina Hatton would definitely email me on 11 September 2025. I am still waiting!!!! Totally Untrustworthy also my request for GDPR information has also been ignored.
Always been first class for us
We have travelled with Intercruises from Bolton to Southampton on many occasions without a hitch. Pre-cruise communication via email has been excellent and standard and timing of travel spot on. On our last trip on Friday 29/8/25 the driver Thom was first class. A professional safe driver whose road craft and standard was the best ever, meaning our arrival time was as promised. Can only speak from experience 10/10.
Beware
Informed at Keele services pick up that I wasn't on the list by a rude and dismissive driver who drove off and left me standing. Telephoned out of hours emergency number who confirmed I was on the list and hastily arranged an alternative coach to collect me.
Shocking start to the cruise
We have travelled several times to/…
We have travelled several times to/ from Southampton without a problem .but I am now trying to contact them for booking by phone,I have tried for 3 weeks holding on for long periods with no luck, even sent email but no response.this is very poor and I am not sure what to do now .
Poor driver
On a whole intercruise are brilliant, but on our way to Southampton on Saturday 26th July, our 2nd driver was terrible, braking very harsh and last minute, missed a pick up point at Wolverhampton, missed a turn off adding approximately 1hr 30mnins to our journey, I as a bus driver myself offered to drive the rest of the way to the port but was declined, was made worse when I spoke to other passengers to find out that the driver was falling asleep at the wheel which explained the harsh braking
On leaving the P&O iona cruise ship…
On leaving the P&O iona cruise ship this morning 2nd August in Southampton we expected to be on the same company coach going home, ellisons executive travel back to Liverpool who are the official inter cruises company coach operator. Unbelievable we were put on a Davison vip coach, if you can call it a coach. Converted double decker bus with seating upstairs only. It is a privately owned firm that clearly just helps out in emergencies, I can only assume our ellisons coach broke down but we were told nothing. We paid a fortune for comfort and this is not what we received. Nothing less than poor, unprofessional and bad. This coach in my opinion has recently be in an RTA. Bent luggage door on drivers side. Massive hole in the windscreen. The whole bus bent to one side. Recently had side glass window repaired. Glass on the floor upstairs. Broken seat belt and others I have pictures to provide. I want this to be a formal written complaint if anyone can assist? Basically, Massive dampener on an trip on the iona to be treated like cattle back to the grim north so it seems.
Booked to go to Southampton cruise port…
Booked to go to Southampton cruise port , paid the fees , they then cancelled booking and said not enough people to pick up . Ok I understand that but when it takes 3/4 weeks to get refund is disgusting.

Excellent service
We used intercruise on 12 July and 19th July. The information received before the cruise was accurate on pick up / drop off times from/ to Trowell services and Southhampton Terminal. The bus driver's were both friendly, helpful, and polite, both buses were very clean, toilet facilities were too. Air conditioning was welcome and worked a treat. Two years ago we used intercruises also and have to say every experience we've had with this company has been excellent. And any future cruises we may have would use Intercruises everytime. Thank you
We requested pick up from Trowell…
We requested pick up from Trowell services they said they overbooked on the bus and we got to go to Leeds to pick up the bus. They said it not there fault they overbook and it's our fault. They put the phone down on us and the travel agent when we complained.
Return Journey From Southampton with Intercruises…
We have just returned from a cruise on the Iona, we had booked the Intercruise transfer both ways. After reading some of the reviews I was extremely worried but had no need to be, the pick up at Trowell was on time the Driver was helpful and professional and on the return journey the Driver Will was excellent. Information and instructions were clear and concise, the only issue we had lies firmly at the door of the passengers who kept everyone else waiting on the coach to return home (your paperwork said 9am departure time) the lady got on the coach when you arrived at the Iona and told everyone quite clearly to disembark collect your luggage or bring your own and get on the coach to return home. The confusion arose when P and O put on the departure letter to head to the Headliners theatre at 9am on the day of departure, this clearly conflicted with the coach time so why did people not question this with reception like we did !! apparently Intercruises have told P and O about this before but there is obviously a breakdown in communication. People need to use their common sense more, listen and ask if they are unsure instead of just heading along to a meeting point that's at the same time as your departure time, really !! Intercruises well done for your patience with this issue, nothing was your fault, I would happily travel with you again.
Never leaves on time
Never leaves on time, squashed in like sardines, no air con as you wait sn hour to depart. No cleaners apparently, in fact it feels more like a stranger doing us all a favour, than a service we have paid for.just one of the many reasons we will never cruise with P&O again, or use this shambolic joke of a connection 'service'.
No Reply to Request
Sent an online request re transport for a future P&O cruise. 2 weeks later still waiting for a reply. Shocking customer service. If this is P&O’s chosen partner, I suggest they use their influence to improve.
Bad attitude
Driver on the way home had a bad attitude, note to Intercruise coach drivers: if you don't like your job find something else, lifes too short!
