Kit arrived on time with 10 live caterpillars. 1 died quickly.
One pot of 4 have chrysalised beautifully but the other pot has grown mould. I will update how many hatch. I've contacted insect lore and they aren't the fastest at replying but were helpful. The kit itself is a beautiful kit tho and a good gift.
A little deceptive. We ordered the turn key kit. Caterpillars/butterflies were free/included in the purchase. Turns out they are not free, because what they don’t tell you, is you have to pay $11 with tax to have your “free” caterpillars delivery.
That should be made clear, or just charge more and include shipping, but calling them free is deceptive. What are we going to do after spending $27 on the kit, not ship - deceptive!
Has been almost 2 weeks since I ordered and was supposed to be here now 8 days ago after it said it would be there on monday last week. Had a voucher for "free caterpillars" and had to pay anyways because you can't use the voucher without a fee? Ridiculous.
I will NEVER use this company again. Our school had carefully planned our caterpillar-butterfly study so that butterflies would emerge the last week of school. I redeemed vouchers, to no avail, 11 days ago, and then again yesterday when no caterpillars had yet arrived. Now, even if the company sends them, the whole point of our study is mute. We will be out of school before any butterflies emerge.
PLUS, Insect Lore claims vouchers get free caterpillars, and you only have to pay for shipping and handling. NOT TRUE! DON’T BE FOOLED. They told me I ordered kits with vouchers unpaid for, while I should have ordered a kit with paid for caterpillars. Deceptive through and through.
The worst thing is that the children are not going to witness the transformation we teachers have promised. My teachers have voted to stop the order, even though their classrooms have empty butterfly kits.
I ordered stick insects for my grand daughter, but after a week they still hadn’t arrived.
I emailed the company and was told another parcel was now ordered for me. Shortly afterwards it DID arrive (blame COVID-19) so I quickly emailed again and was able to cancel the second delivery. I wasn’t asked for money, and I was pleased with their prompt action. Have every confidence in using them again.
