I opened a spaardeposito by mistake, I have been trying to close it for over a month and every time I'm told they sent the request and it will take five days. Spoiler: it doesn't.
I can't talk to a manager or anyone that can do anything about it, apart from sending the request. They have my money blocked and they are not giving it back. Horrible service, horrible bank. As soon as I get them back I will change bank

- DO NOT TRUST IT ONLINE! If there is a questionable transaction (no matter from creditcard or debitcard), you will most likely never see that money again! Even though, you provide more that sufficient proofs that the online shop misused you creditcard or debitcard, ING does not care! For online shopping (or even for normal daily accounts), try other banks and keep your money in a safe place!
I just get out from the bank in Rotterdam, that was already 2 appointment about the same problem and nobody care there about nothing! They block my bank account and nobody can’t help about it … not by the phone and not in the bank After 15 min lady said times up bye bye… the worst bank ever they just lost client
Terrible banking system. You will never have any flexibility. Even I have my mortgage there and paid 60k they don't give me more than 50 euros limit credit card, rejected my requests for loan etc. Go to any other bank but this. I also needed money and I asked them to cancel my extra payment I paid for my mortgage but they told me they can not cancel the transaction. Both accounts are in ING. They are ridiculous. I need money a lot and they put me in a really bad position.
This bank suddenly decided after banking with them for 40 years, after having moved to the UAE since 12 years, that they want to know how much money I own, all my assets etc, in an attempt to stop money laundering and criminal activity, which they are indirectly accusing me of.
Even though this already really pissed me off as it is a severe invasion of my privacy I answered their questionnaires only to find new questions. If I send an email to clarify or ask questions, there is no response. They choose to 'misunderstand' information. I am suddenly a 'risk' to them, because I told them that there is no income tax in the UAE and now they think I am not paying my taxes. So I am getting threats that they will close my account and make sure I can't have another account in the country. LIKE SERIOUSLY!!! I have never done anything criminal in my life and I deserve so much better. Ow, and their ' chat' function? They just leave the chat or tell you to call them from abroad. Be wiser than me and bank somewhere else.
The worse bank ever ,,,,they dont give us business account 2 monts and the company is already open one month and i can not pay my employs and also my partners can not pay me ,,,,they dont apologise they dont let me know only answer is "takes time " but is the most expensive bank for the good services "funny"
The worst bank customer's service all over the Europe. From 11th of December’23 applied for business account process time 1-3 weeks)and stil nothing after 2 months. Many many phone calls and mails but only lies. STAY AWAY FROM THE ING BANK.
The bank that requires you to pay for nothing, their basic package that offers nothing of actual practical use case that you are required to pay as long as you have an account. During the time I was using it I got switched over to a paid plan without any sort of warning and from that point on I was required to pay 2 or 3 euros as a bare-bones minimal plan. So over the couple years or so that I was using their services somewhere in the middle I just started losing money thanks to ING I would prefer to have gotten robbed.
You can't fully activate your account and debit cards online, regardless, the bank sends you all activation information via post. To be able to use your bank you need to visit one of the ING service points which mostly have negative reviews on Google Maps, are not organized and ING workers there are not interested in helping you solve your questions. Apart from the inconvenient account activation process, I needed to visit the service point twice, because, for the first time, my account wasn't activated correctly.
Incompetent and clueless Customer Service via chat.
Tried to cancel my account but couldn't because of an issue in their portal, spent more than 1 day (infinite loops of useless chat bots, phone choice menus) before I was able to get in contact with an actual person.
The reason why I cancelled was the (at one point even weekly) outages. Their app and payment service were too unreliable.

Called ING insurance regarding a particular point on my policy, from start to finish a super smooth and friendly service. Got more advice than i could have wished for, a sort of 'holistic approach 'covered everything and more!.An English man abroad always needs help, so double the Thanks!!

It's been hours now I'm trying to chat with anyone that could help me, instead, they write their first message, asking me to take some time to reread the old messages and leave the chat.
I have had so many issues with this bank and their services and products, wondering how are you still standing as a bank.

IT IS RIDICULOUS AND ABSOLUTELY INSANITY that I am NOT ABLE to log in to my bank account WITHOUT AN APP!!!! The app is not working because there keeps getting an error in the screen. Also I cant log in on internet because you HAVE to log in on the APP. How dumb 🤯🤯🤯
Most unhelpful bank I ever experienced. Only had problems with them. Cancelling my account today, but even for that they hold me 15 minutes in the line. They made me so angry, so many times, I need to express this here.
Catastrophe, both quality of "service" and actual awareness of employees what are their own procedures in Luxembourg. I didn't receive my debit card despite sending secure messages twice via internet banking, exactly the way I was instructed during the call with the advisor. After this, they still don't know where the card is, they "try to understand what happened" (!), and the best part - they refuse to take a formal complaint on that. So you have no way to escalate the matter, only expect they will understand one day why they don't process customer's query and maybe come back to you. They hang up on the phone when you challenge the facts. Never in my life have I experienced so pathetic service level.
I had ask for a new code waited so many days to open my app this ING bank is the worse. It still did not work this is the worst bank you can ever find!!
After having to wait for 35 minutes to get my called answered, the customer service lady was unprofessionally pushing to end the call because she has no time for me !
Also she promised extra information to be sent to my email that was never received.
