Prior to June 2021, I had this app installed on my phone for years. I couldn't watch videos, listen to music or audiobooks or follow links from emails, FB etc without getting messages telling me that... See more

Absolutely awful. Took data from me for free for several months with no incentives with their mediacell app whilst they ‘tried’ to sort out the issue why it wouldn’t install on my laptop and pc. Gladl... See more

Atrocious app. It doesn't work and as a result they harass you by phone, email, and text and threaten to remove you from their precious panel for not supplying them with enough data despite the issue... See more

I was with this company for a few…

I was with this company for a few months and like a lot of other people here, I understood it was just for my iPhone but it turned out that they wanted the app on my laptop as well. I found that the app drained my iPhone. I was out for the evening on one occasion and had charged my iPhone before leaving home. I found half-way through the evening that my iPhone was flat and the phone felt really warm. I ended up travelling home late in the evening without the comfort of having a working iPhone. After a few months, they sent out an updated app which caused me so many problems. My iPhone could not connect to the internet for a few weeks and this started a few hours after installing the updated app. I left the panel and uninstalled the app and was able to connect to the internet again. I ended up with major problems with my computer after installing the app on the laptop. Not worth the rewards which they are paying.

I too lost the sounds which tell you that an email or text has been received but got the sounds back after I uninstalled the app.

Further to my last post I forgot to…

Further to my last post I forgot to mention that the app appears to disable communication between the Apple Watch and the iPhone. Before installing the app I would get an alert on my watch when someone was phoning me of when I got a text, After installing the app this stopped altogether. In addition the battery on my watch needed charging more frequently. Also I installed the app on my iPad and BBC iPlayer stopped working. I'm thankful that I didn't install it on any of my computers because god alone knows what havoc it would have wreaked. Since uninstalling the app and the VPN my phone will last a whole day without needing charging. Oh yes and I haven't had a blind farthing from Ipsos Mori. Thanks for nothing Arschl*****n.

Don't do it!

This sounds like a good way to earn a small bit of extra money without having to do much.

That is until you realise just how much information they're after and how buggy their Mediacell+ application for Android is.

I stuck with it for a few months, reporting bugs as they arose but kept getting emails back telling me that the things I was reporting weren't bugs.

The bugs still outstanding as of 20 May 2018 are:

- Horrendous battery drain on the phone (having to recharge up to 3 times a day despite not actually using the phone). There suggestion to fix this was for me to turn down the brightness of my phone!
- Randomly switching off any alarms you had set
- Loss of sound to tell you that an SMS has been received
- A notification that it couldn't access the microphone whenever you played any music which could only be removed by restarting the phone despite having switched the data send back on when you had finished playing the music.

Turns out they changed my ip address…

Turns out they changed my ip address without me knowing. So everything went through their ip address in London. I lost any access to any tesco site. I lost money as I could not use tesco where I had a delivery saver. Feel a bit of an idiot as went through tesco, mobile network provider and no answer to why I lost any access to tesco. I blamed tesco! Luckily a friend who is in IT checked my phone and discovered it was the incompass app that was causing the problem. Got rid of incompass app and everything working OK. Ended up costing me more than the £30 amazon vouchers I received in telephone calls trying to sort out and lost delivery saver! Don't be fooled they don't tell you the full story! Feeling very stupid now!

Weekly diary

I signed up to a weekly diary which I have to fill in every day for a week once a month. A week or two later I receive a £5 voucher for amazon. I’ve received £20 worth so far. I was offered the chance to use the app but I didn’t feel comfortable downloading it as it seems too intrusive for my liking. I have no issues with the diary and is an easy way to get these vouchers as each day only takes a few minutes to input

scammers avoid

I got myself onto this panel and downloaded there software,i was on it for
the last 7 weeks and they took my data and i did not receive the amazon voucher that was promised, i sent them an e-mail asking when my voucher would be sent out, and they said that i was not carrying my phone enough so i was not entitled to the voucher,i used quite a lot of my data allowance to send this data to them, they are scam artists, I will also be notifying the relevant authorities about this company

Scam

Scam. Spent 5 weeks running it with full reception and WiFi. Mysteriously on the last few days before being elgiable for the £20 voucher I was spammed with messages claiming insufficient data.
Cost me money to run the app and got nothing back. I would stay away not even a one star review from me.

Misleading panel, to say the least.

I joined their programme (through a 3rd party) & downloaded their tracking app for smartphone.
Their welcome email clearly repeated that it was a smartphone study.
However, in their enrolment survey they asked about other devices, which unfortunately I told them about.

Since, slowly, during and after a month, they started to harass me telling me that I also had to install their app in my other devices.
Told them that it was not part of the deal, their terms say that you can add more devices but at not point in their information they said that you had to also use their app in tablets and laptops to become a member.

So, I uninstalled their app when they even tried to 'blackmail' me saying that I will not longer receive their monthly reward!

Months later through another third party, I decided to open a new account with them (of course, I should have not) BUT I TOLD THEM I only had a smartphone, and I was accepted!!
WHICH means that all their emails telling me that -using their app in my other devices was part of the deal- was just A LIE!

However, I did notice that in their welcome email there is a sneaky line and I quote "if you told us about other devices you use (e.g. a tablet, laptop, etc.), in the next few days we will send you another email.. instructions on how to download another app".

How misleading are these people!
Since they realised I already had another account, I was told my new account was closed, so I could not collect more evidence of their inappropriate behaviour.
They are NOT disclosing full details about the requirement for their study to these third parties, but worse, their first screen (I have screenshots) clearly only tells you a smartphone study!! Why wanting more devices then??

I wonder if they should be reported to the Market Research Society for misleading panellists, because once you're in you may feel to stick with it as you receive their monthly reward, which I don't think increases when adding devices.
Anyway, this is not an open and honest way to recruit members.
