I had a boiler installed in March 2020 just before covid lockdown. I was left for 2 days with no hot water / heating as the installation engineer fried the circuit board on install and we had to wait for a part. It was also installed on a make shift bracket from part of my old boiler as they had not delivered the correct brackets (should have been identified during inspection/quote). Vaillant had to come and install the replacement part. They carried out a full check as the first installer had appeared to have done such a botch job (including gouging a bit of plaster off the wall as he couldn't be bothered running new cabling behind the new board). To top it off, I never received the certification as required and quoted. I purchased through ImpraGas primarily for the 10 year warranty (8 years in excess of product warranty) but this is now null and void as the company has vanished.
FYI - My credit card provider has declined my credit card dispute as the warranty and certs were not on the final invoice and they have deemed they therefore have no monetary value. Note these were included on the initial quote which states it is contractually binding so I would suggest submitting this instead/as well as invoice. It has been referred to Section 75 department.
I submitted this info to BBC watchdog but no reply.
I contacted Vaillant directly who confirmed the product is registered so I at least have a 2 year product warranty.
I was advised I can get a gas safe engineer to re-certify as part of annual inspection so that the boiler is at least certified as compliant.
Hope this helps someone!
Paid £3000 for a new boiler with Impragas, have recently been informed it has been fitted incorrectly 18 months later. Not only this we had zero aftercare at the time, wasn’t even told to register it or that I needed a yearly service, I had no idea as had never purchased a boiler before. Would not recommend.
Fitted my nest smoke alarm too high too for the carbon monoxide detector, my ceiling is 14ft high. I’m very disappointed.
Like a lot of other people on here I was also sold the ten year maintenance contract when I purchased a Vaillant Boiler from ImpraGas. I understand that Mr Valente sold ImpraGas to Andy Scott at REL Capital who are an Investment company based in Jersey and Peterborough, I have tried contacting REL Capital by phone and email, the phone number on their website appears bogus as it comes up as an Invalid Number and the email I have sent seems to have fallen on deaf ears. This company and also ImpraGas are now looking very dodgy. Now to top it all Mr Valente has now set up a new company called Trade Mastermind which if you read the piece in the Peterborough Telegraph paper it gives the impression that Mr Valente is a business man who has made money from the sale of ImpraGas but his customers and creditors will not get any. If anyone would like to provide details of their experiences of ImpraGas to maybe BBC Watchdog I am sure you would find a lot of people willing to join you.
I had my Worcester Bosch gas fired condensing boiler installed by ImpraGas on 10 March 2020. It included the 10 year warranty and free service included for 10 years. Before I decided to give ImpraGas the job I had taken more than 4 quotations for the same job from other companies.
Theor price was not excessively cheap or expensive against the others.
The engineer who installed and commissioned the boiler did a good job and in fact gas been helpful when I spoke to him today when I found the company is insolvent and is being handled by Heron Fisher the appointed Insolvency company.
My issue is that I have to date NOT received the 2 Certificates after the installation is confirmed by the installing company i.e. registered with Gas Safe Register and the Building Controls Register who provide the respective Certificates. 2 weeks after installation in March I called the engineer stating I hadn't received these certificates. He informed me he had informed the office and they are responsible to inform the Gas Safe Register and Building Control. Then as I hadn't received them.in April I chased up and again and was informed that it was with the office to be actioned.
With the lock down and other things taking precedent it slipped my mind until this week that this was still pending. I emailed the Gas Safety Register and that's when I was informed the company no longer on theeir register and it's closed shop. I gave followed up with my complain to Heron Fisher today and they have informed me that they are in touch with the Directors of the company and keep me informed.
Here are my questions;
1. Without these certifictes who is liable to cover the warranty and any breakdown now that the company is insolvent.
2. The free 10 years service that was paid for.
In my investigations I have found that the Gas Safety Register and it's system is an absolute can of worms too. I found out that an engineer can have multiple Registered numbers..ie. the number given IS NOT UNIQUE TO THE PERSON. An individual engineer has a number on the register that is connected to the company they work for. So my engineer has Gas Safety registered number with ImpraGas and another with I presume is with a another company he maybe working for. So the Gas Safety number in the register with ImpraGas when he installed my boiler is now redundant therefore the Gas Safety Register CANNOT be instructed by him to register my installation onto the register because ImpraGas is not trading. What a load of rubbish this Gas Safety Registration system is. No wonder one is guaranteed to have more Grenfell disasters and people like me caught up in what I can say is a pile of unprofessional people from top to bottom.
I have looked into this and have contacted the finance company because I wanted to halt payments until my servicing offer had been sorted. Like many people on here, I had taken up the offer of the 10 year servicing. Unfortunately because my paperwork states that this was given free by Impragas, I could not refuse the payments. A free service is not paid for in their eyes. And I guess I can understand that to some extent. I now have a 10 year repayment on a boiler that I have to get serviced myself! Surely if this was offered as a service it should still be refunded if paid for or not.?
Have you had a bad service with Impragas?

Had boiler fired 12 months ago with 10 year warrenty from Worcester Bosch and 10years free service from Impra gas. Now gone out of business. Changed name to VBH Assets no way to contact them what a load of sharks they are. The men on Impras customer service team were useless did not know how to talk to customers and cauld be very rude and ofensive they certain ly did not know about the boilers they were selling one they had your money they did not want to know if you had a problem. Good ridence to a very bad lot. RDG
Some loud mouthed suit off the TV sets up a firm offering boilers significantly cheaper than any other company around, with 10 years free servicing included as well. I'm sure it was all above board...
Fools and their money are easily parted!
Didn't your mum & dad tell you if something is too good to be true it probably is?
Zero chance of any service or warranty help from whoever currently owns the 'brand' and or its assets. Their website is down and Google lists it as 'permanently closed'. Sorry folks I have no sympathy for you.
I am very disappointed with company's service and how they deal with customers and their issues. Its nearly year we have boiler installed by impra gas company and my problem still hasn't been solved and seems like people just ignoring you. My last complain was in May, when one of managing agents called me and apologised for it and he promised hes gonna sort everything out once they can go back to works. He asked me to remove complain but since then I didn't received anything. Nobody came to my house to sort an issue. Heating season its so close and I am so scared I am gonna have to pay such high bills for gas like I did last time coz radiators isnt heating proper, airlock is every week in them and it is not normal because boiler is brand new. The problem is that installation wasn't done proper. System hasn't been flushed, one old tank still sitting at my loft too. I just noticed that last week once me and my husband went on there to check things. I am really planning to call gas inspector and see weather jobs been done properly coz paying such money and getting no service is not acceptable.
Dismayed by lack of honouring service plans
Impra Gas installed Vaillant Combi boiler in April 2019. I had 10 year service plan included. E mailed them twice to organise annual service and received standard reply saying office was closed (due to virus I presumed). Fed up with this situation having seen all the other reviews as well. They do not even deserve one star.
This company uses paid-for Trustpilot reviews (which I have studied, cross-referenced and sent to both Trustpilot and trading standards for deceptive practices) and they have changed their name several times to try and shake off all the promises they made of 10-years free warranties. They have cheated their suppliers out of proper payment and their own staff out of jobs during a global pandemic. An absolute disgrace of a company that shouldn't ever be allowed to trade again.
We are also at the similar situation. Are there any laws to protect or compensate customers like us?
It seems from reading the recent reviews that we are also in the same situation. Paid extra for yearly service and now know where to be seen or heard!!
What can we do about this? Any advice or direction to go in?
I read that this is an Alan sugar enterprise through the apprentice? Shame on you!!!
10 years annual service not provided.
Is anyone start a collective claim against them. Each of us lost 1000 pounds. (£100x10 years)
Please let me/ us know so I/ we can join to collective claim case... and we get a money back.
We had a Valliant boiler fitted last June 2019 like all on here when it came to our1st year service
we got nowhere then found they'd gone bust. So had to have our service done by Valliant as our plumber registered our guarantee with them...hope this helps.
I am very annoyed to find that Impragas do not exist and that my 10 year free servicing has disappeared. Please, if anybody knows how to contact them or how to get compensated then post on here.
I have bought because of the 10 year service. If anyone knows what I can do please let me know ?
Very disappointed to read here that the company no longer exists as I have tried to contact them to arrange our first service. We had several similar quotes and what swung it, for us, was the offer of 10 years free service included in the price. We now feel conned by this company & although the installation seemed competent it will be interesting what an independent engineer will say when they do the service now.
I have paid a deposit for a boiler back in March.
I have had nothing from these what so ever. I have rang no reply. Email no reply. Now the credit card company are dealing with it.
This company is a waste of Time
They installed the boiler 11months ago, they caused damage whilst installing, we had two subsequent leaks, the flue is installed dangerously and they just keep telling us they are dealing with it, They are the biggest pile of s**t to deal with and I would advise people to stay well clear!!
