Ripped off, stay away

Absolutely gutted. What a terrible company - I assume this company has been closed down now which is why I can't get through via phone or email?

I also have been duped by Ikon M, being told there was a 14wk delivery time meant they had my money and Pay pal would no longer stand over the transaction as it was too late! Maybe we could all sign something and go with one voice? Also I notice when you type in Ikon M into search, a company called [external reference] comes up? Hopefully not Ikon M under a new name?

We ordered some furniture which was sad to be custom made for us, never got the pieces and money is gone !

It's not word for this. No communication possible. Someone who can help?

Thanks to this site I discovered that I was not going to receive my £750 sofa so phoned my bank immediately. I paid on a Visa debit card and the bank said they could get the money back through something called 'Chargeback'. Be quick as there is a time limit!

I ordered 3 dsw chairs in May 2014. In June I contacted Ikon M by email, and they answered very autimatically, that their delivering time is up to 14 weeks, which has now already passed. I tried to contact them again, but no answer, no website found.. Luckily I found this website, I'm not alone.. What should we do? I live in Finland so proceeding and getting my money back seems difficult or even impossible, any suggestions...? Have any of you called the police? We should get our money back!

I have lost £6500 to Ikon M - All I ever received was a Charles Eames brid! Classic phrase - if it seems too good it probably is! Problem is even when I thought it was too good I referred to Trust Pilot. The negative feedback at that time indicated that the products were marginal to OK quality, sometimes damaged and delivered very late. However I was in a situation that a 5 month delivery was no problem. So I proceeded.

following my review I've contacted some minutes ago New Scotland Yard in London. They suggested me to go to the local police in my country and to report tehm the scam with Ikon M.
The local police will send then a report to New Scotland Yard and they will investigate.
I suggest you all to do this.

IKON M = SCAM + FRAUD + TRUFFA

Dear all,
last March 17, 2014 we have bought some lamps for around £ 1.000 at Ikon M. The lamps should be dispatched within the end of March 2014 because they should be installed at a very big italian event starting at the beginning of April 2014. Nothing arrived so I've called several times Pauline at Ikon M. She promised to send the lamps within few days. 4 lamps arrived by the end of april 2014 and we could not use them anymore because the event was already finished. We asked the money back and some information about the missing lamps (value £ 350). After several email we receveid on June 9, 2014 an email informing us "...We have had an error in our system saying we have it our stock, when we actually haven't ". The email was written by Martina. We have tried to call them several times and we wrote many many emails. No feedback. My daughter is in London and went today at their address: 17-18 Hayward place 2nd floor EC1R 0EQ London, UK. She took pictures of the building and of the name plates. NO Ikon M was found. We could try with a class action and I'll call today or tomorrow the police in London in order to know how we can proceed. Very bad situation for all us! We should keep all in touch and see what we can concrete do. Emanuela

Should have known better but was recommended by friends who highly rated their products, largely, in now suspect, because they were so cheap. My first light duly arrived and was fine. Subsequently ordered another and was told it had been dispatched. Needless to say there is no light and no website. They have disappeared, along with their customer services - if that ever existed. They have either been sued by the companies that hold the patents for these designs, or they are lying low. Either way they are completely untrustworthy and if they pop up again, to be avoided at all costs.

Order Purchased in Full on January 16th 2014, but still have not received my goods! My pursuing through my high street bank is to no avail as the period from purchase is over the 120 days from purchase, therefore the lack of transparency from this company has now actioned me into talking to CAB, Financial Ombdnesmum, Furniture Ombdnesmun, I will not rest until my monies have been redeemed! if enough people power unite something has got to give their end.

We are in the same boat as others. Paid £375 for Eames chair in february and nothing yet. What shall we do? I am happy to go with a collective lawyer idea.

Placed 2 orders in Fébruary and March.Received just part of them. Account debited. Received confirmation that some of them were about to be delivered in June and since then, no news. No answer to emails, no contact on the phone. How can we press charges ?Any luck with your cc company ?

I bought a 3 piece suite in April for over £1000 and was told it would take 14 weeks as everything is made to order. Today I tried to contact them regarding delivery which should have been the end of this month. Tried ringing and got an automated message, no answer to my email, Facebook page gone and now website has gone. I have now found out they have gone bust so I guess it's going to be a long process trying to get my money back.

I’m in the same boat as others here - I ordered an Artichoke light at the beginning of May and they said it would take up to 8 weeks - because I clearly didn't learn my lesson I also ordered a Copenhagen Desk a couple of weeks later - the latter was "in stock" and would be with me within days. Nothing happened!! Then I got a mail after two weeks saying “good news” your desk will be with you in another two weeks. I mailed back saying what was “good news” about a month for something that was meant to take a week and whilst I was here what about my light. The reply said they were very busy and the desk would be with me any day – the light had left China and would be here within two weeks! That was the last I heard any attempt to chase them up has ended in a dead end. I rang Visa last week and told them the website had gone and I had no replies to my e-mails so could they investigate both transactions to see if I’ve been conned! That is the obvious action you can take – contact your Credit Card Company and ask them to investigate the transactions!! It’s an old adage but “if it seems too good to be true – that’s because is it too good to be true”!! I should have known better!!

As many of us, looks like I got scammed by IkonM. Bought 4 Eames-generic chairs (around 350 euros, total purchase), theoretically in stock. There is something that we can do, its not possible just to wait with crossed arms. Should we all gather and try to find a lawyer and file a collective claim against IkonM? Please contact me.

Similar to other people who have been a victim of this fraudsters. It has been about 7 months and I have receievd my order. Gave them numerous calls everytime promising that the delivery will take place asap. Wanted back my money a couple of times but they referred to their ridiculous contract which gives no right to the customer (which now I understand why). Anyway, given the trend I see, I am pretty sure that these guys took our money and escaped. However, I have got the contact information of some of these Nordic clowns (i.e. employees). I was wondering if anyone is intereted to take legal actions against their employees. I myself will file against three of their employees in the next couple of days. Honestly, these people should be sent to jail to rot.

Have not received anything after paid for the goods month ago, even cannot reach the website and any custom service. Just arise a claim to paypal for refund.

I too have been trying to contact Ikon M for the last month after having received notification that all the products ordered back in JANUARY had finally arrived in UK , the positive ' Ship Ahoy ' email from Ikon M was received with much relief . I have had e-mail correspondence , (no one ever to answer the phone for past 7 weeks ?! ) to notify me that I have a ticket ID number and will be contacted shortly with delivery date/ time .
I have received One item , which was damaged and still wait for a MIRACLE delivery of the remaining 2 items !!
IKON M clearly gone BUST ….. and have continued to trade dishonestly for months !!!
It will ONLY be a MIRACLE now if IKON M customers receive any due compensation or ordered/ paid for products !!!
