I have been a Vitacost customer for a number of years and recently learned iherb had acquired them when I signed on to my Vitacost account. The Vitacost homepage promised a 30% promo code on first order with iherb, and a transfer of account history if you use the same email address. I did that. The account history transferred, and after spending a good amount of time shopping I placed a large order, but the promo code did not work. I tried using the chat bot but that was no help (it offered 15% or 10% off promos instead), and a human can't be reached. If they are not going to offer the 30% off first order, then they should take down the large banner on the Vitacost homepage, This is a simple bait-and-switch. Consumer fraud is running rampant and after reading reviews here, these folks do not deserve my business. I am switching everything to Swanson, a very well-run ethical company I have ordered from in the past. Good prices and frequent promos the they actually HONOR.

Very disappointed with my iHerb experience. I ordered from what appeared to be a French/EU website while living in Europe, paid €11 shipping, and was never clearly informed the products would actually ship from the US.
I then received an unexpected €20.40 FedEx customs charge — only €6 was actual VAT, while €14.40 was simply FedEx “paperwork” fees. Had this been clearly disclosed before checkout, I would have purchased elsewhere within the EU.
This lack of transparency for European customers is unacceptable.

I ordered a supplement from one manufacturer and received a product from a different one. They have a disclaimer on the site that images can differ but it’s one thing when label is outdated, and another if you sell a completely different product. Even the ingredients are not 100% the same. Anywho, very disappointed with this type of business. This is not some silly product it’s something that we take for health and I will definitely say ok to a Temu looking label on a product.

I used to think iHerb was great based on customer service and shipping speed.
If iHerb still has any commitment to customer service, I don't see it. I think they don't care about customers at all.
First they cut their phone support and told customers to rely on live chat. Now it appears that they've done away with live chat so, in my experience, it is 100% AI chat and email. I've tried doing a live chat yesterday and today and the AI gives me a vague message that live support is not available but they'll get back to me in 1-2 days.
Their shipping efficiency has similarly evaporated. My past two orders have been significantly delayed. I placed an order 3 days ago for which it looks like they've generated a label but have not yet given to the shipping company. The iHerb website says I will receive it today - but it hasn't even shipped. And, of course, when I try to reach iHerb to inquire I can't get a response from a human being.
iHerb won't even let me cancel! Apparently because they've generated a label they consider it too late to cancel, even though the shipper doesn't even have the package. So I'm stuck in limbo - I have no idea if/when they'll actually ship my supplements, I can't reach anyone there to find out, and I don't want to buy somewhere else and get stuck paying twice. I needed what I ordered and now don't have it.
I trusted iHerb and gave them a lot of business, but I no longer see any commitment to customer service.
