Warning to models: Avoid Ice Models Istanbul.
This agency, owned by Sedar and Carolina (both former models themselves), should know better. Instead of improving conditions, they continue the same exploitative system for their own gain.
Yes, an agency deserves to earn — that’s fair when costs are transparent and shared. But Ice Models Istanbul inflates apartment fees (we had 7 people in one flat in Şişli, all paying the same high price, adding up to 4–5× the real rent) and charges taxi expenses 7 days a week, even with only 1–2 castings and no weekend work. On top of that, models receive ridiculously low pocket money — about 500 Turkish lira (around €10), which barely covers two small meals and is supposed to last you a week. Almost no one ever goes home with money.
Apartments are overcrowded with no air conditioning, one fan for 7 people, and every simple request is treated as “too much.” Bookers give no support, no introductions, and only short answers. The owner claims he “doesn’t care about money,” yet everything shows the opposite.
A real agency invests in its models, provides fair housing, transparent costs, decent allowances, guidance, and an actual chance to earn. Ice Models Istanbul does the opposite. If you want respect, fair treatment, and real career growth, stay away.
