A great company and equally great…

A great company and equally great people to deal with.
The Company was recommended to me sometime ago for a service and repair to a very precious/ sentimental watch. I was pleased with the service and price. Sometime later a further repair was necessary. I fully expected to pay a little bit more than on the last occasion, giving regard to the fact everything has gone up in price. Imagine my delight when I received the call to say it was ready. My first thought was, great, I get to wear my watch again. I was then informed that it was covered by their warranty! I was not expecting that at all. A true company and people you can trust impeccably. I have always recommended the Company from my first dealings with them and will continue to do so. They provide an outstanding service. For any doubters I would still say the same even had I paid again!

First Class!

A work colleague recommended Ian and his company to me, as I had a pre-owned Breitling Navitimer to service. I visited Ian's shop and the service I received was first class. Ian showed me his collection of Rolex watches for sale and eventually I traded my watch in and bought a Polar Explorer 2. Ian gave me a really good deal, and the watch I bought was in mint condition. Ian is currently finding a rolex watch for my wife. I cannot speak highly enough of the service I received and wil not go anywhere else in the future.

Best Watchmaker in England

My business is buying and selling vintage Wrist Watches, after looking hard and shopping around for a decent watchmaker at a reasonable price to service my higher end watches, I saw Ian online and I've never looked back.

He provides a superb service and I'd probably describe the bloke as a magician.

If you are looking to get your watch serviced by a trustworthy and highly competent watchmaker please do not look any further.

5 stars from me.

Excellent Service

This is the first time Ian has serviced my Rolex Oyster and I am more than happy with the quality of the work completed. He always replied instantly to my (numerous ) email questions and gave me confidence to send my watch to him rather than taking it to a high street jewellers.
I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending him and I will certainly go to him again in the future.
Excellent Service.

Very impressive workmanship, like having a new watch!

I've always wanted a re-edition Carrera Chronograph since their release some ten years ago and had been thinking about getting one pre-owned as there are some available via eBay and watch forums but was worried about buying one where I had to spend more money getting it serviced and replacing straps or worse, one where it needed repairing.

I had come across Ian's website searching online and noticed he had one available, it was more than what I was hoping to pay for and certainly more than what you would pay on eBay, however it does come with a warranty and had also been serviced and refurbished.

After an exchange of emails, we agreed a deal and Ian sent the watch promptly, arriving the next day. I have to say I was impressed with the condition, it was like new, with genuine straps and buckle, the glass and the case unmarked, already several people have mistaken it to be a new watch. I'm very pleased with the watch and it was worth paying the extra money for peace of mind. I would be happy to purchase another watch from Ian in the future (pending available funds of course!).

Great service and a price that puts the big jewellers to shame

I was quoted over five hundred quid by Goldsmiths to fix by Tag. I could never have afforded to have paid that to repair my watch, so it sat without a crown in a box for about a year.

I then came across Ian's website and exchanged some emails, after which I sent Ian the watch. Ian did a great job, got the watch back to perfect working order for hundreds less than Goldsmiths quoted.

Great service, and great to see an independent business taking such care in providing a good quality, high value service.

Ian Walsh puts care and attention into the service he provides.

I visited Ian Walsh's impressive workshop seeking to buy a Christmas present for my girlfriend. He was thourough and professional showing his current stock and he also offered to source anything I had seen elsewhere (nothing was too much trouble). There was no hard sell and he even asked if he could recommend a jeweler if I would prefer not to buy a watch. This quality of service and honesty is a rarity these days and I would thouroughly recommend Ian Walsh to anyone. Needless to say my girlfriend was delighted with the watch on Christmas day.

Top Class

I have had several watches I've owned from Rolex, IWC, Jaeger-Le-Coultre, and Cartier serviced and repaired by Ian over the past few years. His attention detail is excellent, his repairs are always done in a timely fashion and his re-finishing where scratches have occurred is second to none. It is nice to deal with someone who has a vast knowledge of horology, builds his own timepieces and is passionate about watches as well. Forget sending your watch to Switzerland for 6 months, with a astronomical bill, that's where Ian trained anyway. If my experience, if he can’t repair or service your watch the chances are nobody can. His prices are very reasonable as well.

Exceptional Craftsmanship & Service

I have used Ian's horology services for over 20-yrs now and have never been anything but delighted with the quality of his work. When my father recently passed on his much-worn 60's Omega Seamaster (which I had coveted for years) to me, I entrusted Ian with a complete refurbishment. Having talked through my plans for the watch with Ian it was agreed to utilise the existing components where feasible - for sentimental reasons, I wanted to retain as much of "dad's watch" as possible. Ian delivered a finished result which absolutely blew me (and my father) away with the quality of craftsmanship. Completely recommended.

Great service - incredible knowledge

I've used Ian to service and repair many of my watches over numerous years, he has always done everything to the highest standards and I have had now qualms about entrusting him with my most expensive, £14000, watch.... something i couldn't say about any other watchmaker.

This guy is one of the few remaining true artisans in the UK.

Outstanding service!

Ian came highly recommended to me by my colleague who has been a customer for many years. I contacted Ian to service my Rolex Daytona and from the first call the service I got was excellent. He called back when he said he would and gave me a quote before undertaking any work. I was able to post my watch to Ian and collected it in person from his impressive workshop in Darwen. I couldn't recommend Ian enough!
