Absolutely awful now having issues with the car and they have washed their hands! Very happy when handing over the cash but sold me a dud! I won’t ever use them again and the customer service is absolutely terrible

Unscrupulous Car Dealer

Bought a VW Eos for my daughter for £3495 with a 3 month AA Warranty. It broke down 4 days later on the M25. My daughter was terrified. Thankfully we had RAC cover and they said the clutch had gone. I emailed and phoned Huntingdon Autos and initially they agreed to repair the car. However they said they wanted me to get the car back to them as they didn’t have a tow truck. The cost for that was £210 and I said they needed to cover that cost not me. When they refused to pay that we mutually agreed to get the clutch fixed locally to me and they would cover the cost. I did that and the bill was £500. They then said they were only prepared to cover £200 of the bill. I refused that as they needed to cover the full cost of the repair. Since then they have ignored all my emails, letters and phone calls. I have reported them to Trading Standards as under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 they are legally obliged to ‘repair, replace or refund’ the car within 30 days of purchase. Do NOT buy from these people as they are unscrupulous crooks and simply disappear when anything goes wrong.

I was lied to.

Salesmen were friendly and helpful I thought (my first experience of buying a car through a dealer) but having agreed to look at my car for a possible trade in they then proceeded to lie to me. They stated they wouldn’t be able to sell my car as the mileage was too high (at 211, 000 it was high but I had told them that previously) and that they would offer me £100 as they would have to scrap it. I was surprised to hear this as the car was mechanically sound and well maintained. However as we had driven some distanc to view a car which I wished to purchase, we accepted their offer with sadness and their (false) apologies!

Checked their website two days later and surprise surprise the ‘only good for scrap’ car was up for sale for £995.

The car I bought I am happy with although it is missing some parts to use the tyre weld, and they didn’t have the locking wheel nut so had to take it to their ‘tame’ garage to drill out the lock nuts! Have only had it a couple of days so hopefully no hidden problems will arise.

Liars and cheats, I will never buy another car from these fraudsters again and I will ensure I advise everyone I know to avoid them. Very disappointed.

MR. DANIEL

The sales staff at Huntingdon Autos were great, total honesty, no pressure to buy and excellent variety to chose from. Bought a 2 nd car for the family and we are very happy with it, no issues at all and was ready to go the second we agreed to purchase. Would recommend!!!!!

Having travelled 4 and a half hours to…

Having travelled 4 and a half hours to this dealer with my 2 year old. Paid a large amount of cash for a car, travelled home took the car to a Vauxhall dealer ship for a health check only to be told the car should never have left the forecourt, the car had the wrong coil pack in wrong spark plugs a split exhaust very badly looped discs a broken calliper the list goes on. Having contacted the dealer on many occasions nothing has been done to rectify this problem. The car has been sat on my drive for 10 months now. The car does not run. I'm left thousands of pounds out of pocket and a car that's not useable. As i don't live near the dealership I can't just pop round to see them I would have to travel over 4 hours. When we said we would drive back down to get it all sorted out all we got was 'we'll it would depend if the owner/manager was there that day. Absolutely terrible service. Would never ever recommend buying a car from these at all.

This dealership isn't worth your time…

This dealership isn't worth your time or effort. Like most crooked salesmen they will be nice to you but once you spend money they will not be able to keep simple appointments/word.

They keep changing the names now they call themselves:
HUNTINGDON AUTOS LTD now Before PROXIM CARS

If there is something wrong with the car, they will not tell you unless you find it yourself and they will claim the car is in perfect condition until then.
Wouldn't recommend for buyers as you might end up spend money for things you will eventually find yourself. Warranty is only for engine and transmission. Annoying experience, avoid even if you have a car mechanic with you.

If you see a car advertised by these crooks steer clear away.

Its a trap
