Does a good job. Petrol operated ones are better in my opinion (remember to get a can of normal unleaded). It's heavy so, you'd need a hand to help you load it. The handle folds down which is very useful for transporting it. Overall a good it of kit.

The wacker plate I hired from HSS Hire exceeded my expectations in terms of efficiency. Once the equipment was up and running, it compacted the soil and gravel with ease, saving a lot of time and effort. Even the larger replacement model they provided worked efficiently, making the job much quicker than anticipated. It consistently delivered powerful and even compaction, allowing me to complete the task faster and with great results. Overall, the wacker plate’s performance was reliable, and it made a significant difference in the quality of my project.

Did the job well as required... that said I think the engine could be tuned better as seemed to burn through petrol like a demon and the smell/smoke reminded me of 5 litre V8 guzzler car from the 1950s!

Seems like it's not had a "proper" service in a while. Snapped steel structure could be forgiven but the oil leak was clearly an old problem....thankfully I managed to get the job done but no thanks to the equipment
