In my experience, this company's conduct has been deeply unprofessional, and I'd caution any business owner to be careful dealing with them.

A representative came into my shop and gave a full sales pitch about advertising and promoting my business. I did not accept any offer, sign anything, or agree to a contract. I left the premises shortly afterwards.

Months later, I began receiving invoices for "advertising charges" totalling around £500 plus VAT. To this day I've been given no evidence that any service was actually delivered — no campaign reports, screenshots, leads, links, or results of any kind.

Rather than resolving my dispute, they escalated the matter to court, with the amount now inflated to over £900 — for something I never requested, agreed to, or benefited from. This has caused me real stress, not least because it puts a disputed charge at risk of affecting my credit file.

Based on my experience, I would avoid this company

Not even 1 star. In my opinion this company is dishonest and operates like a scam.

Would highly recommend HSH to anyone looking to sell their business. They were professional, friendly, and kept me updated with the progression of my sale from beginning to end. I will definitely be using them again if the opportunity ever arises. Thanks again for all your help!

Sold my restaurant through Harvey Silver Hodgkinson, I was really impressed with their service. Professional and transparent it was a straightforward process from my first meeting till the sale completed. The team are helpful and Steven really came thru for me. My experience revealed a disconcerting pattern of fraudulent operations, with the team providing inadequate time for contract review and intentionally misleading about terms and fees. Signing with them proved to be a trap, resulting in significant financial damage and stress.

In my opinion, Harvey Silver Hodgkinsons prioritizes trapping individuals and extracting money rather than offering fair and transparent dealings. I strongly urge anyone considering engagement with them to exercise extreme caution, conduct thorough research, and be wary of potential financial risks.

Would have no hesitation in recommending HSH, their support during the sale process was 110%, always at hand to chase to other parties in the process right to the end.

Steven @ HSH was so professional at getting our business photographed and listed, and it wasn't long before we had interested parties in the business. A few were false starts sadly or were unable to raise the capital they needed to purchase, but the right buyer came along earlier this moth and our sale went through absolutely seamlessly.
