We had a guy come round to do an initial kitchen size up.
He didn’t need to as I has full architect drawings with measurements so it had exactly the details required.Thats was all good and he said he’d be in touch the following day. Nothing.
My wife rang up a week later. He’ll be in touch at the end of the day day. Nothing
She rang a third time and usual excuses were really busy blah blah blah we’ll be in touch end of week. Nothing
It is now over 4 calendar weeks since the initial appointment and we have had zero communication.
What a truly unprofessional service, how would you trust someone like this?

You had what i wanted. The only downside was not being able to identify it in the catalogue. The young girl who served me was very helpful and willing and to give her credit listened to what I had to say and between us we got there.
She learnt something and I would give her great credit for the way she handled the situation. The downside is terminology these days. In so much that if you dont put exactly the right word into a search it doesnt recognise and unfortunately quite often the case is the person serving sometimes does not have the knowledge experience or willingness to do the hard work and find what the customer is asking for.We went through the catalogue and i spotted the item required. But well done to the young lady who gave me the time and consideration when it would have been easy to sorry. The item i wanted was what is known in the trade as self spacing hinges or flush hinges. The catalogue listed them as hurlinge hinges quite correctly but unless the word hurlingue is searched they wont be found. When you actually get to see them visually flush or self spacing is in the description but unless you search hurlingue you would not find them. The nicest part was the young girl was also grateful to learn the terminology and the use of the item. She thanked me as well so overall happy customer..😀

My wife (Sarah Coyne) has been in contact with our local Howdens (Aintree) both in store and via the phone (Sorry guys). We returned today and were greeted by ‘Tom’ who had an instant recall of our joiners account (Ian H) because he has obviously been pestered to death by her (sorry again, try living with her). However Tom clearly has the patience of a saint and was very knowledgeable in his field. Long story short he explored several options for us and helped come to the best solution to resolve our latest dilemma.
I should probably mention although this visit was to resolve something minor Tom has been the face of Howdens for us and has made many difficult situations much easier to deal with. (He needs recognition if any management pick this review up)

Customer service is great. The only downfall is the latches for the doors I purchased were to short to comfortably use the handles the customer chose. I had to address the issue by buying longer latches and redrilling them etc. Regards James McArthur

It’s seemed to good to be true you had it in now almost 2 years and now it’s time for a new kitchen. It’s actually falling into bits. The fridge freezer is a waste of space to small doors fronts have broken off washing machine started to brake down the tap leaks kitchen top cracks and need replacing sink top moves not fitted properly leaks under the sink screws have no covers on them doors don’t close properly the last kitchen we had was from B&Q and I wish we had got it from them it’s a cheep and nasty company with no customer service they even come out to look at it but nothing was done
B&Q we’re a lot better and you got what you wanted it looks like a cheep second please please give this company a wide birth

Buying a kitchen is both expensive and complex. We bought ours from Howdens Aintree in October 2023 and is about to be fitted October 2024. It was a great design with fantastic attention to detail but as the building work started this summer there needed to be changes. This is when you know if you have a good kitchen company or not.
The manager Grant and new designer Chloe really went above and beyond. They adapted the kitchen twice, came and checked measurements and came and did a final check that we had everything we needed. This included a last minute change to the corner units as it was not square.
Even the delivery guys were professional and easy to work with. They moved the kitchen units into the newly painted kitchen without damaging either.
Great service all around and would recommend.
