Rodriguez Painting
I recently had my home exterior painted. My main concerns were to make sure the company was probably licensed and had professionally staff. When I met with Fransico he came prepared with his documents without me having to ask. The lead crew member Marco was very friendly and knowledgeable. Every question I had he answered, the was a little language barrier but that was resolved. The work was completed and I was very impressed. I would recommend these company.
Houzz customer service is terrible
I feel that the Houzz customer service is as a design pro the worst I have ever dealt with. I placed an order and had not received any order status past the ship date window. I emailed customer service five times for a status and never got a reply trying to order for a clients and not being able to give them an update on an order is very frustrating . Not until I asked for a refund. Did I get a response from Houzz. Extremely unprofessional .i would not recommend this company.
Don’t fall victim to their deceptive…
Don’t fall victim to their deceptive membership system. The software don’t let you cancel your subscription at the completion of your first year & directs you to call customer support. I called & notified them to cancel my account as I was not interested in renewing my contract. Customer service rep said ok well notify the relevant department & if needed they will reach out to you. A month later I started getting calls from their collections department asking me to pay $1685 for a service that I’ve not used once even in the first year of membership that I paid for. They are just running a scam to rip off their customers.
Worst company to deal with ever.

This company scams businesses with deceptive marketing tactics then makes it impossible to leave an annual contract. Do not fall for it you will be sorry. I have been trying to get out of it for years, I finally just stopped paying. Now I don't have access to my business's online profile and have no control over the content displayed.
Don’t waste your time with this company
I ordered plumbing fixtures. There was no paperwork, no specs, no instructions. I should have known better, because they couldn’t answer a simple question when I ordered it. Their website is almost impossible to navigate. It’s just a waste of time.
Very poor communication
I purchased a Quoizel light fixture and was given a ship date. A week after the promised ship date, I tried contacting Houzz and received no reply. Waited 2 more days and tried again, no reply. I filed a dispute with my credit card company, after which Houzz emailed me to say they would contact the merchant and check on the order. Other than the original order confirmation, I did not receive a single update of any kind regarding my order
Scam functionality not for the lay…
Scam functionality not for the lay user, after trial period you are stuck for 12 month with a 89 euro monthly cost. Never again!!

Signed up and they gave my phone number to hundreds of robocallers.
20 calls a day.
Horrible experience.
Do not give this business your information
Signing up for the Houzz pro? Stay away, you will thank me later…
Signed up for the Houzz pro as a contractor looking for good leads etc... after the year the overall performance was nothing great so cancelled Houzz pro then a month later they billed me anyway for the annual renewal and trying to get someone the correct their mistake is a nightmare. Just best to stay away from Houzz
Houzz isn't the place to find honest reviews for contractors
I reviewed a general contractor on Houzz that did a major renovation on your home (over $750K). Our GC refused to honor the required 12 month builder's warranty. He was found guilty by the NC Licensing Board of General Contractors for not building our home to code (plumbing, electrical, flooring and HVAC problems). He conspired with sub contractors to inflate their invoices so he could make more money on our cost + 20% contract.
I submitted a review to Houzz, and they even contacted me to tell me they helped one of their users to decide not to use our GC. They went on to ask for any recommendations for other contractors in the area who did good work.
Strangely, they removed my review about a week later. It was the only one on their website for this builder. I contacted the person who emailed me and asked why my review was taken down. For clarification, my review was 100% factual and was written professionally. I never got a reply. I tried again to submit a review about our experience with this GC and they never published it.
Why?
Better tools out there and they double charged us and refused to refund
I signed up for Houzz using my personal account to test it out for a friend who’s a designer. I’m not in the industry. I build software and was helping her evaluate tools for her business.
After trying it, I recommended Houzz to her. She signed up and paid for a full year.
Later, I realized Houzz had also been charging my personal account even though I wasn’t using it. So we ended up with two accounts being billed at the same time.
I contacted Houzz to explain the situation. I had only used my account briefly for evaluation, and now they were double charging us. They refused to refund the unused account.
So I ended up paying $1,000 out of pocket for simply testing and recommending their product.
In the end, she left Houzz anyway. There are newer, more modern tools with much better UX.
Terrible experience
Terrible experience. The membership terms were not clearly explained, and I was charged without fully understanding what I was agreeing to. When I contacted customer service about a refund, they were unhelpful and dismissive. No accountability, no resolution. Stay away.
Terrible customer service
I ordered a side table and within a half hour I sent a cancelation request. No response. I sent another email the next morning, again no response. Impossible to find a phone number for shophouzz. 2 days later they shipped the item. First was told I canceled within the timeframe and now am told I have to pay to return shiping. Very dishonest and poor business practices.
Shady company- poor customer service
I ordered 3 lampshades that were delivered and two boxes. One shade was from Fenchel and did not work for me so it was returned and I paid for shipping. In the other box, one shade was not at all what was ordered and I requested a return label as I did not like the other shade either. I received an email that I should keep the wrong shade and they would send me a new one to which I responded. I do not want another shade. I only want to return these. I have made five calls to customer service and continue to get the same runaround. In the meantime, they shipped another box with possibly the shade that they should’ve sent in the first place? I have not opened it. I want to return both shades don’t order from this company. They are shady, no pun intended.
pro-subscription is a scam
Their company’s pro subscription feels deceptive. I used their 3D design service once and didn’t realize I’d been enrolled in an auto‑renewing annual plan unless I canceled in time. When I contacted customer service, they said they could backdate the cancellation to June, which still left me paying nearly $200 for just one small 3D designs. But later, they emailed to say there would be no refund because that’s not what the contract allows.
DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY!
I purchased rugs and rug pads in August, which shipped the next day and arrived within a week. In September I decided to order 2 more rugs with rug pads, but they had switched their only shopping to a new website called shophouzz. I had no trouble placing my order, but the next day I received an email that said there was something wrong with my payment and I needed to update my payment information. The link in the email didn't work and there was no way to make any changes in my online account, so I called customer service. They said everything was fine, it was just an error from their new shopping platform. I checked my bank and the money had been withdrawn for my purchase.
After several weeks with no shipping or updates, I tried contacting customer service again. This time they said there was something wrong with my order and that I did need to update my payment information. I told them that the link in the email didn't work and I had no way to make any updates, so they said they had to turn it over to their IT department and that they would get back in touch with me soon. I emailed them screenshots from my bank showing that the money for my order had been withdrawn.
Weeks went by again without any updates or contact, so I called customer service again and they couldn't provide me with any updates or cancel and refund my order. At this point, it had been well over a month, so I filed a dispute with my bank.
Houzz disputed my claim and quickly shipped me the rug pads, but not the rugs, them used the tracking number to show that my order was fulfilled. Their response to my bank was that the rugs were out of stock and that they would refund me for those.
A month went by without any refund for the rugs, so I called my bank and reopened my claim. My bank saw Houzz's response where they said they would provide a refund and finally decided in my favor. Weeks later Houzz customer service sent me a nasty email because of the disputed charge.
This whole nightmare took months to resolved while Houzz sat on hundreds of my dollars and ultimately took a disputed charge to resolve. Do not give this company your money.
I own a roofing company in Austin
I own a roofing company in Austin, Texas and I was approached by a sales rep named Leah. She promised three counties and Leads monthly in my markets 3 to 6 months through the process not a single lead yet yet the monthly billing continued. They violated their contractual agreement and their assertions and promises during the sales process. When I called the cancel they said I was locked into a contract. I told them they were in breach of contract. I did a chargeback as they did not deliver upon their promises and they sent the account to collections and then escalated it trying to damage my credit instead of rectifying the issue and delivering upon the promises initially discussed. You know when you work with the sales rep and they tell you one thing and then deliver it does not deliver upon it. This is exactly that company do not do business with them or Angie’s Leads..
High shipping costs to return misrepresented product
I bought 4 light fixtures that were stated to be "dark bronze". They were chocolate brown at best. It took several tries to reach Customer Service. When they finally responded, I was told I would have to pay to return the fixtures. So even though the description was inaccurate, I got to pay $138 in shipping costs to send them back. Needless to say I will never buy from Houzz again. Now reading the other reviews, I hope I don't have to deal with them again to get the credit for the returned lights.
Returns are impossible
Don’t buy anything from them unless you know you will keep it, they do not want you to return anything and the whole process is a hassle. The only way to make a return is to contact support, I emailed them three times and they only answered after I told them I was going to file a chargeback. They sent me a return label and I returned it the same day but then they never followed up or gave me a refund, so I ended up having to file a chargeback anyway.
The worst customer service experience ever
I received a set of lights that I did not like. I reached out to do a return immediately after getting them. I did not hear back for 3 weeks. It was getting close to my 30 days so I sent them multiple emails with no response I sent them back return to sender. Then they told me that they could not find them even though I had documentation that they landed back in their facility. They kept asking for the tracking number I said it should be the same considering they were marked return to sender. Worst customer service ever I will never buy from them again.
