I would recommend this place to anyone that enjoys traveling. It's affordable, clean and it has everything one needs when traveling. All the staff were very nice. Rooms were nice and warm in the winter.

It's good to have hostel.com because , it's help to get the review of the hostel and to know more about the hostel that weather it is good or bad anf the best part is that we also get paid for giving our review on hostel where we stayed that help so much in travel . it's good in both way for the hotel as well as traveler . it's awesome

Good her service are good and not very high prices

I accidentally booked twice as I was trying to change the dates and had paid for cancellation insurance on both occasions. They took the deposit for both bookings and they refuse to refund as that is not their policy. They don't honour their insurance either. Not a nice company to deal with and would totally avoid any dealings with them. My booking isn't until mid next year and already not looking forward to going there to see what else they dish up after reading other reviews.

Hostels.com took a deposit of $56 on my booking but failed to forward it to the hostel concerned. To date they have refused to rectify this matter. I found them difficult to deal with.

There was a glitch in the system that wouldn’t allow me to use my visa credit card. When I contacted customer service to help they simply told me that I was only allowed to use a visa credit card -.- I ended up just booking the hostel directly. Much easier than dealing with them if they don’t care when their site fails.

Avoid hostels.com! I reserved a room through their site November 2018 and paid for it. The hotel then told me there is no reservation for me. The hotel is now full and I have to live apart from my friends and travel by taxi 6 times a day. After lots of writing and waiting hostels.com told me that they return my money "as a gesture of good will". They ruined my trip by not reserving me a room and dare to tell me that returning my money is some kind of "gesture of good will"!!! I have used hotels.com and booking.com dozens of times and been always satisfied. Hostel.com never again!!!

recomend using another platform like booking.com. A lot of wrong descriptions. Wont bring your money back. Uselesss system. Dont waste your time and money. I lost 160 USD just because description was that parking place is free, i called to hostel and it appears that there is no free parking. Money was refunded but just in hostel.com account.

I bought their cancellation protection plan on a reservation in Ireland. When I had to cancel they refused to refund the deposit which was charged to my card. Be warned: the 'cancellation policy' only gives you the right to re-use the deposit you've already paid ONLY if you re-book with them within 6 months. Quite the scam. Would not recommend. Will never use them again. Hostels.com STINKS!!

Some hostels were really great and other very poor

It's a safe, honest and a good company. I travel a lot and the most hostels they work with are very good. I had a bad experience with one hostel (because of the hostel system) and HOSTELS.COM paid me back for that issue.

This is my 5th stay here in the last 3 years. It is clean, safe, and well located. The staff is friendly and the rooms are cleaned daily. The free breakfast (fruit, yogurt and some carb) is a nice treat too.

I am always a little uncertain as to whether to trus on line booking agencies but Hostels.com stepped up to the mark. They got us a great hotel at a great rate. This is the second time I have used them. The only niggle ( and the only reason that I haven't given the 5 stars) was that we could not get a refund when we changed our plans and arranged to stay one day less. But that was in the terms right from the beginning so it did not really come as a surprise.

Not all the hostels posted or listed are 5 star hostels, but they are mostly the ones you are looking for.

A respectable option for budget travelers that will be used again.

The website is fairly easy to use hey had the option to pay the full balance online. I recently went to cuba and it was annoying to have to carry around the cash the entire trip.

It is easy to book through hostels.com. Prices are ok. The website offers numerous options as well.
