There was no customer service.

There was no customer service.

The apartment that we rented in Lisbon was not well equipped and was is a noticeably worse condition than in the photos.

They were unresponsive when I contacted them by email before the trip. We only received confirmation and were able to check in the day before our flight although they had received payment months before the trip.

The internet did not work due to a mistake by the owner. We asked for a partial refund but after saying that they would work on it, they never followed up.

There were also a few other problems.

We will never use them again.

Watch out for this company

Have only clicked one star so I could get through to write my review. I wouldn't recommend this company at all. I made a booking through booking.com and later had to cancel (free cancellation) half the price of the stay was taken from my account in March and still not refunded. I have contact ted them and now booking.com are also on the case!!

Even 1 star is too much for this bush-robbers company

Beware of that rogue scammer company. Unfortunately I found out later when it was too late and the forum is full of negative reviews. Well they're right. Unsuspectingly I booked an accommodation through booking.com but they were an intermediary of this toko. After the date was confirmed, she reserved 50% of the travel amount on the credit card without mention. Normally it is 10%, so 1280€ was served. I didn't have that money at the time and I don't want to pay such an amount in advance because you hear often enough that a company goes bankrupt. So I canceled the booking immediately 2 hours after confirmation. So you'd think it's under free cancellation. Not so, because those rats immediately wrote off the amount a day later. After contacting homing, she responded correctly and that they had instructed the financial department to book the money back within 30 calendar days. Well not, I'm already waiting from January 4, 2025 and still not a penny back. Contacted them again in early February and they no longer respond to anything. Then I contacted Booking.com and they have to go through all the procedures step by step. We are now 2 and a half months still no money. I have set Booking.com a deadline until March 25, otherwise I will start claiming back through the credit card provider. Unfortunately, they want you to take all the steps. Dear people really watch out with Homing.Algarve because they are really very unreliable and you really lose your money. A warned person counts for two and unfortunately I didn't do good research either and I'm also the sake of this.

Dishonest, unprofessional booking site. A scam.

This is an awful, dishonest and very unfriendly booking site. I booked and cancelled a stay in Loulé on the same day with free cancellation via Booking.com. After sending messages and calling Homing (during which they hung up on me) finally Booking.com intervened. Homing paid the amount back after almost 2 months. Never use Homing as they are a scam!

I would give them a zero

I would give them a zero. 0. But sadly I am not allowed to.
This company should be blocked from holiday home rentals.
They leave a very bad impression on visitors.

It's very sad. But they are horrible to people with health and skin problems.

They don't even clean the floor or the bathroom.

Terrible Experience

Terrible Experience - Dishonest Policy

I had an absolutely awful experience with this hotel. I made a reservation with the option for free cancellation, but when I canceled well within the allowed time frame, they refused to refund my money. This is nothing short of dishonesty and false advertising!

The customer service was unhelpful and dismissive, showing no willingness to resolve the issue. I feel scammed and strongly urge others to stay away from this place. If you value transparency and respect for your time and money, do not book here.

I will never recommend this hotel to anyone and will make sure to share my experience on every platform I can. Absolutely disgraceful!

Think twice before booking with them

Think twice before booking with them, at least if you are not sure you will make it on the dates you plan for. I made a booking in Sep.24, already for 2025. The conditions were pay 50% advance, and then if I cancel until Jul.25 get the full money back.
Unfortunately my kids will have an activity on the dates I had booked with the Scouts, and I cancelled the reservation on 07.10.24. Today, date I am posting 23.11.24 I am still waiting to be reimbursed on 1.600 euros (the 50%). Normal period to return, acceptable, I would say is 15 days. Initially Homing said they would return in 1 month, which I already though it was strange. Phone call, not answered.
I have booked trough Bookings.com, and now I complained to Bookings.com for the situation that I am facing, as I will not believe in any commitment that Homing will give me. I am waiting solve this, to book on other dates, for 1.5 months.
Is sad that we need to lose time, with companies with such lack of Ethics.

Avoid this scam

Avoid this company they would not refund my deposit €240 for a cancelled booking as per Homing booking terms. I booked and cancelled the same day. They keep saying refund is due but after 30 days no refund. I have contacted them numerous times for refund. I used booking.com for the transaction which were no help. Why booking.com hosts this fraud company i do not understand. Thanks to revolut for resolving the issue through a dispute resolution. Avoid Avoid Avoid.

This booking is fake site

This booking is fake site, also booking at Holidu is a companion in this. So also avoid Holidu, they book an apartment for you and pay Homing Portugal. As a result, you don't have coverage and here it has become your problem. Homing and Holidu is the same problem. Please be careful!

Avoid!!

Avoid!!! I would never book a property manged by Homing ever again. We booked a property in Quarteria through Booking.com managed by Homing. I made the booking 7months before our travel date and paid a deposit of 449€. When I canceled the booking three months before the trip, I would get the money back. Despite several contacts and promises, no refund came. I contacted booking.com who tried to help. no money. Booking.com paid me instead. All credit to them. Homing seems to have put this in the system to trick guests. Avoid!

Also I experienced fraud by this company. I had to pay an additional deposit for renting an apartment in Portugal for 5 days.
After I would check out, within 7 days they would return my deposit back, that was not the case.
More than a week too late. Booking.com had contacted them, now they tell me that they have bank issues and it will take 15 to 30 days more. That's a bull, they just have cashflow issues.
Well, it's definitely not according what we agreed on, so it's a case of Fraud.
Also Booking.com is collaborating with Fraudulent company Homing...is very bad. That they participating with this, just to earn money, but no protection to their clients.
From now on I won't use Booking.com anymore and won't rent appartements who ask additional deposits. That's how you solve such issues....avoid Homing!

Avoid Avoid, Horrendous Company!

I booked a holiday for 2025 on 13th July through booking.com The booking advert clearly Stated NO PREPAYMENT and FREE CANCELLATION. Within minutes of my booking a total of €1769 was taken from my debit card. The total cost of the holiday was €3618!! They took almost 50% of the holiday. I cancelled the holiday immediately and requested a refund.. they said it could take up to 30 days!! This is money I don't have and is quite substantial amount of money to me! I have been since unsuccessful in trying to get my refund, they requested my Iban which I sent early last week and to date I have sent several messages without reply, have rang customer service on booking.com who were no help!
Looking for help or advice if anyone can advice.. Dreadful dreadful company AVOID AT ALL COSTS PEOPLE !
Also very disappointed with the customer service on booking.com as I had expected a call back from them when I had reported this company
Currently on to my bank also. I will also go Legal route.
Don't get caught with this company people, I only read the reviews afterwards unfortunately!
If I could give a negative rating I would, one star is too much!

30/7 Update.... Thank you to Maryam from Booking.com who got in touch and was really really helpful, i appreciated the assistance👍I've got my refund back through my bank.
But certainly won't be booking through Homing Rentals again!!

Avoid!! Homing

Avoid!!! I would never book a property manged by Homing ever again. We booked a property in Quarteria through Booking.com managed by Homing. We made the booking 11 months before our travel date and paid a deposit of over €400. 9 days before we were due to travel Homing cancelled our reservation without providing any reason. The customer service ignored our requests for explanation. As a result we were unable to find similar suitable accommodation so close to our departure date. Two weeks after cancellation we still have not received a refund. Avoid Homing at all costs.

Stay away

Awful team. They wanted to charge an additional €30 price if you checked in after 7pm even through keys are left in the master lock at the apartment. Horrible communication, there’s no sense to warmt from the team just rudeness. Instructions to get into the apartment are so confusing and there is no support from the homing team. The apartment had no air conditioning, very old, towels had stains and wifi was horrible. I would never recommend to book with them ever.

I am also a victim and am still waiting for a refund.

I can only recommend that everyone reports this company to the police if they are waiting for outstanding money.

If I could give it a negative rating- I would.
We reached after a long journey to collect our keys and we were not allowed to use the restroom.
We had a written confirmation of an apartment on the ground floor- but we got one on the 1st floor- The staff seemed to be hardly apologetic and the manager was no where to be reached.
The apartment was in terrible condition. The kitchen floorboards were completely tattered and infested with termites. Knives were rusted. All the paint on the kitchen counters were peeling off. It was a filthy filthy kitchen. The bedroom has no ventilation and walls behind the bed are broken revealing raw cement. (there is no headboard)
At mid-night we struggled to open the main door for almost 20 minutes
Next day we checked out- but we wasted 2 days in Lisbon and landed up paying a lot more to find a last minute accomodation
