I wanted to return an item because I bought it by mistake, which I cannot use at home since it does not have keys and is for a room door, but it does not allow me to return it, and it is not useful to me. Lost money and bad service since the package is completely sealed and I thought it was like any other store. I spoke to a cashier and she He told me that it was not possible. I insisted again, explaining that it was to be taken to my country and he called the manager and insisted again that it was not possible to return it. If you don't know what you're going to buy, it's better not to buy it because you can't return it even if it takes only two days like me and with the item intact. I feel helpless because if I want to return it I have to Use it to see if it works and only if it is damaged is it possible to return it. Incredible customer service that cannot go wrong with a purchase. Bad experience.

I’m glad I checked before I visited the shop. The nearest one had no stock but I ordered at a different one and my order was paid in advance and ready to pick up.
Today my son was looking for paint to redecorate his bedroom. Angela was very patient with us and gave us lots of options to choose from. She advised us on prepping the walls and what products to use. It was great to speak to someone with such knowledge. My son is confident he has made the right choice of colours for his room. Thank you.

Next I will be contacting trading standards in the morning as the item was marked as a 40% discount but I also later found out after leaving the store that checkout till only gave me a 10% discount. Disgraceful! Con artist!

Ordered and received delivery of a pressure washer in a few days. There was a considerable reduction in price. Very smooth arrangement.
I’ve just had the most awful experience at Homebase Cambridge. The staff failed to tell us that everything you buy there now is not returnable. We had to return two Venetian blinds and the store manager was really rude. She basically called us liars when I mentioned the staff that served us didn’t mention anything about a non return policy. She then went on telling us how she knew the person that served us and they were telling everyone. I don’t usually tend to leave bad reviews but the whole experience was just appalling. On top of it we’re now stuck with 2 extra blinds we don’t want.

All good. Paint ready next day, lady at the till very helpful and efficient, no complaints.
Went to store on saturday and what i wanted wasn't in stock,so checked when i left the store and there were 2 in stock,so i ordered item on click and collect. When i got there it was the wrong item,so a member of staff went to search for it. No luck in store room,but found it on shelf,so i could have got it when i first went to the store,so my time was wasted twice and wasted petrol. So not a good visit

Homebase stocks a smaller variety of DIY products compared to BQ, but I find the quality to be the same or better, and at a fairer price.
