Having not bought Hollands pies for a long long time, fancied some so bought a pack of 4 peppered steak. First one cooked in the oven, came out very dry and found some filling tucked in a corner; no gravy at all. Second one I thought I'd reluctantly try the microwave method. They did come out a touch better, not quite as dry but far from what Hollands used to be like. Can't say I'm looking forward to eating the last two, maybe after a night out and need some stodge; after all, anything taste alright after a load of beer. Can honestly say I won't be buying hollands again, stick to supermarket branded ones, at least any disappointment is easier on the pocket.

I have just opened a 4 pack of Holland's pies, and they seem to be smaller than ever.
I won't be buying this product, or any other Holland pies again.

The pies and pud seem to have shrunk in size.
Meat pies have had the filling changed to something like sausage meat. No juice like the older version.
Potato pies are now awful. No more Hollands for me!

Nothing like they used to be. I used to love these. Now up in price and lower meat content. Seems a waste of 40 minutes lecky for the hob to cook

theres just one person in the reviews that has given 5 stars and they are probably employed at hollands or on drugs.
the chicken and mushroom pies have shrunk to the point where theres just a hint of something inside.its sad to see such a great brand like hollands go down the swanny like this.

Having searched for weeks for a proper steak and kidney pudding these are excellent! Very tasty and steam really well - no soggy microwave mess. Very tasty and excellent value. Can’t wait to now try the steak and kidney pies. Well done Hollands - an excellent product 😁👍.

Steak pies taste like vomit, meat pies concrete, meat and potato soggy, puddings empty,
and they have the nerve to say they have not changed anything in them, they take consumers for mugs, and now they are selling up wonder why? good look to who buys this company because they will be throwing money away because of what they have do to pies that was great. A pie I would only give to a dog and then I would think do I want to give this to a dog? bet the dog would say NO. One question I would ask is if they have not changed the recipe why would it say NEW on the meat pies.

Hollands hot pots used to be my favourites but alas the recipe is not the same. The carrots in them are rubbery and they have cut down the filling. Has someone taken over the company. Also the meat pies are not the same, meat is dry and tastes odd.

I Bought meat pie .they are really bad the taste is not good .the pastry is hard and what happened to the juices that used to be in the pie ..I'm sure they are not for human consumption ..I have been buying the meat cheese and onion and meat and potato and pudding for different member of my family a lot of
year....I will never buy them again

Bought some hollands meat and potatoe pies. Used to love them. Now they're just all gristle. It was making me feel sick wondering what the gristle actually was. Won't buy them again!

Cheese & Onion Pies. These pies were tasteless: no hint of cheese OR onion. I contacted the maker, saying the pies were flavourless and the palm oil shouldn't be there because it's indigestible. The reply made a lengthy case for sustainable palm oil but carried no other comment. I rest my case. (The pies rest in the bin.)

I've purchased Hollands cheese & onion pies for years and really enjoy them. For a change I decided to purchase a pack of 4 meat pies. I'm really disappointed in the meat pies because the 'meat' is nothing like it used to be years ago. Years ago the meat pie was juicy inside, but now they are as dry as a board and have such a weird taste. Here in the UK, we associate a meat pie as containing beef and a pork pie contains pork. At some point over the years, Hollands decided to make a meat pie containing beef and pork (nearly equal quantities of both), and the end result is absolutely disgusting! I took the 'meat' out of all the pies and fed it to my dog (she liked it, but my dog will eat anything that is put in her bowl!) and threw the pastry in the bin. If this is what Hollands now do to what we're once excellent pies, then I will not be purchasing any more.......not even the cheese and ones because this experience has put me off Hollands Pies altogether!

I tried the steak and kidney puddings....first one was just gravy . I complained via electronic mail . They said we've never had ONE complaint , obviously never looked on here ! They sent a letter of apology and a postal order for £4 . I paid this goodly sum into my account by photo , which I've done in the past several times . The postal order 'bounced' .... apparently incomplete . Does the person who does the quality control do the postal orders? . The best kind of pie is home made . Please don't buy these they're just as bad as pukka .

I purchased a steak pie from morrisons in bolton for my dinner for work.
When I tucked in and took a fork full of what I thought was a chunky piece of steak, turned out it was a large piece of what can only be described as a chop bone.
I was mortified, I almost broke my tooth. I have pictures of the pie and bone.

too much fat and gristle - hollands need to check the content - no kidney, gravy very poor, very little meat just lots of gristle so wont be buying these again - they were once a family favourite

just tried the steak & kidney puddings steam cook. Was looking forward to these cos i remember my mothers steamed pies when i was young. WHAT A LOAD OF RUBBISH!!!! they were stoggy! soggy! & just sh!te.
Don't take any notice of the picture on the bag, there was 1 piece of beef, ABSOLUTELY NO KIDNEY AT ALL!!! and just thick sickly gravy in my opinion full of grease. I will never, EVER!! buy this companies products EVER AGAIN!!! that's the truth. STAY WELL CLEAR!

Bought a 4 pack of these puddings. Great, just like the chip shop ones but much cheaper. Don't understand the negative reviews, there was plenty of tasty meat, rich gravy, and the suet case was very tasty. I cooked them exactly as suggested on the pack, ie steamed in 1 inch simmering water for 40 minutes. Just Perfect. I can only think the negative reviewers haven't followed the cooking instructions too well. Will definitely be buying more. Thanks Hollands ✔👍😋
