beautiful venue, amazing staff

From the moment we said yes to the venue, communication was great and we received prompts when things needed to completed or paid.

We booked the Inn the night before as well as St Peters Cottage and the Coach House for some of our close guests and they were very happy with the cleanliness of the accommodation as well as the things provided with the accommodation. One issue we did have was that the cleaners did arrive at the Inn particularly early and did force the guests to move out earlier which added unnecessary stress whilst I was having makeup done as people did not know where to go.

The wedding coordinators were absolutely fantastic and accommodating. They listened to us and were attentive to everything we wanted or needed. Nothing seemed to be a problem throughout the day. The outside grounds are amazing and the animals made it even better! The outdoor marquee was spacious and was the perfect setting for the wedding breakfast and party. "

Beautiful Venue. We attended a family wedding here and it was idyllic. The grounds were beautiful. The wedding was outside and the reception was in a beautiful marquee. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. Made us feel right at home. We took a wander over to the petting zoo in the grounds and were lucky enough to be there at the same time as the meerkats were being fed. The lovely lady chatted to us about the meerkats and invited us in to sit with them and help feed them. Absolutely made my sons day. Thank you so much to everyone at Hockwold Hall that make this beautiful venue and the whole experience very special.

Hockwold Hall itself was lovely, we went to a ball there raising money for a hospice but the food was terrible. Starter ok, but the venison was served cold and was so tough you couldn’t eat it. Service was slow too! Not sure why Hockwold Hall only state Shefs caterers as there menus for wedding are a ridiculous price and food very bad! Good job there was a cheese table as our table of 7 was still hungry!

What’s not to like about Hockwold Hall? It’s a challenge to know where to begin! From the very moment we booked the venue and started planning our special day, the Hockwold Hall team made the entire process incredibly smooth. Their attention to detail was nothing short of amazing, and they handled everything with grace and enthusiasm.

The venue itself is truly remarkable. We were fortunate with the weather, allowing us to have our wedding ceremony outdoors—a dream come true. The picturesque surroundings were absolutely perfect for our celebration. And let’s not forget the delightful petting farm on the premises—a hit with both kids and adults!

The marquee provided an ideal space for our wedding breakfast and evening reception. The staff at Hockwold Hall were attentive without being intrusive, ensuring that our guests felt well taken care of throughout the day.

We wholeheartedly recommend Hockwold Hall. Our guests echoed our sentiments, praising not only the venue but also the exceptional staff. It was a wonderful day, and we can’t thank the Hockwold Hall team enough for making it so special.

My family and I travelled from Scotland to attend a wedding at Hockwold Hall in August 2024.

The ceremony, the grounds, the staff, the marque for the reception and everything in between could not have been better.

The staff were helpful and the owner was very professional who helped us out of a tough situation after the wedding finished due to a lack of transport. Top man for that!

I would recommend the venue to any lovebirds looking for an exquisite location and back drop to celebrate their important day.

The resident peacocks top it off me. Loved it!

Whilst the building is very nice to look at, the team that run the venue sadly lack any sense of customer experience, and profoundly ruined my experience at this venue.

They had random members of the public taking payments from customers and serving drinks, I experienced a very unfortunate incident between two people by the public toilets (the same staff/non staff member serving drinks and taking payments), and the aftercare and customer service was horrendous. I could write a book on the terrible experience, but all I would say is if you want a nice building and appalling customer service then this is the place for you.

As wedding photographers, we were impressed by the beauty and attention to detail at Hockwold Hall. The venue offers a picturesque setting for a wedding celebration, with a team of friendly and experienced event coordinators dedicated to making the day special for the bride and groom.
