The staff in the shop was really good and interactive, we asked for a product in store, and it wasnt in stock, he searched the company website and located the product

Staff training
When I went to collect my Blue Ray from HMV Sunderland store you are met by friendly knowledgeable staff with music in the background, unlike the Newcastle store where you are blasted with loud music and mention the loud music to the staff, you are just ignored. Well done Sunderland the Newcastle staff should go on a training course to the Sunderland store .

My only negative observation is that other than ordering on line, or through the retainer, there is pretty much zero chance of finding something you might like in store by browsing through your selection of classical music.
