Their prices were reasonable and they offered me the bottom end for my car (even though it had full service history and new cam belt in the past 2 months). So I drove a few hours to see the car with the intention to buy. When I got there, it was chaos. Extremely busy. I had to go search the lot on my own to find the car for the appointment that was booked. I found it, only to immediately realise it was a smokers car, it stunk. The salesperson got in and denied they smelt anything, which was bizarre. They also would not move on any price. Staff were relatively accommodating, but I cannot recommend travelling to this garage, when the car I wanted stank of smoke and they would not move on the price (it was not advertised as a smokers car).

Bought a vehicle in March, it broke down numerous times the first being 3 weeks after i purchased the vehicle. In the few months I owned the vehicle I only drove it for 4 weeks in total the rest of the time it was with Hilton garage while they attempted to fix it. It broke day again a few days before I was due to go on holiday, luckily the staff kn the service department (Darcy, Lee and Rachel) were very helpful and gave me a loan car. The loan car was a great vehicle to drive and I ended up refused the original car and purchasing the loan car. I hope the new car runs better than the previous.

I was seen in a timely manner, allowed to test drive the vehicle on my own, Leon was great, sorted out a good deal for me and offered me a drink. I would certainly recommend this garage to others

I sold my car to this garage through Motorway. At collection, I was told the clutch was ‘high’ and would “need replacing in a month” and £1,000 was deducted from the agreed price on that basis, and due to an issue with the suspension. A couple of faults also popped up on the on board diagnostics and there were smears from the back wiper. They cleared the outstanding finance so I wasn’t massively bothered about this, however it is my opinion that £1,000 was an overinflated figure.
After the car was picked up, I went through the visual health check documentation from the Mercedes dealership (checks completed 2 months before sale as part of annual service, added ~1k miles on since) and the quote to fix the suspension was £227 including VAT - much less than 1k! The smears for the back wiper were also priced at around £60 to fix. On this health check, there was no mention of any issue with the clutch.
The car was advertised for sale by the garage the following morning. I can’t comment on whether any work has subsequently been carried out or will be carried out, but prospective buyers may wish to make their own checks regarding the clutch and suspension before purchasing.
The checks at pick up are vigorous (I wouldn’t fault the garage for that, as they should be), but it does make me question the responses to these reviews where Hilton are claiming no knowledge of issues prior to sale.
Pick up through Onyx was a shambles - I rang Onyx 4 times and Hilton twice on the day or pick up. The lady at Hilton on the second conversation said she would call the driver then “personally” call me back. Spoiler - she didn’t bother! I waited until 3:30 to be called with a time, even though they were meant to pick the car up the day before, when they didn’t turn up they said they will call me “first thing” with a time. Imagine my surprise when their version of first thing turned out to be half 3 in the afternoon.
I also left the logbook with the driver and forgot to take a picture of it before he left. I called straight away, literally two minutes, and he said he would send me a picture of it so I had the reference to declare to DVLA. Still not been sent it; and this was two days ago.
I called motorway for the reference in the end and they provided it - Motorway customer service and process was truly excellent, in my opinion the actions of Hilton have slightly let them down. I personally wouldn’t buy a car from them for the reasons stated in this review.

These guys are the best garage I have ever dealt with. They were clear, courteous and very fair with their pricing. They even spotted that I had been mis-sold RAC cover by my last garage - something I can now claim back, and claim a £450 refund.

This was my first visit to a Hilton garage. I was met by.sales exec Rayhaan Nadeem (Ray). From the very first moment, up until the point I had decided on a purchase, nothing was too much trouble for Ray. He was concerned to understand all of my customer requirements and help me choose the perfect car for my fiancé (birthday gift). After the purchase had been agreed and the financials settled, Ray made the whole process so simple, efficient and understandable. As an established a business person, I have to say, Ray is the kind of ambassador a accompany needs. As a result of his professionalism and Customer focus, I will definitely be using Hilton garage again. Thank you so much Ray for all that you did to make this purchase a pleasant experience.Mike

Arrived to collect the Mini Electric but had 3 miles range.. We travelled 70 miles and did ask to charge it the day before..
We had to go to a fast charger which cost £22 just to get home. They didn't seem bothered at all!!
4 weeks later still haven't received the logbook v5c after 4 phone calls, 4 emails and 2 texts. No reply to anything.
Poor service from this company.
I now have to apply for the v5c as they can't be bothered to help me.
Keep away from Hilton Garage and avoid at all costs. Poorly set up company.
I collected the car 27July and it is now 27 August and the v5c still shows outstanding on DVLA website.
I have emailed sales as you recommend re V5c but no reply!! 5 weeks now and the v5c still not ordered. DVLA have no record of it being ordered.

The purchase of the car was relatively straight forward. The vehicle itself had a few issues that were noted during the test drive and were fixed at collection.
However, I found the customer service to be slow. My test drive was in fairness on a Saturday afternoon (and also without appointment). So I do accept that this may well have been a very busy time - however waiting well over an hour just to get the keys to take the test drive was frustrating.
I did almost give up waiting and it was suggested to make an appointment to visit the following day, not living with n the area meant this was not convenient.
On collection of the vehicle I had an appointment at 1pm - however did not leave until after 3:30pm. I was asked 4 times whether I wanted to test drive the vehicle and seemingly nobody really understood that I was there to complete purchase and drive away. It felt like the appointment system needs a review. It also became apparent that the 4 new tyres that were needed on the vehicle (and I was advised earlier in the week had already been fitted) were actually still being fitted whilst I was sat in the waiting room. This was disappointing.
Not withstanding all of the above, the staff are friendly and were apologetic for the delays.
No current issues with the vehicle however only 3 days of ownership so far. Pricing was competitive

If you sell a car through The Motorway and it’s this dealership that has the winning bid I would strongly advise you to ask for the second winning bid!
After accepting the offer, I was told by the dealership my car was being collected on Friday, waited in all day, no one showed up, no phone call, no answer to the messages I left! I reported it to The Motorway and after a few days I had a phone call from the dealership again to say it was being collected today (Wednesday).
The dealership had offered me £8,904. The dealers’ collection guy came over and looked at my car, took a load of photos, told me that there was a lot more scuffs and scraps than I had photographed….just to add some context, I couldn’t even see half of them, I really had to get right up to the car and search!
After his very thorough check, the dealer got back to him with a price of £7,400! I asked him if this was a joke?! He told me that they would have to respray the whole panels because of the paint chips, I said “for a used car???!” Absolute con artists!!! One of the ‘paint chips’ that he had photographed which resulted in my lower price, I removed with my own spit!
I can’t attach a photo on here but I have on the google reviews, if you’re at a loss of what to do with your time, or you’re fed up of suduko, you could have a game of ‘find the paint chip that seriously lowers the value of your car according to the conmen at Hilton Garage’ it’s a great game!!

Just purchased my second car from you. And max dealt with myself from start to finish. This is the second car I’ve purchased from you and always wanted to use yourselves again as not all car sales companies are the same. And yours is the best I’ve known. No hidden costs and a respectful and fair price offered for the car we were part exchanging. I had a few questions whilst awaiting my new car to be ready and max was always available to help and assist me. And that goes along way. I will always seek to use you when the time comes again Many thanks.
Jane
