Excellent service. Best available price for the item I wanted, then immediate delivery within two days of order. Outstanding in my view.

Great service, great shoes. This is the second pair of Meindl I’ve bought in the last couple of months, latest pair came from Germany estimated up to 5 weeks for delivery and came in less than a week, brilliant.

Shoes arrived as expected, but beware that you are likely to incur duty charges if you are not based in the UK.
Unlike alot of UK retailers who incorporate EU duties in their advertised prices for EU customers, unfortunately Hill and Dale outdoors don't, so you are very likely to incur further duty charges.

Bought a coat for my pup excellent fit and great value, delivered on time.

I ordered a very expensive pair of walking shoes from this company with an acknowledged wait of five weeks to arrive from Germany. 6 Weeks later I queried were my order had got to. The person I spoke to checked the latest delivery they had received from Meindl only to inform me that the item was now out of stock. As I write this review I can see on their website that the item is still showing as available which would leave me to believe that I wouldn't trust this website. I have been refunded for my purchase but the experience has left me with a view that I wouldn't attempt to purchase an item online from them again.

Good price, very good customer service and communication

Great company to deal with. This is the second pair of Mendel shoes/boots I’ve had from ‘Hill & Dale Outdoors’ and they were by far the most competitive price wise.
The second pair were returned/exchanged for a bigger pair and it was a very easy transaction.
Very pleased with my purchases.
I would highly recommend buying from this company.

You sauced product quickly and also helped with the payment problem which accured during the purchase.
The delivery was outstanding the product was delivered by early afternoon the next day

Clear understanding that boots had been on order and that delivery was expected in around 10days from placement of order.
It was communicated when despatch happened and delivery arrived as planned.

The boots were delivered and as expected so no complaints there. I knew the boots were out of stock and were on a two week delivery and I was prepared for the wait. The delivery time exceeded this time frame and at no point did Hill and Dale Outdoors initiate contact to explain this. I felt like I was pestering them for information on a very expensive pair of boots, that I had purchase on behalf of my father. I would say communication was poor and I appreciate small outlets are busy but they still need to put time aside to inform their customers on the deliveries that they have paid for.

Walking shoes I ordered were out of stock but they kept me informed on when they were due in and then posted them on promptly. Very pleased with my purchase.

First time ordering with Hill and Dale and wouldn’t hesitate to order again. Order was shipped promptly, and when I needed to request a return, the return payment was handled promptly as well (same day as parcel arrived back to them).

Deducted one star as the item I bought wasn’t as described, which was disappointing. And when I emailed to query this, I was at first told to just go through the regular returns process (which involves the customer paying for return shipping). I had to ask for the shipping to be covered by Hill and Dale, which after I specifically asked, it was.

I was disappointed I couldn’t use the item (it was missing a feature it was described as having and without it would be impractical for me to use) but the overall returns process was relatively seamless after a few emails, and Josh was a lovely team member to interact with, polite and prompt. Thanks again and hope to purchase from the website again soon.
