Appalling company

Appalling company. Sold me a van which went into limp mode going around the corner, then found every reason to ignore me when I tried to use the warranty he gave me after paying £500 to get it fixed. On top of that, I never received the V5 logbook, so he never even bothered to properly register the transfer. Small pathetic company ran by a small pathetic man, who shouldn’t be where he is.

Mechanical issues after sale with poor after sales service

4 weeks after purchase i experienced issues and was dogded by all at HighWay Sales. I had to get other people to contact them to get a response as i was avoided when i mentioned the issue which they obviously knew about. After this the service was still very poor and my vehicle was used/driven in a CAZ area at 21:45pm while in there care for repairs which recieved a PCN which i was told by them wasn't used in the area. I also noticed alot of extra mileage on the vehicle a few hundred to be precise

Very poor service with no professional service or honesty and dodgey vehicles with no history. Very desperate cowboys i.e (Adam & Jay)

Avoid at all costs as there are honest dealers out there that will not put your life at risk and purposely leave you out of pocket they should not be in business as they are dishonest and dishonorable

Do not buy from here

Update July 2025 -The head gasket has now gone, and the car is no longer fixable. In summary, I had the car for about 8 weeks, spent £2,400 on the purchase, then another £600 trying to fix all the issues they didn’t disclose and to get it properly serviced. Now the car is unusable.

Avoid at all costs.

I purchased a used car from Highway Sales Ltd. I was told it had received an interim service and was in good condition. Initially, communication was very good.

As problems began to appear a few weeks later, I had the car fully inspected by a qualified mechanic. It became clear that many of the items listed as completed during the interim service had not been addressed. In addition, a fault with a door turned out to be costly to fix and was never disclosed at the time of sale.

I raised my concerns with the dealership. They initially offered to collect the car and carry out repairs, but I no longer felt confident proceeding with them due to several red flags. When I informed them that I would be handling repairs independently and requesting reimbursement, their response became dismissive and unhelpful.

For the sake of my own peace of mind, I’ve chosen not to continue contact. Overall, this experience has left me disappointed and significantly out of pocket.

I feel misled and upset — especially as this car was purchased so I could learn to drive and support my mother following the unexpected death of my father.

I would not use this dealership again.

I recently purchased a van from Highway…

I recently purchased a van from Highway Sales and had it delivered, and I couldn’t be happier with the entire experience. From the start, the team was professional, transparent, and easy to work with. They provided all the information I needed, answered my questions promptly, and made the purchasing process smooth and stress-free.

The delivery was right on time, and the van arrived in excellent condition—just as described. It’s been running great, and you can tell they take pride in the quality of vehicles they offer. I highly recommend Highway Sales to anyone looking for a reliable vehicle and excellent customer service. Thanks again for a great experience!

Bought my car last month from this…

Bought my car last month from this garage. Seller didn't knock anything off the price, instead, promised to sort out a few minor bits (wing mirror was wonky, small clip missing from bonnet) and he also promised to do a service. NONE of these things were done when car delivered. The service certificate turned out to be fake as I took car to 2 garages to verify, both said no service been done. I even had to chase up the logbook myself, by filling in the relevant form at the Post Office - after being told by Highways that they've chased it up through DVLA but apparently DVLA haven't received anything(!)

Smooth experience

Called Highway Sales regarding a vehicle I seen online, salesman answered all my questions and I opted for delivery service. Had the vehicle delivered the next day. Couldn’t have been any easier. Would definitely use again and recommend.

Fabulous service

Fabulous service! From start to finish totally exceeded our expectations. Salesman - down to earth, straight talking and efficient - did everything he said he would. Great selection of used cars all in tip top condition. We will most definitely recommend them and use again.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! 0 star
Wish I has seen these reviews before I became entangled with these scammers following a vehicle purchase.
Months of agony involving car repairs, numerous unanswered calls, empty promises to have the car fixed, refusal to honour the warranty, and so many more.
I have successfully retrieved the costs after about 5 months of battle, once I raised it as fraud with my bank.
Nasty individuals!!!

Never again

I was interested in buying a car, I was told how much deposit to pay and I asked for bank details to do a bank transfer, I sorted the insurance only to be told they sold it to someone else, what a waste of time and money.

Highwaysales Ltd: The Worst Scammers—Stay Away!

Highwaysales Ltd is an absolute disaster of a company. They’ll take your money and sell you a car that’s nothing but a heap of problems. Their so-called customer service is non-existent, and their cars are riddled with issues they’ll never disclose. Dealing with them is a massive mistake you’ll regret—stay far away and save yourself the hassle and expense.

If your money is trash, buy a car from these

I regret to inform you that the vehicle I purchased from Highwaysales Ltd had electrical and engine issues, none of which were disclosed to me at the time of sale. Just one month after purchasing the car, it became completely unusable and had to be scrapped. This situation has caused me significant financial loss. Highwaysales Ltd’s practice of selling faulty vehicles without informing customers indicates a serious lack of integrity. Buying from this company is no different than throwing your money away. I believe we are dealing with a company that has mastered the art of deception.

Scammers!

Purchased a Jaguar X series from them for £1459 Just over a week ago. Car was clunking when I drove it off the lot and I assumed it was due to one of the minor advisories on the MOT (a tray under the car not secured). This was not the case and after 3 days driving 70 up and down a duel carriageway I noticed the front drivers side wheel was pointing diagonal. I took it to Halfords and after examining the car they told me they had no idea how I was still alive as the front axle had snapped and that was the noise that I was hearing. I spent £1000 to get it fixed and yesterday it broke down at some traffic lights but managed to get it started and slowly drive it the rest of the way home. I got the AA out to inspect the car and was told that 2 cylinders in the engine were misfiring and the gasket had blown which would cost about £3000 to sort. I called the place and was told basically see you in court if you want us to return my money. Today I sold it for less than £200 to webuyanycar who told me there was no service history which was very dodgy and he also told me the MOT had most definitely been faked. Sadly for this scamming company they scammed the wrong person this time and I mean this time because I have read so many reviews from people who have been treated the same way by these con artists. Police have been contacted and I am about to start legal action to not only get my money back for the car and repairs but also mega compensation for them knowing the car was not roadworthy and putting my life at risk. On top of this I am going to the papers with proof of all and with sworn statements from Halfords mechanics. I was going to let it go but every person they have scammed deserves to see these scumbags get taken down.

Wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy

This is the worst garage I have ever experienced. 5 months ago I bought a VW Polo from them for £2500 with a 'passed MOT', tell me why in 5 months 15 separate, crucial and very dangerous things have gone wrong with the car. When I phoned the garage to see what the hell has gone on, the guy on the phone was rude, aggressive, defensive and wouldn't listen to anything I said. He instantly threatened court which took me by surprise as I was purposefully being really calm and polite with him. Absolutely fuming that I've wasted £2500, wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy. Will be reporting them to Trading Standards.

Avoid at all costs

Bought a VW Golf GTTDI from them, clutch went on the way home, tried calling but they wouldn't answer the phone.
Called recovery and the breakdown/recovery company refused to take us due to all 4 Tyre's showing cords on the inner edges so not visible when we looked around the car, so we had to arrange a private recovery while my pregnant girlfriend and i had to sit in a cold car for hours.. When i rang them on a different phone number and they answered they offered me £50 back.. Upon taking the car to a garage to have the clutch repaired they told me it has been in a front end crash and repaired very badly with some of the dash bulbs being removed to remove ABS light..
Avoid at all costs.
