Some doubts

The product is very cheaply manufactured (mostly soyabean) but the pyramid-style of marketing makes it VERY expensive for the end user. I have friends who use the 'meal REPLACEMENT shakes' and then eat another meal just afterwards! Because they still feel hungry! Some 'replacement'!

I have read there is a concern about long-term liver damage in some people but there appears to be no bans by governments as far as I know - so this is an unknown (as it is with most supplements).

Some experts say these shakes work only for SHORT-TERM weight loss.

Just eat a balanced diet, do exercises and IMO you just don't need this stuff. It's throwing away good money.

So disappointed with the product…

So disappointed with the product availability, the poor customer service, and the dysfunctional mobile app. I am a Herbalife distributor and I have had nothing but problems with this company. They are continually out of products, their return process is a nightmare, their customer support is completely lacking, and I am not able to log into the app without error.
**worst part their products are full of dyes, they claim to be healthy and the wait until there is a big push (RFK) to remove just from our foods, how can they knowingly claim to be healthy when they have been feeding up harmful dyes for years?-***

Herbalife is a scam

Herbalife is a scam. Products are too costly as its based on MLM model and includes commision of middlemen. The agents are cheap they will tell you purchase new costly products everytime. And if you dont they will consistently follow up and irriate you. One of the agent is a big fraud her name is Shikha Bhadoria. Pls be cautious.

Whistleblower Report: Nutrition Club Operational Concerns and Prohibited Recruitment Practices

January 28, 2026
I am writing anonymously to express serious concerns about the conduct and operations of certain Herbalife clubs in Puerto Rico. While Herbalife promotes health, integrity, and community, there are troubling patterns emerging in some locations that risk undermining these values and harming the reputation of the brand.
Based on firsthand experiences and observations, I respectfully urge Herbalife to consider the following areas for improvement and oversight:
Inclusive Hiring and Anti-Discrimination: Ensure that individuals with disabilities are treated with dignity and provide training to club owners on inclusive practices and respectful communication.
Hygiene and Facility Standards: Conduct regular inspections to ensure clubs maintain clean, functional, and safe environments. Basic amenities like restrooms should be accessible to all clients.
Professional Conduct and Ethics: Reinforce boundaries between personal and professional interactions. Inappropriate conversations or behavior—especially of a sexual or manipulative nature—should be addressed through clear guidelines and consequences.
Mental Health and Emotional Stability: Encourage club owners to seek professional psychological or psychiatric support when personal issues or emotional volatility interfere with business operations or the safety of the environment. Offer wellness resources or referrals for franchisees under emotional distress.
Responsible Use of Faith and Values: Discourage the use of religious symbols or language as tools for manipulation. Promote authenticity and compassion in clubs that choose to incorporate faith-based elements.
Fair Pricing and Ethical Sales Practices: Monitor pricing structures to prevent exploitation of vulnerable clients. Ensure that memberships and merchandise are sold transparently, without emotional coercion.
Confidentiality and Trust: Train club owners to respect client privacy and avoid sharing sensitive personal information. Implement safeguards to prevent misuse of client disclosures in order to create a hostile club environment from other clients.
Accountability and Corporate Oversight: Require periodic evaluations of club operations, including feedback from clients and staff. Ensure that all clubs adhere to Herbalife’s Code of Conduct and ethical standards. Provide clear channels for anonymous complaints and whistleblower protection.
Critical Concern: Sales & Marketing Plan Manipulation
Furthermore, I am flagging a specific violation of Rule 2.1.8 (Payments for Recruitment). As a customer, I was offered payment directly by a club owner who stated that their group of distributors would compensate me to bring in more distributors to the club. This individual goal is to achieve "President" status quickly through high-volume recruitment to "get rich fast" and gain "prestige." This scheme bypasses Herbalife’s FTC-mandated retail requirements and severely undermines the integrity of the Distributor Ethics & Compliance standards.
These recommendations are based on recurring patterns observed that suggest a need for stronger oversight, clearer ethical boundaries, and more compassionate leadership. I am submitting this anonymously to avoid retaliation, but I trust that Herbalife will take these concerns seriously and act in the best interest of its community.
Thank you for your attention and commitment to excellence.
Sincerely,
Herbalife Consumer

Scam , be aware

I got to know about herbal life via a friend , basically people are running the business here. They get money when they add a member. Initially he told me you need to take a product one time a day then you can have your regular meals. That seems easy. I spend 20k for the product he recommends and said if u dont see result I will return your money. When I enrolled ,after one month no result. He ask to get more product costing another 10k. Now he replaced my breakfast ,dinner both with same powder solution. No results still. When I asked for my money return. There team started talking rudely to me asking for proof that u are taking the product we are not sure. Basically they dont want to return the money. My friend said continue for 1 month more and ask to add more products. These people act like they are doctors. After using this product for 3 month now. My stomach got upset , I start seeing blood while going to washroom. For this they said u have this problem before starting the product. This is not product fault ,go and see a doctor. These people are running business taking sessions in morning, showing to new joiner that there are so many people benefiting from this. There is no shortcut to weight loss. Healthy weight loss take time and stay consistent. Please dont fall for these scam . I wasted around 50k for there bullshit program. I was getting products from there website so no chance of duplicate product. This is a big scam ,dont fall into it.

Terrible product

Terrible product, couldn't loose the weight, had to eat a lot of fruit as made me constipated. Also when I went to return unopened products Herbalife refused to accept any returns. So only place is the bin. So disappointed with product and customer service would warn against anyone thinking of using Herbalife. It's nothing but pyramid marketing. Now on Protein Works and it's like night and day, loosing the weight, not constipated and finding a brilliant boost of energy.

Scammy MLM club

My local social media pages have been overrun with “Nutrition Clubs” which are just a front to sell Herbalife products. The ‘nutrition advisors’ are no more than people who have been roped into a scammy MLM scheme on the promise of riches. If you’re offered a free wellness consultation worth £50 run for the hills! I recently got an unsolicited message via Messenger and when I called the person out on it, they blocked me. They clearly don’t believe in the product or they would include it in their scammy sales patter.
