They lie and do nothing.

I filled in an online complaint about my treatment in hospital (UHS). I received an acknowledgement and waited for 5 weeks before contacting them again to enquire if there had been any progress on my complaint, They denied ever receiving correspondence from me. I have copies of my correspondence and their initial reply. They are an organisation that lies and does absolutely nothing.

A body funded by the government to look…

A body funded by the government to look at a government funded body. They are not for the people as they do not want to point the finger at failures and when they see fallures they simply accept that the NHS Trust wil learn.

They should be overseeing the failings and helping the public but that is not what they do,

Unhelpful staff and uncaring

I contacted health watch as I have been contacting my GP surgery and they are not listening to me.

I was told to write a letter to the surgery which I did but I did not get a response.

I really need the practice manager know how bad the surgery is performing and not listening to me and providing me the proper care.

Unfortunately Healthwatch did not want to help me. This is what they are supposed to do. I have been let down again

In my experience , as a physically disabled person ,Healthwatch are incapable of holding the NHS or social services etc to account. Useless
If I could give no stars I would.

ineffective waste of tax payers money

ineffective waste of tax payers money. powerless to take action against the NHS and ICBs - just go along with what they say anything so as not to rock the boat with these organisations who effectively control their own complaints processes. Self interested disgracefully take salaries that could be spent on a truly independent NHS complaints process or front line NHS services.

Sadly not helpful

I was at least reassured to come on to Trustpilot and see that I am not the only one who feels that this organisation achieve nothing. I spoke to 'R' in Coventry, lots of promises of actions but nothing delivered 🥴This included an advocate referral. Respectfully they just do not care and do the minimal possible.

What do they do exactly?

I only had dealing with my local one (Lewisham), they never replied to email enquiries. Don't know what they are there for to be honest. Considering that they get fundings, if they can't be bothered with replying to enquiries, what exactly do they do?

Exactly what it is called ,it watch & that is about it but never deals with it's (the nhs) failures & seems to be put in place to make the heath system look like it is working fine.

Why do we need a healthwatch if the health system is supposed to be as good as it is made out to be.

The ICB are responsible for giving contracts to providers (businesses) when there first job is to make a profit just like the ICB, money money money.

While the health system is a business & a businesses first job is to make money it will never work .

Where money is involved there is fiddle ?.
Corruption & cover up, GABAPENTIN.

Customer service is terrible and they…

Customer service is terrible and they stole my money. I purchased a replacement charger from them and it did not work. They sent a different charger. Tried to get them to send one that works and while they claimed to do so it’s never arrived. I asked them for a tracking number and they started playing games like asking me to send them screenshots of my order. Ugh, so frustrating that they can’t even look up order numbers. Stay away from this company! They are clearly in it for the money grab.

HEALTHWatch would play an important…

Very weak.
HEALTHWatch should play an important role in the healthcare system, but there have been instances where its relationship with the NHS appears far too cozy. I once overheard an NHS manager discussing how HealthWatch and the NHS often engage in a seemingly friendly relationship. Members of HealthWatch receive invitations to events where new NHS equipment is unveiled, followed by socializing over tea and cakes. This cozy dynamic is evident on their Facebook pages, which are filled with photos of tea and cake parties. It would be beneficial for HealthWatch to show more assertiveness and stand up for issues when people seek their help. For instance, when someone reported that medical records were being tampered with and disposed of unlawfully a while ago, one member of HealthWatch in that area appeared perplexed and unsure of how to handle the situation and did nothing. This did not instill confidence in their ability to address sarious concerns effectively.

Avoid at all costs if you are vulnerable or have Mental health , Neurological or spectrum based disorders.
All talk no service.
All they do is waste your time, offer nothing. Cause you to be more stressed. They more interested in socialising in the office than helping people and doing their jobs, AVIOD at all costs just a waste of time. Contacting them has made my mental health and stress levels worse .

Totally useless...

I have contacted healthwatch in London and in Coventry for a problem with the NHS, the office in London has never replied me after knowing my case, the office in Coventry has provided me a reply asking me about my case, as soon as they heard about my case, they have disappeared….all these organisations that should support and help patients are involved in a loop of conspiracy along with the NHS, they let you believe that are there to help, but actually it is the other way round….just a shame!!!
