They delivered a highly detailed report ahead of schedule and took the time to explain everything over the phone.

Their insights saved me from making a costly mistake on my property purchase. I highly recommend their services to anyone buying a home!

Booking was easy, the report arrived quickly, and the surveyor actually rang us afterwards to walk through the main issues with the house which we really appreciated. For a period property with its fair share of quirks, it was really reassuring to have someone explain things to us in plain English.

I dont know what some people are smoking on here but the level of detail and care given to her reports was second to none she was available to answer any post survey questions and really did a great job. I only use her within her area now

Helen was amazing she negotiated the sale of our commercial premises and provided advice and guidance throughout .
It was a difficult transaction and she did everything she could to help us . Thank you very much and I would thoroughly recommend her .

Do not use Helen Du Rose / HDR Surveys. We used her in June last year, and she has caused us nothing but problems and money since.
The report she carried out which states is to be delivered prior to the completion of sale in order to help rectify issues, was given to us late as initially she never attended the day she originally booked and then when she did eventually do the survey she didn’t send us the report until after completion and gave us ridiculous excuses as to why it was late, despite me giving her our completion date several times and she was well aware we needed the report prior to that date.
We discussed compensation and refund with Helen to which she stated she had done nothing wrong. She takes weeks to respond to emails and is abrupt when she does. We have begrudgingly settled the complaint now with Helen with a “partial” refund , which I think is disgusting considering the survey was of zero use to us.

Was recommended via word of mouth. Needed a in-depth L3 survey on old Victorian Semi. First time buyers so really worried about getting an older property.

Helen did a really thorough survey that also laid out the future costs and the priority of repairs.

Was able to use these factors to negotiate a better price so well worth the money!

Came with all the correct kit and was really impressed with the footage she was able to get of the roof

Great experience with HDR Surveys on our Edwardian property.
Survey was booked in promptly and completed on time. The report itself was incredibly detailed, particularly compared to surveys I have had done in the past on other properties.
Helen went above and beyond with my follow up questions, very clear explanations that put my mind at ease on a number of issues.

Needed a desktop valuation of a property, was given a comprehensive report within 24hr.

Absolutely brilliant service from Helen. On the day of contacting her to enquire about the valuation, she arranged to visit that day. The report was completed and sent within a few days. Very efficient and definitely value for money.

When a problem arose from the help to buy scheme, Helen sorted out an updated version of the report within a matter of hours.

Helen is a perfectionist when it comes to her surveys; very thorough and detailed, pictures, including roof pictures, a very comprehensive and detailed report too. I would have no hesitation in recommending HDR, I have used them myself several times.

Helen is not only a first class surveyor she responds quickly to any post survey queries and gives you a straight forward detailed approach to the properties issues if they have any. Her reports are excellent and on top of it all she is a warm and helpful person.

So far we've used HDR surveys,once for a commercial vintage and also a private purchase,in both instances we've been extremely pleased with the end results,we were also impressed that the surveyor had taken the time to even learn about our business in terms of legislation, this was especially helpful as we had found a old mill building which turn out to be in a conservation area and was listed ,as we are in the media business ie music side,this helped us no end with what sound proofing we had to budget for and what sort of planning application we had to put forward,as for the personal purchase after being pleased with the first experience ,I asked HDR to survey a old farm house I was wanting to renovate,got to say they were on the ball with this finding various issues with place which in turn gave me the bargaining power to knock pretty hefty lump off the asking price which in turn pretty much paid for the work,so over I was a very happy with the work carried out

Prompt, efficient and very professional service which helped to make my house purchase stress free. Helen went above and beyond to make sure I was as informed as possible about the property and I highly recommend her service.

I would give it one star if I could. Instructed to complete a survey, informed us that the survey was completed on the 14th December and that we would have the report no later than 21st December. I have emailed numerous times to both Scott and Helen, and received no response, they were previously very responsive (prior to booking them), and also no response when ringing the landline or mobile phones. Previous reviews on here suggest this is common practice for them. Reported to RICS and reported to Really Moving as the reviews on there seem to be older and not reflective of their current practice. Poor firm, avoid at all costs. Excuses for late responses or late surveys and just not fulfilling what they have been instructed to do.

They have two stars because the actual survey, which is what you are paying for was very good.
It's just everything else. Wrong date given for the survey, promised phone call after it was completed didn't happen. Emails and phone messages never replied too.
Dates given for the report not adhered too, carbon monoxide poisoning was one excuse given for being unable to contact us yet it didn't stop her from contacting a colleague for them to email me.
But credit where it is due the report was comprehensive it's just everything else. So frustrating.
