This may be the worst service I’ve ever used I have now watch the 20 minute show and it is paused and stop 9 to 12 times it makes me not wanna even watch HBO max terrible

Really needs to up their game if they're going to compete with Netflix as the premium streaming service.

HBO keeps stuttering for me, tried all the troubleshooting but it didn't fix it for me and support can't help me...shame.

Constantly glitches out can’t stream anything, even with super high speed internet. Get it together hbo not fricking worth it.

I subscribe for the Big Bang Theory. Horrible delays in internet service. Can’t fast forward through a movie. It’s like 2011 all over again. Poor quality movies and worse service.

Poor selection of movies to choose from. I also pay for no commercials to watch The Big Bang Theory. They are now including a commercial at the beginning. You can skip it but it’s irritating

HBO has always been a money grabbing company that doesn't care about their customers. That's why my family, my friends, and I, all refuse to even touch that. Some cenima isn't worth the scam that comes with it.

HBO Sucks. They are now so politically correct they have literally self cancelled. Even Telemundo is better than HBO.Hollywood as well, has self cancelled. We hate all of them for bringing their stupid politics into entertainment and ruining it,. Wish we could sue these brain dead morons

Besides the constant buffering, the difficult continue watching and my lists functionality and well pretty much everything else, it's just plan awful.

HBO gets worse and worse as time goes by...you need to step up your game, Netflix is outpacing you hard.

The user interface is miserable and the reason I decided to quit after one test week. Seriously, there is so much wrong with it I don't even wanna list it.
But please fix it, I would love to respect the service, if you had service.

Do not get HBO

They play the same few movies over and over and over and over again nothing ever new.
Not worth the money don't bother, garbage.

I paid $69.99 for the HBO MAX trial 6 month period. My wife wanted to watch a new Denzel Washington movie. And three days after I paid we did watch the movie and it was horrible. Boring, no real plot plus Washington looked like he had aged 20 years.
Anyway, I then spent at least an hour looking at what they offer and could not find ONE series, movie etc that I would have watched. I used to have HBO with my XFINITY plan but dropped it years ago. HBO MAX's shows are junk! Loads of cartoon shows; series that go back many years; movies (like DIE HARD) that go back 33 years. In other words there was nothing I would watch. If I had been able to see what HBO MAX offered before buying the 6 month trial there's no way I would have done it. Plus, get this! As mentioned the price i saw was $69.99 for 6 months but when I looked at my credit card statement they had charged me $79.98. I called them about this and asked what this extra $10 was for and the answer was "taxes" which by the way I never saw in the original advertised e mail I received for the trial. SO when questioned about what taxes they told me:

5.07% "State tax" rate +

2.37% Gross receipts tax rate

7.44% "State tax" + the gross receipts tax = "Florida CST"

As you can see, this includes a State tax.

But, additionally, you are also subject to local taxes as determined by your ZIP code, 32927. The taxes for this ZIP code according to the spreadsheet found at the above link are 5.420%.

7.44% + 5.420% = 12.86%, resulting in the $78.99 charge you were billed when applied to $69.99.

I subscribe to NETFLIX and AMAZON PRIME and both are $15 per month with NO TAX at all.

I mentioned all of this to them but still they said no refund.

Please DO NOT get conned into getting HBO MAX. It's not worth it at all.

High price + not a lot worth watching + ads + poor customer service = worst streaming service. They have the worst customer service ever, mostly because HBO will hold onto your money no matter what. HBO makes a billing mistake and customer service agents have NO power to correct it. They will tell you to dispute it with your credit card company because HBO customer service isn't allowed to refund anything, ever, even to correct billing errors. So my great credit card company immediately pays me for the dispute on their dime and HBO gets to keep the money.
Thank you Citi! HBO knows if they don't correct their billing mistakes, they get to keep the money if your credit card company pays for small disputes out of their own funds. I truly despise greedy companies with impotent customer service and HBO is a fine example of such a company. Bye HBO! Btw, gotta say that Hulu has great customer service.

Hbo has really very poor selection of movies. I have the service for a week now and no good movies to watch anymore. I contacted them for refund as I paid for 6 months. I asked for refund for the rest of 5 months and they told me they have no refund policy so be careful and not pay for this service at all because it really not worth it. I joined to them just to watch the new wonder woman and it is not there. This their response:

HBO MAX is the worst streaming service. First the initial offer says $69.99 for six months but then when you look at your credit card statement they’ve charged you $79.99 and when questioned they say it’s Some kind of tax but no one can say what kind of a tax it is. I live in Florida and tax here is 7% but $10 is a lot more than 7%. Then look at when they offer. 30 year old movies. Loads of cartoon series. Loads of age old series. All total junk. Take my advice and give the $69.99 to a bum on the street

My experience with HBO has been quite satisfying since childhood, But during the fall of years I've lost interest. But I'll still go with 3 Star rating.

While HBO doesn't provide an excellent service, it's still good compared to Netflix.

Absolutely horrible service. Your watch list will disappear after spending hours adding movies and shows.

SUPPORT SUCKS they are worse than the cable company. Don't waste your time, spend your money with a better network
