Had an amazing evening with Haunting Nights in Manningtree Suffolk . Matthew Hopkins Witch Finder General . Haunting Nights held a really interesting and fun evening , Paul had so much knowledge and passion for the subject of Matthew Hopkins which made the evening even more interesting . In my opinion this ghost hunting company are the best around - they care about their guests and really go all out to make sure your evening is special - and it was .

What a night.
My partner and I went to the true crime museum night and we were not disappointed! The amount of activity that happened was incredible and even having personal experiences with loved ones popping in got everyone emotional. The sceptics that came in left with more belief in their systems too. The hosts were amazing and so lovely! We will definitely book a future night!

My late husband unexpectedly came through and I got some interesting messages from him, I also helped to channel the spirit of Reggie Kray. These experiences certainly yield results!
Great evening and I didn't get scared, I enjoyed the experience and would do it again. Well done folks on delivering a great Ghost Hunt at The True Crime Museum in Hastings!

Joined these guys for the 22.30-00.00 session at Pendle Hill on Halloween.

As a solo travelling female i am really pushing myself out of my comfort zone this year, and im really glad I attended. The team were really friendly, lots of banter, but also the respect for the history, and people that lost their lives is evident. That is the important part to me, and the balance was beautifully held.

100% would attend another event, and I belive my step sons mum is going to book him onto a junior session following my experience.

Had an amazing night at the ancient ram inn for Halloween .. Steve and woody amazing hosts . Would give them 40/10 if I could funny and made the night a great one .. top hosts !!

A very tense and unpleasant atmosphere between the two guides which possibly put any spirits off. A nice walk up a hill into a wood though. The guides didn't know too much about the Pendle Witch Trials which is a shame and somewhat disrespectful bearing in mind people were falsely accused and murdered on account of it. I've been on other ghost tours which have understood the area and spirits they are reaching out to so much more. Can't recommend,unfortunately.

My friend and I attended the Halloween interactive Pendle Witch Ghost Walk that took place on 31st Oct 2025 from 10:30pm till midnight.
Our first impression of the hosts was that they were both lovely people, very friendly and welcoming and had a sense of humour which definitely made me feel at ease from the start. Unfortunately my friend and I were 15 minutes late and we did feel like the Ab Fab Patsy and Eddie of the group as we were late and tripping up and the only ones wearing Halloween costumes ! Thankfully the group of people we met were all lovely and everyone was very friendly.
Once the group had reached the location where the ghost hunting activities would be carried out everyone stood around a large campfire which I must say looked great, someone had made an effort to make it look autumnal with placing pumpkins around it, its small things like that which make a difference to me.
We were given a brief explanation of the Pendle witches, who they were and what happened to them. It was enough though because we weren't there for a history lesson and I think if someone's going on a Pendle Witch Ghost Walk they would already know what the history is with the witches.
After this the ghost hunting activities began, to begin with we were shown how to use dowsing rods and then we all went off in pairs to do our own Q & A's with any spirits. This was a really exciting experience for my friend and I as we'd never used them before and was quite skeptical about them, but we were astonished at how much we could feel the energy from them and we absolutely did not do anything ourselves to make them move, it was bizarre how they reacted.
Then there was a group seance and although nothing spectacular happened we weren't disappointed with it at all, some of the EVP monitors were definitely reacting to something and because the whole atmosphere was friendly and fun we still enjoyed the experience of doing a seance. Another activity was a white noise machine and headphones which someone in the group wore and he couldn't hear anything that we were saying and he was listening to the white noise and then repeating what words were coming through the noise. Someone else tried to connect with any spirits and asked questions and it was quite bizarre when she asked a question and the guy with the headphones on randomly said out loud what he was hearing because it did appear to make sense and it seemed as if there was something communicating to him.
The whole event lasted an hour and a half and it certainly exceeded my expectations and I am definitely going to go to more events. The hosts were great people, very knowledgeable, friendly, funny and the atmosphere of the event was fantastic. My friend and I are going to attend more events held by Haunting Nights Ghost Walks as we felt comfortable with them and they were interesting people and I'm genuinely looking forward to meeting them again.
I would definitely recommend this ghost walk and feel that it was great value at £15 each.

I can't help wondering what some people expect to get when they're only paying £15 for a 90 minute event. From reading some of the other reviews it looks like they're expecting a history lesson. Saying the hosts don't know much about the Pendle witches is ridiculous, as I said we were given a brief explanation of the Pendle witches but we weren't there for a history lesson... time is limited and there's a group of approximately 15 people all wanting to do some ghost hunting activities, what do people want, do they want the hosts to talk about the witches for 1/2 hour just for them... jeez there's so much information available online about the witches that the whole 90 minutes could have been spent discussing it all with the group, but we weren't there for that. The hosts on my event on 31/10/25 at 10:30pm definitely knew the history of the witches, but they also knew they were managing a group of people who were there to experience some ghost hunting, they weren't there to babysit someone who wanted a history lesson, to say the hosts were disrespectful is ridiculous, it is them who are disrespectful, they should've done their own research on the witches beforehand. They paid £15 and if they were on the same event as me at 10:30pm 31/10/25 then they received £15 worth of an experience. There was a real fun atmosphere on the event I attended, if someone was on the same event and says otherwise they're full of shit.
Update... The person who gave a 2* complaining review was in the same group as me. Absolutely ridiculous to say there was a tense atmosphere between the hosts. Totally untrue, I'm literally gobsmacked with her comments.

Went on the pendle witch walk last night was a brilliant night will defo be going on more of these adventures great group of people fantastic hosts we all had a fab evening

Another Fantastic night with this company. I did Hexham jail back in April and I did Ripon Workhouse and old Jail on Saturday night. Again was well structured and did various techniques throughout the night . Again it wasn't over booked was just 3 groups. So lovely to see Dave and Emma again who hosted the jail at Hexham. And there also was Sarah and Jeff who were great also . For me highlight was the condemned cell in the jail and the guardians room in the workhouse both had my heart racing . Love the fact you get your own time as well we all did a mass spirit box in the guardians room and Dave and Emma were only to happy to help out in our time rally are great hosts .
My only gripe is you only do Hexham and Ripon in the north east area there's so many great venues and now I've been with you guys I don't really want to go with any other company as I love how you run your events please can you look into more places in my area .

Really enjoyed our experience at the Poltergeist House in Rotherham. David and Amy were excellent hosts. The whole night felt very organised and as a couple who haven’t been on many of these nights or investigations, we thoroughly enjoyed it. The use of equipment was great and I never felt as though they were faking anything and masking it as paranormal activity.

Would love to go on another investigation with this pair as hosts again.

Our paranormal team leaders, Woody and Steve, are truly exceptional. They are such lovely, welcoming men who are incredibly knowledgeable about both the historic building and the paranormal investigation equipment.

Beyond their expertise, they created a wonderful atmosphere. We were provided with a generous variety of snacks and beverages and immediately felt comfortable and at ease in their presence. Both were extremely polite, genuinely friendly, and hilarious—it felt like we had known them for years!
Woody and Steve were attentive throughout the evening, constantly checking in to make sure we were okay during experiments. The entire evening was wonderfully relaxed. We were actively encouraged to use our own equipment and were given an hour of free exploration as well as time beforehand to get our bearings in the building.

We highly recommend them for your next ghost hunting adventure! We're so sad it's over, but we will definitely be back for the next one!

Really enjoyed our first ghost hunting night at Ripon Workhouse. The whole team were brilliant at explaining everything. Highlight of the night was definitely the punishment room in the prison (lots of activity) We'll definitely be booking another one.

Had an absolutely amazing night last night at the Ancient Ram. Been on my bucket list of destinations for a while. It was led by Woody who is very knowledgeable and a friendly guy. I had so many experiences last night from a trickster spirit wanting to solely communicate with me on the ouija board to a stone being thrown next to me and an audible growl heard by my own ears when we was doing the human pendulum in the barn!! Absolutely delighted with everything the Ram has shown me! Will definitely be booking our next block of hunts with HN!!

Being a spiritual believer and having been to two of these ghost tours they are offering I can say the experience as a whole is absolutely amazing. The staff are wonderful and make the night 10x better. A huge credit to the team is Amy and David they are absolutely amazing

I’m so so glad we booked this, I can’t get over the Ouija board session our small group had in the attic at the Four Crosses last night. I genuinely didn’t expect my skeptic partner to come away from this thinking any differently, but I think even I hadn’t realised how pessimistic I had become regarding the board. Thank you to the team, you really were committed to making sure we had genuine trustworthy experiences, a really respectful and enjoyable evening! Can’t wait to do another one with you all!

What a brilliant night ghost hunting at the Four Crosses Pub Cannock. The team are great and really made the experience, the night was so much fun and interesting. Would definitely recommend

This was our 2nd time ghost hunting and 2nd time with David and Amy
We find this company to be one of the best we have ever used and we will certainly be booking more.
The whole night was good lots of activity in and around the site and lots of unexplained things.
We like how the groups get mixed around during the night too.

Really fun night with David, Amy and Rachel at Thorne workhouse, Doncaster.. As a few in our group were skeptics, we went along to be proved wrong, but also we had a lot of giggles and spooks. Thoroughly enjoyed and the hosts were really lovely and made the night interesting .

Was our first ghost hunt and thank god we went to Woodchester. Stones being thrown, oujia board communication. Table tipping. Was exciting to be there

Absolute fake from start to finish . Spoiled our time at Jedburgh jail . Jackie and Hannah was the team . I asked from start could I use my own item yes was the reply no bother they went down stairs doing ouiga board so I asked to go upstairs off I went 5 mins in I was told turn your stuff off its interfering with the groups board ... wow so I packed up went down stairs and listened to the group and Jackie says who there anybody male or female or diverse OMG really diverse spirit .... then loads screaming spider someone shouts Jackie get the glass and put it over it mid drift into talking to spirits .... there was a single male there who always disappeared when Hannah or Jackie disappeared and was always willing to volunteer for everything seemed odd also when members of the group asked questions about the jail was met with short abrupt answer dnt know at this moment or ask later ... 2 and half hours in it was time to go and we wasn't the only couple to leave at the same time with the same conclusion... we have booked with another company we usal go with for the new year as we have been told Jedburgh is a good place but was spoiled by fakers sorry had to be said
