Oh dear !!

Oh dear !!
Shame on you Harratts .
So polite courteous and friendly when taking your hard earned cash 💰 Our lovely new Dacia Sandero comfort car has had a few issues and we have been back in touch regarding same to be able to rectify these . Of course we went straight to Harratts where we have a signed contact with them only to be told that they can no longer help us because they have had a fall out with Dacia !! The staff are really expertly trained on passing the buck and wool pulling over your eyes . When a scary symbol came up on the dash on Saturday telling us not to drive the car as doing so would likely damage the vehicle!! Even with this in mind we were told to drive immediately to Dacia in Barnsley which is 40 miles away from where we live . We can’t understand why a vehicle that has a Renault engine can’t be looked at by the Renault dealer you gave your money to !!
So dissapointing. One lady said that I was talking to her as though she was an idiot !! She said that , not me — the customer. Very Poor. Keep away is my advice.

Happy chippy Dave the salesman at…

Happy chippy Dave the salesman at ponterfract has just sold a car so he’s done good. Price was t negotiable at all. Not even £50 for fuel. Fine. Got the car home on closer inspection the valet wasn’t much more than a Hoover (dirty windows and sweet wrappers under the seat). Dusty too. Sold with a service and 120 point, right… had to take it back in at my cost due to tracking being miles out and vibration to the steering wheel so they could rectify it. Had to take it back to them as it’s warrant is with them and needed a closer look as the whee haven’t been taken off. With a service and 120 point check, I know…anyhow wast a day and fuel 150 mile round trip really as the mechanic said he’s adjusted the alignment but all cars pull to the left. Get back on the motorway and car still pulls across all 3 lanes with a shaker steering wheel. I would defiantly be sure you happy with the car before paying and driving away. Harrotts won’t be my first port of call for my next, nor will I be recommending them for £50 as I don’t believe they will honour it. I highly doubt the service and check done too.

Took my car today to Harratts Wakefield…

Took my car today to Harratts Wakefield Nissan which was booked in for a software upgrade on the Nissan Connect Dab radio system.
Unfortunately I had got the dates wrong and the appointment was actually next Friday @ 09:30 not today.
Due to a serious medical condition I am at the hospital on that date, I explained my situation to a lady and gentleman on the service desk (sorry I can’t remember your names) who were sympathetic and very caring to my needs and advised they would do their very best to help me get the car done today.
They had a word with the guys/gals/mechanics at the back and all agreed they would help.
Couple of hours later I got the telephone call to say car is fixed.
Congratulations all at Harratts Nissan Wakefield for going far and beyond to help someone in need, this was so much appreciated.
Many Thanks again
Martin

Helpful UNTIL the sale goes through!

Male assistant was very helpful - until I paid up!! Then downhill and suddenly no reply and one excuse after another..

Once the car was delivered, (which is driven by a driver by the way, therefore subject to extra miles being added without it even being discussed with the paying customer not to mention this driver returns back to wakefield by the cheapest method possible, therefore when one pays for return mileage at approx £1 per mile - its another rip off

There was an error on the documentation(the documents are handed over by the delivering driver - therefore there is no way the customer can check his/her details are correct before delivery) noted as soon as I was given them by the delivering driver - i pointed this out and he replied I had to take it up with the male salesman who served me - this salesman was now useless - he’d made his sale and was no longer interested in any problems he had caused

Would not buy from them again and would NEVER recommend them.

Poor service and customer care, zero customer care post purchase
It shouldnt be allowed.

Would highly advise to stay away unless you like disappointment and not being listened to.
Terrible

Bought a vauxhall astra, oh dear

Bought a vauxhall astra. Few minor issues, constantly passed from staff member to staff member with promises of callbacks that never came. Resorted to email and eventually sales guy got back to me. Sorted out repairs. Happy days.... Well not really, 3500 miles later, brakes failed. This from a car that was supposedly MOT'd with no advisories. How you can go freshly MOTd to 3.5k to brake fail, is beyond me. Garage obviously cut corners for sales. Of course, posted this review on another site, and they phoned me the next day. Missed the call. Phoned back, but usual.... Someone will call you back... Never happened. No messages left. Dire customer service. Want to risk your own life and your kid's life, like I did, this is the garage for you.

Caution

Hi all
I hardly review but i am so disappointed with renault Wakefield.
They have not once contact me to apologise or come up with a solution with the vehicle they sold me totalling 19k. The van was absolutely filthy. I spend 4 hours that night cleaning the vehicle. I live far away from the dealerships otherwise i would have returned the van.

When i got back from the 4 hour journey. I opened the bonnent to see there was no engine coolant in the expansion vessel. The drivers door is out of alignment. So is proud of the body work. The engine bay looked like it had been in a sand storm.
The break peddle is soft and needs bleeding. The valeter must have a slap dash attitude.
Light scratches everywhere. This is easily polished out. The interior was disgusting. I had to pop each vent cover off to get all the dust out of the vents.

No im not exaggerating.

There clear is no pride taken.
I have rang the dealership multiple time to get some sort of response or a okay we will get this sort but absolutely nothing.
Just passed around or told they understand. They also wouldnt be happy with the way it was sold.
All of these do nothing to resolve the problems.
No real initiative.
I would expect professionalism all the way and a van that is clean looking almost new. Instead it was like buying it off a rouge dealer.
£19k is alot of money and for it to be pushed aside like it is acceptable is an absolute disgrace.
So im left with multiple problems to address and more money. When it has come from a renault main dealer. That should address all these problems. Absolute joke.
Im not the person to moan or get keyboard happy this is exactly what happened.

They may reply to this say i turned up early to pick the van up thats why it was not properly cleaned. I was 15minutes early. I spent 4 hours cleaning it. Simple maths will tell you 15 minutes isnt long enough. Also they knew a week before.

Cheers

Disgusting service and company ,sold me a car that has numerous issues also knowing this would have children in it also and lied about it having a service when it’s not been checked at all before selling .brake pads worn etc ,warning lights coming on and best they said was we will plug it in and turn all these lights off ! Poor service ! Lost a good sale and should have opted to fix all errors in order to not lose the money ! Do not recommend

Snowy collection

Recently p/x my citroen Berlingo for a Dacia Logan. They gave me quite a reasonable deal and everything was arranged. This was done on the phone without seeing the vehicle. All was Ok except the weather turned to snow and it took 2 hours to do the last 1.6 miles. The car was ready for me but I had to clear off 3" of snow before I could drive away safely. Within 2 miles the tire gauge sensor came on and a further 5 miles on the low fuel gauge light came on, so had to go to nearest motorway services to sort out . I had been told that there was enough petrol to get me home. There was not, and as the car had been serviced they must have forgotten to check the tyres. I also noticed that the mileage was 1200 miles more than advertised. But apart from those points the car seems fine and I am happy with it. So do not buy a car in the snow and check it before driving it home (95 miles)
