I have spent a small fortune at the local Harbor Freight store and joined Inside Track to be made aware of deals and discounts. I received notice of a deal today, so I went to the store to purchase... See more

Harbor Freight has a policy that is…
Harbor Freight has a policy that is designed to stop people from buying tools using them and then returning them.
However for people that buy tools in an honest manner you fall victim to this policy if your not careful. I purchased 2 pumps in the Claremont NH store they warned me if the pumps were used and not defective they can not be returned. They opened the boxes to show me they are brand new in original packing.
The pumps were not the correct ones for my use. THEY NEVER CAME OUT OF THE BOX I returned them to the Keene NH store and they charged me for the boxes being opened. $56 dollars because the other store opened the boxes. The manager said I can see they are brand new and never taken out of the boxes but TOO BAD the restocking fee applies. So they lost my business which the manager said he does not care. DONT BUY HERE they are worst retailer for customer service and peddle mostly low quality tools made in China.
They sold me a defective tool
They sold me a defective tool. I brought it back. I wanted my money back, but they charge me the 20% restocking fee. What a joke.
2300 Lebanon Pike
2300 Lebanon Pike, Nashville, TN 37214
rude and ignorant Workers, I asked a simple question
about location of some item, he acted like he was deaf and mute, just walked and pointed the place to me reluctantly, and walked away no respect for customers, it did not faze him a bit I was customer!!!!????
How the hell any business stays open in Nashville? with this type of throwback backward ignorant people. You guys definitely not getting my money
I happily left this place, without buying anything.
This store is a scam at this point
Used to love this store, but changing my review after being charged a restocking fee on a BROKEN product. Bought it, didn't work as described, returned it WITH receipt and was charged a $40 restocking fee. This was NOT mentioned when I purchased it from the store nor was there a sign on/near the item. If there is a restocking fee this NEEDS to be mentioned BEFORE I purchased. I generally don't return items but this was a pricier item and it didn't work. After this I feel like this store is not honest and I will not be shopping here again.
I tried talking to customer service who claimed this was on the receipt and on their website - which is great except I shopped IN STORE and it's not shown on my receipt until AFTER purchase - as in I had no way of knowing about this until AFTER the purchase. Never trusting this company after this scam.
By doing a simple 16 question survey
By doing a simple 16 question survey, I was going to receive a floor scrubber for the freight charges only but they keep denying my credit cards and I’ve used five different ones so far and they’ve declined all of them for absolutely no reason whatsoever, but to steal my information and sell it to someone else Jerks
I have been buying tools from HF for…
I have been buying tools from HF for years. In a nutshell. The higher priced power tools like Bauer Ext, the parts that rust or wear out. are not available like the electric drain cleaner, you can buy the cable but the adapter cable it connects to, that rusted the worst is not available with no exceptions. Hand tools the dull black is too brittle and will snap off. the chrome tools are too soft and will twist or round off. If you want a tool to last more than a year don't buy harbor Freight.
I bought a 2 gallon sprayer
I bought a 2 gallon sprayer, it wouldn't pump up but no leaks, after working on it for an hour it finally worked for about 5 minutes, it was only $14.00 but still I expected it to work more than 5 minutes, took it back to store along with receipt and was told since it was opened I couldn't return it, I don't really know how you could tell it didnt work without opening it. I left it by the register on the floor and told them they could throw it away.
I'll never go back.
Purchased an obd11 code reader that did not work
Purchased an obd11 code reader that did not work so I exchanged it for a second one that also did not work. Because I did not want to waste my time trying third time I was charged a restocking fee.
After being a long time customer I will never shop at harbor freight again.
DO NOT GET CREDIT CARD BEWARE!!!!
HORRIBLE! Very misleading. I received a promotion to open a credit card and get 24 months of interest-free financing, plus a discount on a purchase of over $2,000. They charged me $66.00 interest on the very first bill. When I called to inquire about the interest charge, I was assured I had 24-month interest-free financing, and they waived the fee. I asked if it would be corrected to prevent future charges, and I was told yes. However, my next bill had a $53.00 interest charge. Upon messaging them again, I was informed it was a mistake, and I was only eligible for one deal, either the discount or the 24-month interest-free option. I questioned why this was not communicated to me last month. They had previously confirmed the 24-month interest-free benefit when I placed the order over the phone. Had I known, I would not have proceeded with the offer. As a result of this poor customer service and very misleading information, I have paid off the balance and intend to cancel this card immediately. I advise others to BE AWARE. I'm grateful I could pay off the balance; otherwise, I would have been stuck paying significant interest, making it not worth it. I'm a very disappointed and dissatisfied customer. NEVER GET A HARBOR FREIGHT CARD. It's a scam. They tell you what you want to hear, and once they have you, they charge what they want, leaving you with no recourse.
I have been shopping at Harbor Freight…
I have been shopping at Harbor Freight for years. Today i made a mistake about the employees. I said:
It's curious that Nearly all men shop here, yet Harbor Freight choses to hire nearly all Females. Usually about 90% women. I spent $200 and left. Came back to buy another $200 item. She [manager] found excuses to not help me.
When I was at the check out station she said said to me. "Some women get offended about sexist comments"
that put a burr under my saddle. I replied, "I have no problem with women working here. I just thought it was curious that management hires mostly women for store management."
Her rely, "Well I'm offended!"
These were fighting words to me. Being 83 year old disabled Vet. I replied: "That is your problem, not mine. I have no problems with the situation h here I was just noticing that few men are work here in a store where mostly men shop."
"Well i don't like you comment that Women shouldn't work here."
"I never said that."
"Well you offended me!"
"Not my fault if you are sensitive to this subject. I have no Problem. I you have a problem, that is you problem not mine. I love everyone and don't take sides."
She walked away.
So did i after spending my last $200 with Harbor Freight.
Bought a 20 Gallon Oil tank at the Bristol CT Store
Bought a 20 Gallon Oil tank at the Bristol location in CT.
When I brought it home and put the wheels together. I noticed that the tank leans to one side. It rolls unevenly on the floor. Very dangerous once it becomes full of oil. It can tip over, hurt someone and cause a mess. The store will not work with customer to give a discounted rate for the annoyance. I called the customer number and spoke to Olivia at customer service. She stated to fill out an online warranty claim form to get my money refunded since the store won't take it back because it's in the pumps and sprayers category. I filled out the form. I received an email days later that my claim is denied. Harbor freight has the worst customer service that I've ever dealt with.
I had to pay 20% restocking fee for a faulty product
I bought a $250 paint spray gun (Avanti Airless Paint Sprayer) to make my project a little easier. I searched reviews and the one I chose had a great reviews and looked to be the most efficient. Well, I purchased it and the next day while assembling it, discovered there was a defect in the spray gun. the filter was stuck in the handle. I called tech support and spent a good 40 minutes and then was told it was faulty and they could send me another which would take 5 days to arrive. I waited. When the new gun came in, I attempted to use it and again, it was faulty. I called tech support and they walked me thorugh possible issues all of which I'd already tried.
Then they told me to watch some videos on YouTube and thier website- none solved my probelm. They advised me to exchange or return it. I returned the paint sprayer. I spent hours trouble shooting, it used half a gallon of paint and made a mess, and I spent another 45 minutes cleaning and repackaging it up for return. Well, they charged me a 20% restocking fee even though their product was faulty. And here's the kicker: Why would they restock a faulty piece of equipment? Well- I won't be going there anymore. I spent too much on wasted supplies and time only to be slapped in the face. Harbor Freight Tools really sucks.
Long line while the register was…
Long line while the register was completely tied up with a customer problem. All other 3 registers were closed. 3 employees standing around and doing nothing. Manager walked out and ignored the long line. When I spoke aloud so all the customers could hear me complaining about the long wait time and why don't they open another register ... a security guard came over and stood 10 feet away watching me. I spoke very polite and asked a question that all the customers wanted to hear the answer to. The answer came from an assistant manager who asked me, sir, have you ever worked retail before? I am done with Harbor Freight..... cheap prices yes, but also extremely cheap customer service that Security is ready to defend!!! Tucson Arizona on Valencia Drive.
LGBTQIA2S night club
My Chico Ca store looks like a LGBTQIA2S night club. The first thing I saw walking in was an employee with blue hair, piercings and tats and the other a Trans person playing a mouth harp. It was disgusting. While playing the mouth harp he/she was touching my items I was purchasing. Where's the manager?
False advertising and straight up…
False advertising and straight up lying. The big ad for this weekend was 15% off any item in store or online with NO EXCLUSIONS in big red letters. In reality, once you bring up the actual coupon, there are several exclusions including already discounted items or anything that is reduced due to being in their little club. This is Trump style deception, which doesn't surprise me. I get the feeling from talking to store employees that the whole organization is based on lies. It's bad enough that the support so much overseas manufacturing, but then to lie to both customers and employees and then telling employees to perpetuate the lies is just scum. This deception can not go unchecked.
They sell you trash and refuse to refund
They sell you trash them refuse to refund you. It's the only way they can sell garbage that even the Chinese reject. When you try to return the trash they refuse you and call you a thief. I will stick to Amazon from now on. No hassell and easy return.
I was abused there today and vow to never return and to spread the word till the day I die
Wont replace any tools or batteries…
Wont replace any tools or batteries they advertise as if you can but theybfind ways to not replace their bad products.
I bought a Pittsburg 2 ton hydraulic…
I bought a Pittsburg 2 ton hydraulic rapid pump jack. Shortly after I bought it, I used it to lift up my ‘13 Acura RDX turbo and one of the rotating wheels broke off. I also got the extended warranty. I was given the information on how to make my claim because they didn’t have the part in their store and they said, “good luck but your warranty expires today.” Well I called their customer service dept, I spoke with Chris and they went ahead and honored the warranty for me and sent the wheel and circular rubber to me at no charge and the shipping was also covered. I’ve read several reviews and this one should be one that brings back what customer service be it was a good experience and give this guy Chris a raise he deserves it

Harbor Freight recall chop saw…
Harbor Freight issued a recall on the safety guard for their 12 inch Chicago Electric miter saw. Without specific documentation they won't honor the recall. Who the heck keeps sales receipts for years? Offered no option to even purchase the right guard.
Totally disappointed that they will leave my fingers at risk...
