Impressive translations
I must say - the translations are superb! I'm impressed. I use AI translations for subtitles for my video projects and I am surprised at how minimal "fixing" I have to do afterwards! It says that machine generated translations are about 88% accurate, but I've experienced almost 97% . I also use for Greek translations and that's quite impressive too - not as good as English, but still very high accuracy! The customer service is excellent too - I get a reply immediately and the explanations to help me are very clear. 10/10 guys!

The mp3 file reducer was horrendous
The mp3 file reducer was horrendous, first did a batch of short mp3 files smallest compression. After i listened it was so bad that i tried "best balance" which was as bad, with loud squeaks. I did also do a trancript which looked ok but for the waste of time and unsubscribing 2 stars is even 1 star too much but that is for the transcript which looked ok, but did not cheque if correct as for the 10 min limit. For happy scribe it was an Ai voice that i compressed.

A couple of things worth flagging: AI-generated voice files can sometimes produce artefacts like the squeaks you described when compressed at lower bitrates, especially shorter clips. That isn't an excuse, just context. We'd really like to take a closer look at the files you ran through.
Could you send the original and compressed files (or just the file IDs) to support@happyscribe.com? We'll dig into what went wrong and get back to you. And we're glad the transcript itself looked accurate, that's at least something to build on.

HappyScribe would put many audio recordings into text, put in perscise positions, and would help translate the text in any language. which had helped me a lot with my classwork assignments.

Fantastic service and transparent packages
Honest and transparent about their packages and what is included. They give you a 10 minute free trial for transcription so you understand how the software works and if it works well or not - and it does work very well! It is easy to use and very straightforward, and you even have a function to extract quotes that works very well.
The AI generates transcripts are in almost perfect condition, and there are virtually no mistakes in your transcript unless your audio files mention names, organizations, or words in another language (some of which the software actually also translates well).
Moreover, it is GDPR-compliant (from what I understand), so very good for research.
I definetly recommend it.

A few specific things worth picking up on:
Pricing transparency is something we push hard on internally, so it's nice to hear it lands that way externally too.
The quote extraction feature is a relatively new one and we're really pleased it's working well for you, that's exactly the kind of use case it was built for.
You're spot on about names and organisations being the trickiest part. Our custom vocabulary feature (Glossary) can help with that if you ever want to give it a go on recurring terms.
And yes, HappyScribe is GDPR-compliant. We're also ISO 27001 compliant, which matters for a lot of research teams.

Only 10 mins before paywall
Kind of dumb that for your first test, you can only get 10 minutes of a recording translated. Honestly, for the time it took to create an account and agree to the permissions, it was a waste of my time to get only 10 minutes of a translation out of it. Maybe it's good if you pay the $8.50 Euros/mo, but I just wanted to see if it was worthwhile and couldn't complete that task.
