I saw the Guardfather video on Youtube by co-incidence.
I was impressed it looked easy to install, simple, the right price and what I was looking for.
The basic package was more than enough. I didn't purchase a siren or garden detector,
The installation was simple following the video Simon has created. I chose to drill to fix, excpet on the door where 3M seemed an easier option.
The delivery was very quick I'd say the day after I ordered it. The components seem sturdy and well made.
Set up no problem as I say, I was contacted to see if all was ok. I had a simple question for which an explanation which was rapidly forthcoming.
I see this system as a deterrent. I dont have many valuables, I wanted 'something rather than nothing at all'. This fits that need.
There is a feature to isolate the upstairs and have the downstairs on only for might time usage.
The customer service is excellent.

I can’t recommend Simon highly enough. I was dealing with a very stressful alarm issue and had no idea how to reset it or what the code was. Simon was incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and talked me through everything step by step in a clear and reassuring way. Thanks to his expert guidance, we got the alarm sorted quickly and perfectly — panic over and problem solved.

I only noticed guardfarther on YouTube though Simon’s videos when looking for an alarm system. From first post on contact to instalment Simon has been easy to take to and get in touch with day or night. If anyone’s looking for a system I would 100% recommend guardfarther. The whole experience has been first class.
I was looking for a new wireless security system and investigated a number of different vendors (Yale / Simplisafe) and was recommended to review the Guardfather.
The communication with Simon was excellent so we purchased the “bundle” with an additional external siren & PIR sensor. The kit arrived the next day and we then installed this a day later and it was all done in 2hrs, the step-by-step you tube videos were very easy to follow and the post install support has been great.
The correspondence with the support team is very quick.

The system has been in for 5-days and so far so good!…👍🏻

Simon helped me install a keypad for my house alarm and he was fantastic! He explained everything clearly and guided me through each step with patience and support. His expertise and passion for what he does really show, both in his helpful videos and his courteous, prompt replies. Definitely recommend him for any security issues and tips!

After 35 years my old wired alarm gave up the ghost and I decided to replace it with a wireless system. After looking around as to what was available. My criteria were as follows. Keyfob enabled arm and disarm - external sounder with L.E.D continuous switchable display-- simplicity of operation and most importantly ,ease of d.i.y installation One product stood out to me The Guardfather alarm system the reason being the owner of the company has a series of videos covering the full installation and setting up of the alarm on youtube . After watching the installation vids several times I decided to purchase a custom system using the advice contained in the videos.

The system arrived by next day tracked delivery and after downloading and registering the Guardfather app I proceeded to install the quality components ,and using the videos provided it was so easy to install. The system already has the basic settings from the get go but everything is adjustable using the app to individual requirements

I cannot recommend this product highly enough for installation and ease of use aftersales advice are second to none , Highly recommended

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING.

The system itself I was sold on before it arrived and to be honest, I was not dissapointed. However, when we had a couple of minor problems with the install, it was the lightning fast support from Guardfather that really assured me we had make the right choice with this system.

Dispite the couple of minor problems we had, it worked right out of the box, was easy to install, and offered a range of additional features I would only expect to find on a suystem costing 2 or 3 times what we paid for this.

I honestly can not recommend both the Guardfather system and the support team enough.

Purchased my alarm system and have had it up and running a few days now. The system is pretty easy to set up and everything works really well out of the box. I used the what’s app number also, having had a small problem with a detector and our cat, but all cleared up within minutes thanks to Simon.
Overall, great product, great customer service. Couldn’t be more pleased with my purchase.

I have been looking for a DIY alarm system for a while and I came across Guardfather security. I've never heard of this company before and I looked into it and some some research. I previously had a DIY alarm system and it was hard to set up.

I got in touch via email to ask a couple of questions and Simon got back to me straight away, even after working hours. I always prefer a smaller company as the customer service is excellent. Simon answered all my questions and I then purchased the system.

Installing the system was so easy, the app is straight forward to use and really simple to add the components to the hub.

I did have a problem with the hub initially, but like with all electronic items these things happen but got in touch via the number provided and the problem was solved asap.

I have tested the system multiple times and it works amazing and my home feels safer.

Customer service is excellent and the alarm system is excellent, I would 100% recommend this system to anyone, I have already showed my friends and family and they are considering buying it as well.

Very pleased with the alarm system, Very quick to setup and easy to use won’t hesitate to order other items as and when needed!

I found this company after doing a google search for alarm companies, after watching all the you tube videos I was impressed by what I’d seen enough to place a tailor made order with them. Fast delivery and everything accounted for. The installation was easy and very quick. This is exactly what I needed and I’m WELL IMPRESSED with the results. That siren is very loud and the outdoor sensor on low setting is very efficient. Thank you Simon 5* product and 5* service

Great range of accessories for the alarm system. Just added the smoke detector this time. The system is so flexible we can alarm the garage and back garden in the evening whist the house alarm is not activated. Great peace of mind and high quality. Definitely recommend

Amazing alarm and even better support!

I’d been researching wireless DIY security systems for a while and came across Simon’s videos on YouTube. They convinced me to try the Guardfather Security System and I’m so glad I did.

The setup was genuinely easy. The video tutorials walked me through everything step by step and I had the whole system up and running quickly. When I had a couple of questions, the customer support was outstanding. Fast replies, clear guidance and it really felt like they cared about helping me get everything right.

The equipment feels solid and well built. Nothing cheap or flimsy. You can tell a lot of thought has gone into the design and quality. I feel properly protected now and I’m absolutely made up with my decision to go with Guardfather.

Sorry, a long review!

Looking into an existing Texecom alarm system, and the problems we had with it, lead me to Simon’s videos on YouTube, as he talked about Texecom in some of them. He also mentioned Guardfather, that had recently been released and seemed to offer all that I needed (as I didn't like the Texecom system and it didn't work).

I wanted an alarm system that was modern and easy to set up and install myself. One that I could configure, adjust and extend easily so that it worked how I wanted it to work. I wanted a notification on my phone if anything happened. I didn’t want to be tied to a subscription, or to an alarm company.

I looked at various DIY alarm systems, but some just looked like toys. Many needed a subscription. Some seemed to lack functionality. Other wireless systems looked easy enough to set up, but it seemed like manufacturers didn’t want people to be able to purchase and install them themselves – you needed an alarm company.

Guardfather ticked all of the boxes. Ordering was easy and delivery was quick. It was straight forward to install and configure (with a lot of sensors), and it’s been easy to use. Every item came with a printed leaflet with full instructions and specification, plus there’s Simon’s YouTube videos to show you how to set it up too.

The hardware looks good - although the outside siren is a bit smaller than I expected. But it's still loud and I'm growing more used to it now.

The app is totally free, feature-packed and well-designed. You can check or change settings, arm/disarm the system, monitor battery levels, add new devices, and do lots of other things from the app. We also have a keypad for the alarm, but mostly we just operate it from the app.

A nice feature is that the various alarm states are colour–coded so that you can quickly check if it’s in the armed, stay or disarmed state just from the colour (red, blue or green).

We’ve got it all set up just as we want it, with notifications of events direct to our phones via app, email, SMS or phone calls. I can add more on later if required, it’s fully functional, and there’s no on-going costs for Guardfather.

It feels like it’s our system, not like we’re renting it from an alarm company as it might do if we had to have a subscription to use it or maybe needed it regularly servicing. We don't need someone to visit just to change batteries.

Guardfather support has always been on hand to quickly answer any questions or help with problems. Everything so far has been excellent and I would recommend Guardfather to anyone if they’re ok with doing a bit of DIY and configuring in an app.

Hopefully the range of available devices will expand soon so that we can add on a range extender (just in case), water sensors, etc.

I do wonder if many users still find themselves saying "Godfather" though...

I wanted to replace my old wired alarm. I did my research before I purchased my Guardfather alarm system. I asked Simon a few questions all answered promptly. The system is now installed all very easy with the helpful YouTube videos. All working as promised.I like that there is no subscription and the free app is easy to use.I cannot fault the customer service I have received from Simon he has certainly gone the extra mile. I would not hesitate to recommend the Guardfather alarm system. A very happy customer. Thank you

Returning customer back for some extras excellent service again

Hi just thought i would give some feedback.
I ordered a kit with enough add ons to cover two properties that we have that are next to each other. Four doors, two motion and two smoke alarms alongside the 4 keyfobs. Received a welcome email so I had already downloaded the APP before the kit arrived. Kit came at around 11.00am and I set all the bits and bobs up in around an hour. I made a plan and named the sensors on a peice of A4 paper to show where each sensor was going to be placed, this helped name them on the APP too. Took around another hour to screw,stick and make good the hardware. All worked out the box as expected and I would rate the quality off all the fixings and fittings and hardware that was supplied.
I bought this kit to replace a Yale set up we have had and so far am happier with the Guardfather kit for a number of reasons. One reason the Yale remotes are either easy to press in a pocket or you have to fiddle with a teeny tiny switch that switches the remotes off, the Gaurdfather ones are of a much better design. The Yale kit had issues with the App and also had battery back issues with the control unit from month 10 and we never really got it sorted fully, this clearly is early days for the Guardfather kit so fingers crossed we get a better life from the back up battery.
All in all the ease of set up, due to the easy-to-watch and follow video above has made this kit a doddle to fit and set up. Thanks very much and fingers crossed the cameras are not long in coming. Cheers. Paul Robbie, REVERSEE Ltd.

Great bit of kit, had a little issue with set up but the tech guys soon sorted it, quality product and reliable.

System works great, was easy to install snd the technical support line was very helpful.
