Bought a nissan 12 months ago we had nothing but trouble we were a couple of months without a car they didn't want to know never returned phone calls had to keep going to garage but never anyone there in authority to deal with problems. One of their ex employees put something on FB last week but was soon took it off. Let's see how long they last in downham this time

I've brought a Nissan quashqai from you 2 months ago, for the last 4 weeks with been without a car due to a issue that was found to be there before we purchased the vehicle contacted the garage and they have contacted warranty assist it's been over a week still haven't heard anything whatsoever will be taking legal action if this is not resolved
And also to add we then got a call from the owner telling us we are damaging his business and if we do not take down the reviews we will not be getting any help to pay £1500 of a car we brought 2 months ago for £4250

I would avoid this garage at all costs! I purchased a car at the end of February. When looking at the car the tyres looked very worn, one had a slow puncture and the battery was dead. The car was jump started and the tyre pumped up so I was able to take it for a test drive. It had been agreed that the car would have a new battery, be put through a service, MOT and inspection and any tyres needing to be changed would be, so I agreed to buy it and paid in full there and then. I was then contacted a week later to say the car was ready for collection. An hour before I was due to collect the car, the MOT was not online so I contacted the garage to check it had been done and was told it was on its way back and collection was fine to go ahead. MOT history was then straight away online, a pass with no advisories. I collected the car and the battery had been replaced which I was grateful for but the tyres were looking very worn. I expressed concerns and was told it had just been through an MOT which would have flagged up if they needed to be changed. Since collecting the car, I had to pump up the tyre with the puncture 3 times, this had obviously not been fixed. I contacted the garage to see if they could sort out a new tyre and I was ignored. I eventually got a response and they said to take it to be repaired and to bill them which I was grateful for. The car was taken to a reputable garage and whilst it was there it also went through a health check. This health check found multiple serious faults with the car, including badly perished tyres, leaking clutch, badly corroded discs amongst many other things (the health check was done only weeks after the car had 'passed' it's MOT). The car also stopped working completely on this day due to the clutch failing. I contacted GTJ cars with the report and video evidence of the problems with the car and GTJ said they will arrange collection of the car and they will have it inspected by someone without an 'agenda' as my mum works for the garage. I understand they may want to make their own checks on the car, but how can I trust they're taking it somewhere without an agenda? For this reason, I asked for the time, date and location of this inspection so I could send someone independent on my behalf to check everything is legit and I was ignored. Also, why would I want these issues with a car? It would be so much easier for me if the car was of good working order. The car took a week to be collected. I explained I didn't want a repair of the car and that I would like a refund as I was sold the car under false pretenses and I couldn't understand how it had so many issues, none of which even flagged up as an advisory on the MOT? I struggle to believe it was even put through a legitimate MOT. I'm also currently heavily pregnant and explained I can't trust that they would fix the car for me and trust that I could drive my baby around it considering I was told it was supposed to have passed with no advisories, had an inspection and a service and only weeks later had all of these faults which would have shown in an MOT. I have asked for their complaints procedure multiple times and have been ignored. I have sent formal complaint emails and letters and again been ignored. I have phoned to follow up and been told I would get a phone call/email back and I never have received any update at all since my car was collected. GTJ have had my car for almost 2 months with not a single update, I have no idea where the car is. I'm due to give birth in 3 weeks with no access to a car. I really wanted to avoid doing a negative review but it's getting beyond a joke now. They have the car and the money and this has now been going on for months. I'm having to take legal action to try and get my money back as I can't even get a response from them. I honestly cannot believe how awful their customer service is and this is honestly the last thing I need before I'm due to have a baby. I would save yourselves the stress and avoid this garage!

Short version: sold us a car that was substandard quality and not fit for purpose, then withheld our refund for almost a month, whilst having the car up for sale on their website again. Ignored all correspondence, only gave us our money back after making us remove previous 1 star reviews. Avoid at all costs.

Great experience buying from GTJ. Glen was very relaxed and let us look at several different cars in our own time and mull things over. No pressure or pushiness and very pleasant to chat to. Ended up finding a great car which they happily put MOT on and are valenting. All in all, very satisfied.
