Surely Zack has been unfairly vilified?

There have been accusations of shiftiness and dishonesty. Suggestions he resembles a ‘snake oil salesman’ and that he is cynically tapping into dangerous sectarianism without the slightest idea of what he is doing.
He has even been referred to as a ‘fairground chancer’ and a ‘political Del Boy.’

It is often said the electorate get the politicians they deserve.

Do we deserve Zack?

It’s a terrifying thought, but looking around? Maybe we do.

What is going on with the Green Party ?

What is going on with the Green Party ?

I joined recently and was bombarded with auto-emails asking for donations; 'bombarded'.

As I am in so poor a financial situation, contemplating selling property, I asked to speak to someone and explain my situation, but maybe I could manage £5 pm.

No reply.

Emailed candidates, and replied to those emailing me.

No reply.

I asked H. Ooffice if I could meet face to face with someone, and they sent a link to attend a meet up at 10:00 today. I got the dog minded, went into town on the bus.

No one was there, plus I got no reply to repeated calls to the organiser.

Eventually the Regional Returning Officer returned my call, and he was very helpful and faultless in his handling of my concerns. I feel some updating of the party's introductory infrastructure for new members is required.

A Party with a Vision for the Future!

I’m genuinely excited to see the Green Party's continued growth and success in recent elections! The Green Party UK is a breath of fresh air in British politics. Their commitment to tackling climate change, promoting sustainability, and championing social justice sets them apart from the mainstream parties.

I was particularly impressed with their bold policies that not only benefit the planet but also create jobs and strengthen local communities. It’s clear that they have a long-term vision for a fairer, greener future.

Their recent electoral victories are a testament to the hard work, dedication, and the trust people have in their message.

I’m excited for what’s to come and proud to support them!

The Greens and their scamming fees…

This Party has all the right aims and yet their organisation, particularly on the financial side, is a shambles. I applied to join and was shown the various membership costs. Being a 77 year old pensioner and on a low income, I agreed to the concessionary fee of £6 a year but offered a £10 donation.
Predictably they charged me £20 a month, or tried to. When I contacted them I got brushed off with the excuse that they were very busy and I heard nothing further. They’re very slick but there’s no seeming actual interest in the people who want to help.
Very dissappointing experience with their system that almost feels like a scam

GREENS - WAY FORWARD

Having seen the Deputy Leader of the Green Party shouting “God is great” in Arabic I have very great concerns about the direction this party is going in

Has this man been honestly vetted?

However, I do have to say that my village has an excellent Green Party Count Councillor who works extremely hard but Having read review after review I will not at this time consider voting for them until they have their house and leaders in line

Tameside Green Party - As bad as Trigger Me Timbers?

Shortly before the 2022 local elections Tameside Green Party posted on their Facebook page that one of their candidates had raised over £2600 for the local hospice. Whilst the Just Giving page shows that the candidate in question actually raised less than £250 including gift aid donations. Tameside Green Party subsequently removed the post from their social media but have never offered any form of explanation or apology for posting misinformation about a candidate, in the run up to an election. The candidate's husband who also stood as a candidate in the 2022 election, doubled down on the false statement and stated on social media that his wife had personally raised over £2600 When someone pointed out the amount mentioned on the Just Giving page, they were then publicly insulted by this candidate on social media, and when people complained to the leader of the Tameside Green Party about this, their complaints were completely ignored, even though at the time he was a local councillor in the ward where the complainants lived

Key members from Tameside Green Party received £500 funding from a local charity to set up a junior litter picking group to encourage children to become more active and to hold upcycling sessions. They pledged to hold six sessions on a weekly basis. The first litter picking session was held in March 2022, two other litter picking sessions were held later that year. The next litter picking session took place in March 2023 and the next and most recent litter picking session took place in Autumn 2024. During 2022 attempts were made to explain the irregular schedule of the sessions, due to volunteers' illness, which explains why individual sessions were postponed by a week or a month, which is perfectly reasonable However, the sessions now appear to have stretched out to only taking place every eighteen months, instead of weekly and no explanation has been made as to why the schedule has slipped, and there has been no explanation offered whatsoever. Looking at their election literature you would think it was a passion project for the organisers and the project held great potential. Unfortunately the project delivery seems lacklustre The upcycling sessions also seem to have been placed on the back burner as the only upcycling that appears to have happened during the sessions is that during the Autumn 2024 litter pick, they collected leaves to be made out of mulch.

Tameside Green Party have also failed to explain if safeguarding was considered when they chose as a candidate, someone who months earlier publicly posted on social media that someone was away on holiday, even asking for their post to be publicly shared, leading to the information being posted on groups that collectively had over 50k members. Other members of Tameside Green Party knew that this had happened, does the Green Party not believe in vetting candidates?

It seems that when the Tameside Green Party receive criticism rather than checking to see if the criticism is valid and using it to put things right and improve. They prefer instead to metaphorically shoot the messenger by posting defamatory statements about their critics' on social media. They seem to ignore that behaving in such a way could potentially incite violence within the community. They do not appear to make any attempt to fact check these slurs before reposting them, preferring to vilify rather than making any attempt to verify.

I tried corresponding with the Tameside Green Party, as I was one of the victims of a harassment and bullying campaign waged by several of their 2024 local election candidates. I complained about the false information that several of these candidates had spread about me online. Sadly, despite the Tameside Green Party's claims to have been supportive of me, no one has retracted any of the false information posted about me or offered any apology . They ignored the fact my complaint was about several members and in their response only referred to an individual, it took them several months to confirm the identity of this individual, they have never revealed why my complaints against other members and their leader were ignored. The person(s) who responded to me never revealed their identity, it is very difficult to believe that due process was followed

INEPT AND DANGEROUS

This party as with the other main stream parties can't be bothered to reply to questions asked of them. They have no clue and like the Tories and Labour, should not be able to run a country.

Incompetent, lazy and inept. That's just my local councillors.

My experience of Worcester Green party…

My experience of Worcester Green party is they can't build enough housing for gimmegrants yet can't get funding for my special education son. He can't go to school until September 2023. The Greens are as trustworthy as the Coventry building society who used a forged mortgage to steal an OAPs home. The court case caused him to stop eating and taking his medication. Coventry building society does it really take 10 years to show him the unsigned mortgage he never signed? Avoid Avoid Avoid

STOP POSTING LEAFLETS COATED IN PLASTIC

Like the comment below I have come on here to voice my disgust at receiving a postcard size leaflet through my letterbox campaigning for the Greens. It had a picture of the earth held in a pair of hands and was made from sustainable paper UNFORTUNATELY one side of the paper was coated in PLASTIC. Very bloody green I must say. I can't recycle that so it is now in the bin heading for landfill.

GREEN PARTY GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER

I received your Green Party's leaflet through my letterbox this afternoon and was very pleased to see that you had used sustainable paper, which showed a pair of cupped hands holding our planet which I thought was a very good idea until I realised that on one side of it, it was laminated in a coating of plastic!
The plastic NOT being recyclable has also tainted the paper so there are now hundreds of thousands of these leaflets that will be in landfill within the next few days.
SO WELL F.....G DONE GREEN PARTY, I WILL NOT BE VOTING FOR YOU AS YOUR BRAINS SEEM TO BE UP YOUR BOTTOM AND IF YOU CANNOT GET YOUR MESSAGE THROUGH CORRECTLY BY LEAFLET WHAT GOOD ARE YOU GOING TO BE IN PARLIAMENT?
