I see many on here have similar experiences. Good tutor but a very bad company to deal with.
on completion of our 36 month contract and after we disabled the auto renewal, They still renewed the contract for another 36 months. after i realised it too late they refused to cancel it.

I enjoyed with my students who needs help maths, easy to booking and access platform however payment is getting decreased so I am not happy with this so that’s why ı don’t prefer to take more students anymore.

The lessons are great and she is always really nice and amazing at teaching English!! Thanks so much Kiran .😊I also love our creative writing, spelling and our fun five-minute thesauruas.com time!

I do a niche exam board for English, making it hard to find resources for it. Jasmin Waked, my tutor made sure I had plenty of resources available and always made me feel like I could ask questions. Her teaching style is concise but informative, which helped me stay focused for the 50 min session and also learn. She made me feel more confident about my exams, due to her empathy and overall kindness.

Terry was an excellent economics tutor , he helped me not only secure and fully understand the foundations of the subject but explained the complex theories and exam technique in a simple and digestible way allowing me to feel much more confident in the subject. The sessions were always interesting and engaging . Highly recommended.

Whilst the tutor is good for my son the service of constant is really bad I have been with them for 1 year 4 months I told them I want to cancel now as my son is coming to end of exams and no longer need there service they won’t let me cancel and are charging me £124 a month saying I can’t cancel till Feb 2027 even though he no longer needs tutoring I don’t have any other kids I have been trying to cancel and ask for a call back since 11th May all I get is AI responses it’s actually quite disgusting

I had Terry as my tutor for economics. I have had over 10 tutors and I can confidently say that he is definitely the best. He is very kind and answers questions that you ask him. He also explains concepts very well and makes the lessons fun.

Terrence has been an exceptional AQA A‑Level History tutor, especially for the Tudors and Russia topics. He has a real talent for breaking down complex ideas clearly and making even the densest content feel engaging and enjoyable to learn.

His support with essay structure and exam technique made a huge difference to my confidence. Over time, my essays became far more analytical, and I finally started to understand interpretations properly, which was something I had struggled with before. I even began seeing clear improvements in my writing, which my school teacher also noticed.

What stood out most was Terrence’s teaching style: patient, supportive, organised, calm, and genuinely enthusiastic about the subject. He created a learning environment where I felt comfortable asking questions and motivated to improve.

I’m truly grateful for his help and would highly recommend Terrence to any A‑Level History student looking for a tutor who is both knowledgeable and encouraging.

I had the worst experience in my life with this tutorial company. The tutorial level was really low… and a lot of cancellations were done by the tutorials at the last moment ( very often not refunded). The worst part came after the contract expired as the company kept charging me without telling me because of automated renewal… NO RECOMMENDED

Lessons are easy to book and flexible, we have a fantastic tutor who my son engages brilliantly with and the whole offering is perfect for our requirements - I don't think the tutoring process could be any better!

Go student has been really helpful in the last 6 months leading up to my A-levels. By helping me to consolidate my knowledge and work on exam technique, I feel so much more confident for my exams and overall much more prepared. I couldn't recomend working with Terrence White enough if looking for an economics tutor. He tought me loads throughout our time working together and always mannaged to make our sessions light hearted and fun at the same time. I always looked forward to our weekly sessions not only for the learning but the conversation. :)

I would like to update my review as of today 10th June and firstly say thanks to Salmah from Customer Support team and Ben Godfrey, who replied promptly to my email. I am happy with how the below problem was resolved and also the cancellation of the membership was approved within a week. So, overall experience is quite positive, and I would use the website again for my daughter. As I said, I have nothing but amazing things to say for our Maths tutor Sam Forrest.
My only recommendation is the Memberships T&C to be explained in detail at the very beginning to customers.

"I signed up with GoStudent for a 9-month tutoring package for my son’s GCSE Maths preparation, consisting of 6 lessons per month. The agreement was for 9 months, which ended in May.

To my surprise, on 1st June I was charged again for another 6 lessons. At no point was it made clear to me that the membership would automatically roll over, so this unexpected payment came as a shock. With GCSEs finishing in just two weeks, I have no need for an additional block of lessons and certainly hadn’t budgeted for this money to leave my account.

I have contacted GoStudent requesting cancellation and a refund, and I hope the matter can be resolved quickly and fairly. I will update my review once I receive a response.

That said, I want to highlight that our Maths tutor, Sam, has been absolutely brilliant. He has been professional, supportive, and instrumental in helping my son prepare for his GCSEs. We have nothing but positive things to say about his tutoring.

Unfortunately, the unexpected charge has left a bitter taste and has overshadowed what was otherwise a very positive experience. I have been recommending GoStudent, however this will change now.. Hopefully this resolves quickly and I can update my rating once GoStudent reply."

Terry was an amazing economics tutor, he has real in depth knowledge about economics both at the school level with in depth knowledge about the course and specification but also about the economy of not only the UK but the world economy as well. I learnt many interesting facts and figuires from him, whilst also getting to know him personally. He never made the lessons feel as if I was in a classroom, rather they were discussions on the content. He was timely in marking my submitted essays and was always ready to provide feedback. I will defintely miss working with him, I have made real imrpovement in essay wriring and skills and knowledge over the past year. I would recomment the site as well as it is easy to navigate and good to use even when not in a session.

Chloe has been far more than a French tutor—she’s been a mentor. My daughter used lacked confidence in French but Chloe created an engaging environment and helped her greatly improve. She now actually enjoys French and did very well at her recent exams.
