meeting new people to play sports.

It’s a lovely way of meeting new people and playing sports. I have made close friends through this. And really enjoyed playing netball. However sometimes the communication from go mammoth can be poor, and there is no standard of quality of umpiring/referring.

Great Rounders League

Signed up to their rounders league in Victoria Park and I’ve had a lot of fun. Learned the rules of the game and the umpires have been great. Amazing value for money.

Highly recommend

So far it has been great. After joining a league I wanted to change to one closer to where I live and they were helpful and made it happen with no stress. The league has been really fun and I would defo recommend to anyone looking to meet some new people and take up a sport!

Appalling condescending customer…

Appalling condescending customer service. Lack of maintenance for the equipment they provide and when you complain to them it either goes unanswered or they gaslight you. They cancelled a league halfway through and they then tell you they will give you a discount only if you re-join for another season

Been part for 5 years, great experience!

I have been playing basketball with go mammoth in their mixed leagues for around 4 to 5 years now.
Generally the organisation and courts are great. It can be a bit tricky signing up for summer leagues as theres a lot of exams and schools cancelling but other than that its great!

Mile End Basketball

Have played Mile End Basketball since 2018. Come back regularly for the fantastic energy, great refereeing and competitive but fun environment GM have set.

Very poor customer service.

Very poor customer service.
I signed up for a football league, has not heard from them , left many emails, they replied on the day the league should have started that the league was cancelled….

I got a refund , so that’s good.

I was approached by email later to join another league with a “cheeky discount”, I wanted to join the league that was about to start 2 weeks later, asked about availability, again to no avail… got another email today with the dates in August and September for my locations … It’s just a waste of time and effort. seems like the players put more effort to sign up, then the organisers to manage the league.

Feel the fear and do it anyway!

I stumbled across Go Mammoth on facebook. I completely ignored it and laughed at the idea of me getting back into my first love of netball- 20+ years after being on a court. I did this ignoring, ignoring ignoring 3 times and then clicked the link. Before I knew it i had signed up to a team, league and matches with people I do not know...and then I forgot about it...until I was invited into a what's app group. 'Hi, we've all joined up to play netball via Go Mammoth...' Omg! What have I done rushes to the forefront of my mind, but I push down the fear and respond. 'I'll meet you all on Monday'. Monday arrives and I now realise I am no longer the teen that used to play centre position. I'm older, tired and nervous. I go anyway. I find the team. I'm NERVOUS. The butterflies have now travelled to my throat and I want to run away...but run on to the court. We have 4 quarters. We have professional umpires who are strict and knowledgeable and provide us their golden nuggets of wisdom. We win. We are buzzing. I've just met these women, a plethora of backgrounds, ages and abilities but my goodness did we all forget we didn't know each other 40minutes beforehand. I was buzzing! I couldn't sleep. I take pictures, I'm posting on socials and I go to sleep charged up on adrenaline and thinking what an awesome team I'm a part of. Long story short- FEEL THE FEAR AND DO IT ANYWAY! Yes its new. Yes its a bit daunting. But its also the best decision I've made for myself for a long time. Now I'm planning where I can practise and buy a netball. If you're considering it- just do it! I'm now looking at what other sports I can be a part of to get fit but also be a little more social shared by a common goal. I feel really fortunate that I've met the team I have...and hopefully we win the league. Best experience with Go Mammoth- easy to navigate, sign up, lots of clear communication and guidance on the site. HIGHLY recommend!

Where can I start...

Where can I start...

More than once, I’ve arrived at the pitch only to find the lights off, and no one could do anything to turn them on, so the game was cancelled after I was already there. Another time, the referee didn’t show up, and they only sent an email once we were already at the venue. We were never refunded for any of these issues.

The people who play football can get very aggressive, and when I asked the referee to please tell the other team to calm down, he told me I shouldn’t be playing football if I didn’t want to get hurt, even though these games are supposed to be friendly.

They also never respond to emails.

When you ask to have certain people added to your team, they often don’t do it, and you have to call multiple times to follow up.

I’m only giving them two stars because they have pitches in convenient locations around the city, but as an organisation, they are terrible.

I think their email management is so…

I think their email management is so bad. It takes 3-5 emails to get a response some times. Also they make admin mistakes quite a bit and communication is poor. Here are some of the highlights of my last 3 seasons
- they signed me up to a different league/location on a different day.
- took months to get a refund
- have had pitches being cancelled 5 mins before the game and also sometimes they don’t event tell you
- the bibs are stinky and unwashed. I had the very first match of the day and the bib was unwashed from the previous day. Imagine playing the last game.

Amazeball

An amazing experience! Meeting new people, socialising and building rapport all while forging lifelong friendships. This space has given me peace of mind. I forget everything else whilst enjoy playing netball. Brilliant referees
. They take the time to endure each other’s safety. They ensure clear communication and that respect goes both ways

Great communication

Great communication, umpires are really friendly and helpful! Yes we get called up on lots but the umpires take the time to explain why it was called up!
