Terrible Experience
I am writing this as a loyalty member of over 12 years to formally advise against patronizing this establishment called Golden Dragon Casino. My extensive experience with this casino has revealed a deeply concerning pattern of systemic discrimination and a total lack of transparent operational guidelines.
Under the current management of the General Manager, there appears to be a clear hierarchy of treatment based on nationality and race. I have observed consistent preferential treatment toward Indian, Chinese, French, and Thai patrons, while Black players—specifically those from Ghana and Nigeria—are frequently subjected to harassment and arbitrary exclusion. Such practices are not only unethical but are in direct violation of the Constitution of the Republic of Ghana, which strictly prohibits discrimination based on race and national origin.
Arbitrary Enforcement and "Discretionary" Bans
The casino operates without a visible code of conduct or written rules for players. This "discretionary" approach leads to absurd and contradictory disciplinary actions. For example:
A patron caught stealing roulette chips received a mere one-month ban.
Conversely, players minding their own business and playing within their financial means have been issued lifetime bans under the vague claim that they are "not really playing."
This suggests that the management may prioritize or condone criminal behavior over honest, low-stakes play, which is a significant red flag for any regulated gaming environment.
Disregard for Established Table Minimums
The casino's website and premises fail to outline any "minimum wealth" requirements for entry, yet security and management use financial status to bully players. If a player meets the 10 Cedi roulette minimum or the 50 Cedi club membership load, they have legally and procedurally satisfied the requirements to play. To suggest a player is "not playing" while they are meeting the posted table minimums is a predatory tactic used to intimidate local patrons.
The level of disrespect and the targeted exclusion of Black players have been thoroughly documented. This matter has been escalated to the relevant high authorities, and there is substantial evidence and a collective of witnesses ready to testify regarding these discriminatory practices.
Until this establishment adopts transparent rules and aligns its management practices with Ghanaian law regarding equality and fair play, I strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere.
