This is an absolute scam. They said that we can cancel the package online on their website. After canceling the first time, they disabled the cancellation option on my page.

Please read before ordering "gratis välkomspaket". You will be signed for aboniment and receiving packets every month for ~300kr.

Be aware of their “free complementary package”. They say it’s for free, but then they send you books every month and you pay around 300kr and they are not even worth it.
Very disappointed.

Their welcome packet is much better than the monthly packets that they send afterwards which costs around 300 kr. It’s really not worth it. Also I felt that they sre very fast in deducting the money from your account even though they hadn’t sent the book yet. When I asked them to cancel it, they refused and just canceled my subscription. Now I have to pay for the return fee as well and also the delivery fee is around 60 kr. It’s really very bad service.

Beware of clicking on their so called 'Gratis' promotions! The process lacks transparency, with hidden information and no clear consent. It comes across as though Goboken is acting out of desperations.

Very big scam they offer free package and then start forced subscription of very expensive books .

We love reading time! The books are amazing quality, great colours and my little girl 4,5m loves reading them with me and alone(soft books)! Highly recommended, worth every cent!

It's a scam they force you into a 6 month subscription with a first free package and without possibility to cancel and a high fee almost 300 kr for two small items not worth the price.

Company tries to scam you into a subscription. It promotes a free package for expecting mums and then throws you into a compulsory sign up for a 6 month package.

I even saw that they were trying to sign me up for this 6 months package and I stopped writing more information yet they still pushed it to me and forced the subscription as active.

Its seriously disturbing how they do this and waste your money. To be honest I just gave up and decide I will cancel after 6 months.

I wouldn't be so pissed if the products was any good. But they are really not worth almost 300kr every month for just 2 items in it. I'm sure I could find cheaper and better items than what they give.

And imagine the number of people they have scammed or forced into the subscription and just don't fight to cancel the subscription (like me). They are earning money targeting new mums who just wanted to find something for their new little one.

Same here, I registered for a free baby package and chosen not to receive the 1488kr 6month subscribe option upon my signup. But I was still signed up for this package and my credit card was charged for two months.

I first receive the free package as promised and then I was busy with the baby. And now after I have received a second book and I finally check my credit card and found out that it was regularly charged every month for around 300kr.

I just call customer service and they say they would cancel my subscription and claims that this is a compulsory sign up for choosing to receive the free package, that I missed the terms and condition upon sign up.

I did read through everything and I google translated everything and I have not signed up for the package(it was optional on the sign up page) nor allow them to use my credit card other than postage, it was not a mistake of mine.

I argued and they agreed to cancel my subscription and I have return the latest package I received and later received a refund.

I still have bad impression of them. First they advertise their "buy 1500kr get 200kr free package" as one of the free babypakker that many other companies offer without condition. Second they targeted a vulnerable group, mothers that're expecting their baby or just had their baby.

I heard from my friend that there are babypackages to collect and I registered most of them while I was expecting the baby and forget about them.

Although in the end I was able to cancel this 1500kr package that comes with the "free baby package", I still wasted 380 kr (one month book which I didn't need/order and could return anymore, plus return shipping) and my nerves and time.

I think the reviews here made an impact on their decision to cancel my "1500kr sign up contract" and refund the last order. Thanks for raising your voice.

The welcome package says it's free of cost and we just need to pay for the shipping but once the free package is ordered (not even confirmed in my case), we got subscribed for monthly packages of 6 months involuntarily. We even called them and asked to cancel the order but they said it's impossible to cancel immediately. We need to repost the package once it's shipped and delivered and then call them back to cancel.

a very bad opinion, in the first phase it was good, they said that everything was free and that I only had to pay postage, after that, from month to month, invoices started coming to me and I didn't pay them because they said like everything I send, I call for free and at the moment they had a recovery company send me the bill and I paid it so I wouldn't get to others, speechless people, don't subscribe

Would be fun to get a few books in English since children start learning at 7 years old. Never too early to start 😊

I have tried to stop the package but why it is not successful?!

We do not speak Swedish, so it would be great if you have English version of some books. Because translation of Swedish kid songs or stories is not easy.

I am super happy with the membership. My daughter loves the books and toys. I think they are extremely age appropriate.

They are liar.
The first time they gimme freebox and gimme an account. When i logged in with my account they gave. Automaticaly they sent me a box everymonth with hight invoice. I dont know how to turn off and delete my account. Anybody can help me. ? Huhu

Foreign parent raising a child in Sweden.
My Swedish language skills are quite modest (and that's being generous). Even so I signed up for a subscription with Goboken!
I myself find the books easy to read to my child and right now they're at the age where it's more about describing and feeling the pages than about the meaning of the text. The books are awesome! Each time (month) we had a favourite book and it lasted for months and months, rediscovering new details and new things of interests as they developed.
I usually read the text beforehand and then use it as a guide to explain the page/pictures to them.
I'm very happy with this service and would definitely recommend it to (first time) parents that don't have the time or the knowledge to look for age appropriate children's books.
