Dreadful

Ordered TWO items one arrived

Ordered TWO items, one arrived, the other was marked "to follow". Second item did not arrive. e-mailed the company, received a standard reply, "we will contact you within 48 hours" No contact. We are now past the last date for delivery before Christmas, there goes one of the Wife's presents.

Failure to deliver a Christmas present

Not good I’m afraid. Ordered a gift on 1st December and never arrived. The carrier you use is Evri. They are useless. Why don’t use a more reliable carrier? If you valued your customers you would select a better delivery service. Your customer services call handler did what she could contacting Evri (just as I had) and has begin the process of giving me the refund. The one star I have given in the review is for her.

Broken baubles due to inadequate wrapping.

I ordered two sets of bauble name holders for the table. When they arrived two of the twelve baubles were broken due to inadequate protective wrapping. The delivery also took nearly two weeks but there was no communication about the reason for the delay. The other baubles are lovely but very disappointed.

Absolutely disgraceful service and…

Absolutely disgraceful service and attitude. Ordered 4 items received one. After two weeks queried missing three items and received two. Queried item still missing and 4 days later received a duplicate of first item received. Rang to query this to be told I hadn't even ordered the item I still hadn't received! But my cheque has been cashed so they have my money but I don't have my order. Do not order from this company.

Missing Items for at least 7 weeks.

Ordered a 5 items on 6 Oct. 3 delivered within a few days. 2 missing. 23 Oct wrote to query delay. Same day response saying the 'origin' company (no-idea which one - but not one of those referred to below**) had been contacted. 31 Oct message to say missing items "despatched". 17 Nov still not received so sent another message. No reply. 25 Nov STILL WAITING. I realised on 23 Oct (too late) that "Gift Discoveries" is a "Scotts of Stow" company with which I had problems about 4 years ago and as a result of which I discontinued shopping with them and was "removed" from their contact database, at my request. Also the brochure includes goods from 2 other companies** (also listed) with which I've had direct contact, exceptional service and high quality products from over several years. I hope being in the "GD" catalogue doesn't damage their operation and reputations. I would recommend dealing direct with "Culture Vulture" and "Museum Selection"**. And although I am MPS registered, I've also had two other catalogues from 'associated' Scotts' companies that I didn't request nor with which I have ever done business, and so I have asked to be removed from their communications. Further communications from those will result in being reported to MPS. UPDATE: Notified on 25 Nov that a refund for the missing items would be made. As of 28 November, a refund was credited to my card account. So something worked, but I will steer clear of both Gift Discoveries and Scotts of Stow forever. Pity, because there were a number of attractive, good value items in the GD brochure.

Poor customer service

I placed an order with multiples of three different items. On ordering it was made clear that one item would be delayed and it specufied the item. However I received three individual emails from Gift Discoveries saying my parcels were on their way. I then got multiple delivery notifications from Evri saying three packages were on their way. I assumed they were the three sets of things I'd ordered. What I received were three seperately packkaged items of one of the things I'd ordered. A few days later the item they had said wouldn't available for another week arrived but not the third oart of the order which was supposed to have been available at the time of ordering. On inquiring about this, I received an unapologetic email saying that item would be delayed for quite some time. Then randomly, some of the items had arrived, I received three new emails from Gift Discoveries saying "your items are on there way" but on inspection they were just the notifications from the original three packages I'd received a week or so before and no mention of the missing items. Very confusing, very unprofessional. Very unhelpful

Most REASSURING,QUICK RESPONSE from Gift Discoveries staff member to whom I spoke. My parcel had not arrived, although the delivery Company had e mailed to say they had it. I rang Gift Discoveries, spoke to a very helpful member of their staff. He dealt with the delivery company. And a replacement of my missing order is now on its way to me. Quick, efficient and reassuring help from the Gift Discoveries staff member who dealt with my problem

Customer service? What customer service?

Owing to Gift Discoveries website malfunction, order placed and accepted was duplicated (no acknowlegement) and double payment taken, Despite immediate email and telephone contact by me, and a further email, after 17 days I am advised refund made - but original extortionate postage deducted from amount! My purchase has cost double the headline price. I will not purchase from any organisation in this group again, as they appear unable to resolve any issues which arise. I won't waste my time or money.
