Brilliant team who have persistently helped me through various stages of moving to Italy. Elze and her team are great, and I want to single out Giorgia Geraci who has been extremely hands on, super prompt with getting back, and always available. Pricey but you get what you pay for.

Me and my family were recommended Giambrone law partners through a colleague so contacts them initially for services to enquire Italian citizenship through heritage. Initially we didn’t proceed until we were sure we wanted to pursue this. I then received a promotion email from Joseph Crick which said that although Italian law has changed it’s still possible for descendants to apply and that a discount was on offer. We took up this offer to proceed with my mother being the main applicant as the direct descendant of an Italian citizen. I enquired whether if it was found that we would not be eligible then would we be billed, with Joseph Crick responding ‘ eligible to apply, then work would stop on the matter you would not be billed any further.

If we find an alternative way for you to obtain citizenship we would then provide you with a new scope of work and fees if they change from the one that we already provided.

We would only proceed with any new work once agreed by you and all applicants.’

Work was referred to their Italian office to carry out the investigation into eligibility. We provided all necessary documents which took several weeks to request from our Italian family. we were requested to make a payment of £2,160 (including VAT) as combined retainers (+ a disbursements fee) for 4 x applicants, which was originally based on a specific number of hours quoted for all 4 applications to proceed to completion.

The Italian team were professional and provided detail quickly. As it stands, the initial documents supplied were checked and verified, and quite quickly we were advised that due to changes in the law since May this year, we would not be eligible to proceed with our application for Italian Citizenship by descent.. This investigation should only have taken at the very most one retainer fee + disbursement fee to establish, which would have been the case if only one of us has applied.

We have never received an itemised bill of work completed and it has now been months since the process started. We are repeatedly ignored by the U.K. office and Joseph Crick and have no idea what our funds have been used on. We have sent countless emails requesting an accurate invoice and for funds to be returned.

I would not recommend Giambrone & Partners to anyone and will be relaying our poor experience on several other review sites.

Elze and the company were incredibly helpful and assisted me in recovering documents dating back over 100 years. Great at keeping me undated with the task and I the delivery. Elze and her team were a pleasure to deal with.

Just used Giambrone &. Partners to renew some stolen documents in Paris;it was impossible to get an appointment and legally should have be done in the US; They really took care very well of the case , with regular follow up and suceeded in their mission.

Our Attorney for immigration matters was Elze Obrikyte. Professional and Knowledgeable. Also responded to our needs with speed and got it done. We where getting Permission to stay as American and Euro couple. Elze knew what to do on the local level and once we engaged here it was only a matter of weeks. We liked her work so much, we engage her to help with the import of our furniture and art work from America. She save of Thousand's of Euros just on the duty. Her firm is the best. Highly recommend them. Also a really lovey Irish women works in Reception.

Excellent, professional service from start to end of my Italian citizenship journey. Kept me up to date at all times, answered questions quickly and were proactive. I couldn’t fault them.

My family have been liaising with this firm for nearly 3 years regarding a Spanish inheritance. There have been serious delays from the solicitor throughout, so much so, that our sister passed away unexpectedly and did not get to see her inheritance. Now, we have to start the process all over again and at more cost, but if it wasn't for the delays over the years the matter would have been resolved before we lost her. I'm writing this review as again I am frustrated at the lack of communication from the solicitor. I have emailed him 3 times for an update, no response. At one point I emailed rhe company and asked for someone else to oversee the case but they did not respond and just contacted the solicitor to get in touch with us. The client services do not reply when you email them, just forward your email to the solicitor, so there's no assurance your concetns are looked into. We are yet again waiting. The whole process has been stressful and with the loss of our sister now it is extremely distressful for all of us. I wish I had read previous reviews before I used this company and I wish I had never started the process. It has cost us money after money and we are seeing no closure. Poor service, very disappointing all around. I do not like writing reviews like this but am sadly at the end of my tether.

Kept rearranging calls, company completely disorganised and incompetent. Don't bother with them, complete waste of time. Would give them 0 stars if I could. If you're looking for immigration advice, then you'd be better off burning your money instead of spending it with these charlatans.

Avoid like the plague!

I used Giambrone to apply for a Spanish visa. The lawyer made basic errors in my application - failing to submit the translated version of a document, failing to emphasise what parts of scanned documents were relevant, submitting one form of evidence when guidelines clearly stated two.

When I complained they offered to submit an appeal.. for a further £1,000 fee!!!

When I provided a written explanation of my complaints and clear evidence of their failings, they either disregarded points, or said I'd received more work than I'd paid for given the time the lawyers spent on the application. They then tried to pay me off with a £250 refund.

Dishonest, unaccountable, unprofessional. Trying to get through to them to speak on the phone was worse than HMRC. And when I did manage to, they'd do anything to hurry the conversation.

I swiftly went to a local solicitor who successfully managed a new application in half the time for a third of the cost, and actually answered the phone!

Applying for Italian passport , and though it took a while to resolve , I can confidently say that Giambrone law were always ultra professional, I dealt mainly with Erika , who helped me through every step , and is a credit to her profession
