Fraudulent company - fake charges
I used eurowings to fly to berlin in 2025 and I tried to purchase additional luggage and it said error. It did not show up on my itinerary either so I didn't take extra luggage. At the gate, the worker tried to remove the charge but the system did not let him and so he told me to pay the fee to board the flight and if i did not i would not be allowed to board. I ended up paying the fee. I tried to get a refund and they told me they did but when I called the bank they told me no attempts were made. It's been more than a year and still no refunds.
Unprofessiomal
I taken a flight with euro wings i got food poisend on the plane amd i was suppose to recieve componsation i have been waiting for 5 years now and still nothing avoid eating the food on plane and avoid asking for staff for help as they will just be rude and not nice
I am extremely disappointed with the…
I am extremely disappointed with the way Eurowings has handled the situation with flight EW7991 from Malta to Hamburg, originally scheduled to depart at 10:05 this morning.
The flight was initially delayed until 12:30, then 17:45, then 20:00, and it has now been postponed until 21:00. This amounts to an 11-hour delay.
Throughout this entire period, the Eurowings staff at the airport in Malta have repeatedly told us that there is nothing they can do. We were only offered the option of cancelling the flight free of charge or waiting for the flight to eventually depart.
When we contacted the Eurowings call centre, we were told that they could not do anything over the phone either and that we had to speak to the Eurowings staff at the airport. In other words, no matter who we contact, nobody is able or willing to provide any meaningful assistance.
We were told that the aircraft could not depart from Hamburg, which apparently caused this disruption. However, it is extremely disappointing that an airline cannot provide an alternative aircraft or any reasonable solution in a situation like this.
Even after 11 hours of delay, passengers are still not being properly informed about the actual status of the flight, while the departure time continues to be pushed back repeatedly.
This is completely unacceptable and an absolute disgrace in terms of passenger service and communication.
This has been my first experience with Eurowings, and based on this experience, it will certainly be my last.
Hello and thank you! (Stockholm to Düsseldorf)
Hello! I was onboard a flight from Stockholm to Düsseldorf today at 17:45, I just want to thank the cabin crew sooo much for taking care of me (I'm afraid of flying). Jose and his team were very nice and comforting and it made me so much more relaxed! I can only recommend that if you are scared of flying to tell them, they are so good at handling and comforting people that are scared! Thank you from the depths of my heart!
Warning - will charge you extra for heavy hand luggage
Mixed experience. Will charge you £53 if you go above the kilos for hand luggage (they make everyone weigh their bags which is a terrible experience). This is unacceptable when you’ve already paid for the hand luggage, hold luggage and a very expensive fair of 280+ for a 1.5h flight.
However, encountered some very friendly staff of theirs and their website is superbe (easy to book).
Worst company ever. No refund despite cancelled flight - no communication even.
4 emails sent - 1 response with zero information. They cancelled my flight - I had to rebook and also pay for the new flight. I handed in my additional cost too.
No acknowledgment. Just a note 2 weeks later that they will get back to me ‘ sometime in the future we don’t know when’. What is this? What kind of customer non-service is this?
Worst run company I know. Disrespectful. Waiting over a month for the money owed
Abysmal.
I followed up - zero response. Again.
Decent service
Flight info: Flew to Dusseldorf at the 23rd and returned to Heathrow at 30th August.
My experience using this airline has been decent, the only complaint I have with them is the seating space.
A Very Disappointing Experience
This was, by far, my worst experience with an airline—even worse than my experiences with low-cost carriers.
My flight was cancelled and the handling of the situation was extremely poor. Despite having my rebooking confirmed for the following day, further complications arose, making an already frustrating situation even worse. Unfortunately, the airline’s agents did not appear to make much effort to resolve the issues or improve the situation. Numerous mistakes were made throughout the process, and the consequences were ultimately borne by the passenger.
Worst flight company I ever used
Worst flight company I ever used! Delays, cancelled flights, no communication, rude staff and the list can carry on! I will never use this again and not recommend to anyone.
Never again
First time we have used this company and it definitely will be the last one. Flight from Newcastle to Berlin was delayed 2h so we have lost our rental car and we could not pick up next day as we were traveling 3h away from the airport. On the way back from Berlin our flight was delayed and then straight away cancelled. There was no communication from the personel, we were all standing hours in a queue and no one knew anything. It took as 4h until we have got some information from other passengers as we’ve heard nothing from airport / airline personnel. I do not recommend this company at all!
Truly horrendous
Truly horrendous!
Newcastle to Berlin flight cancelled an hour before the flight (we booked package break through On the Beach).
We were asked to leave the airport lounge after being in there less than an hour, under the illusion we had an alternative flight booked only to be told at the Eurowings desk that they had no alternatives and they had no idea when the next flight would be but it definitely wouldn't be today. We asked whether we should go home and await an email and we were told yes.
So, we got a taxi home and then half way home got am email to say we could stay at a hotel while they sorted alternative flights. So we asked the taxi to turn around (which cost us £25).
We then tried to check into the Hilton Hotel at Newcastle and were told that the payment card for Eurowings had bounced and they were unable to pay for the hotel rooms (17 in total). We then sat and waited in a hotel lobby or hours because the hotel was totally full in the restaurant and bar and reception areas.
A total utter nightmare, we are still stuck without a flight, hotel rooms that we have to pay for in Berlin despite not going, a failed taxi ride and a lounge that we paid for and didnt use.
Total utter disgrace of a company!
Terrible customer support
Terrible customer support. "Charlie" their AI is terrible. Agents keep looping me between GDS and normal customer support. I cannot rebook my flight, despite paying the higher flex fare. The GDS hotline menu doesnt detect my key presses.
only use Eurowings if there is no alternative
I only use Eurowings if there is absolutely no alternative (including trains and donkeys). After they moved from Heathrow to Gatwick for their Cologne flights to ‘strengthen’ their presence there, it’s a crazy journey down there. Bag drop opened 1:45 h before departure with only the priority desk occupied. There we stood for 60 minutes in the regular queue with no movement as the priorities kept filling up and served first. Only when we put real pressure on that one poor lady at the counter (who was really kind but helpless) they organised someone from another terminal. Now we’re at the gate for our 12:00 flight. It’s 11:45 and nothing is moving. Avoid this airline at all cost.
Terribly understaffed check in staff as…
Terribly understaffed check in staff as a result delayed the flight missed my eurowings connection, there was no flight that night to move me to, so had to go to some hotel eventually their staff was rude and unhelpful, broke my luggage too
Serious failure of pre-booked disability assistance
Eurowings were given medical information in advance explaining my husband's disability and support requirements. They confirmed DPNA/WCHS assistance in writing, including trained support through the airport.
At Düsseldorf, that assistance was not provided and staff appeared unaware of the arrangements. The situation escalated into a severe autistic meltdown and serious safety incident, causing us to miss our flight.
Eurowings then sent us to hospital for a fit-to-fly certificate the hospital could not provide, refused to carry us afterwards, and we ultimately had to stay overnight and travel back to the UK by train. The additional costs exceeded £850, excluding the unused flights.
The most concerning part is that the risks had been clearly identified in advance and the appropriate assistance had supposedly been arranged.
The staff just told us "not to panic" next time!
This raises serious questions about Eurowings' handling of vulnerable and disabled passengers and its obligations under EU Regulation.
I have submitted a formal complaint and requested a refund.
They didn't want to check-in my mother
They didn't want to check-in my mother. She was flying alone with ukraine passport. They didn't want to print her ticket without giving any reason. Just because. It's difficult to believe, but it is what it is. Probably over-booked and tried solve it dishonestly. It seems to be easy to cheat an old lady which doesn't speak good German.
Canceled my flight >3 weeks out
Canceled my flight >3 weeks out, forcing me to travel a day early & pay out of pocket for a hotel in Zurich just to catch my next connection with my partner. @eurowings refuses any goodwill & hides behind legal loopholes. Zero customer care! #eurowings
Extremely Disappointing Experience with Eurowings
I have traveled with many airlines over the years, and this was one of the most frustrating experiences I’ve had.
We were unable to check in online because the Eurowings website repeatedly returned an error. We tried multiple times and got the same result. We even showed the error to the Eurowings staff at the airport. Despite this, we were charged €60 for checking in at the airport.
Things got even worse from there. At check-in, we were told that we could take our carry-on bags to the gate. When we got to the gate, we were then told that our fare did not include carry-on bags and that we had to pay another €60 PER BAG to check two bags—a total of €120 in additional baggage charges. Had we been given accurate information at check-in, these charges could have been avoided or at least been significantly lower.
We repeatedly asked to speak with a manager, but no manager was available or willing to assist.
We contacted Eurowings customer service afterward, hoping they would at least acknowledge what happened and make things right. Instead, their response essentially blamed us because we couldn’t provide a screenshot proving that we had attempted to check in online. Apparently, showing the error to their own employees at the airport isn’t enough.
So, because of a website that didn’t work and incorrect information from their staff, we were out an additional €180—and Eurowings refuses to take any responsibility for it.
The most disappointing part isn’t even the money. It’s the complete lack of accountability and customer service. Problems happen with websites and employees make mistakes. What matters is how a company handles those mistakes. Eurowings chose to do nothing.
Based on this experience, I would strongly recommend thinking twice before booking with Eurowings. Poor website, inconsistent information from staff, no manager available to help, and customer service that refuses to take responsibility afterward.
For us, this was our first and last experience with Eurowings.

My 12 year old son traveled alone with Eurowings recently. They were amazingly caring and sweet to him.
Im so very grateful
Untrustworthy company - serious investigation needed
Untrustworthy company - has led to loss of money, attempted credit card and phone scams.

I booked a flight and paid extra to have the option to change the flight date. The Eurowings site would not let me change the date when I needed to.
I tried multiple times and date options. The issue wasn’t with flight availability, rather an issue with their site.
I emailed their customer service and submitted forms 3 times - with screenshots of what I was experiencing on their site. I received an automated response that someone would get back to me as soon as possible. However, a month later (and after the flight date already passed, which I wasn't able to use), no one has responded.
I then posted about the issue on the Eurowings Customer Support and Complaints Facebook groups (without providing personal details in the post). However, this only prompted calls from credit card scammers from India and Africa, claiming to be calling from Eurowings, attempting to get my credit card details.
Furthermore, I've since experienced multiple attempts from different countries in Africa to access my Apple account.
A serious investigation needs to be launched into Eurowings for selling non-existent flight-change options, claiming to provide customer support while not responding at all to ticketed customer inquiries, and being used in credit card scams and attempts to hack customers' phone accounts.
