Ordered three large memory foam topped beds for my senior dogs with arthritis. Firstly, if you want an inch or two of memory foam as would be expected and as recommended by vets, shop elsewhere. This has around 1 cm. Secondly, awful experience. Firstly, only one bed was sent out of three. Then, when the second two were sent, after expanding from the vacuum packaging for 72 hours as recommended, opened the covers to put on and they were the wrong size. I contacted them again, requesting a goodwill gesture. Before a discussion could be had, they sent two end-of-line microfibre dog towels. This is not suitable for my dogs who can't even get wet anymore! I requested a replacement cover instead as this would make a meaningful difference with elderly dogs who have accidents (£16.99 so not out of line with the value of the dog towels) and offered to return both the wrong sized covers and dog towels. They then ignored my email from 24 August, so I followed up on 2 September, to be told today that 'management have said no' and that I am still welcome to send back to the dog towels when I send back the wrong sized covers. A hugely disappointing experience, would not recommend this company.

The dog bed arrived in a timely manner from the company but there was an issue with the delivery from parcel force. However, in the end the bed was still delivered on the day that it was supposed to be. Our puppy got straight in the bed. He loves it. We ordered a medium so that he can grow into the bed. The bed was placed in a very large box so that ot was not misshapen on arrival. We are over the moon with this item. We are so glad that we chose George Barclay as a company.

I have 2 George Barclay Dog Beds now, and I have to say, I wouldn't buy from anyone else - why would I need to? My dog absolutely loves both her beds - I started off with the mattress, which is her main nighttime bed, but in the daytime when I am working, she has a smaller box bed which she curls up in next to me. They are so easy to keep clean and wash the covers, which is great with a Springer. I also have a MuttMOP Drying Robe - again, a must-have with a spaniel. Great quality and long-lasting

We've been buying George Barclay box beds for our French Bulldog for over six years now, and they are without doubt the best dog beds we've ever owned. The quality is exceptional – our first bed is still going strong after all this time.

Our dog absolutely loves curling up in them, so much so that we've gradually bought three beds for different areas of the house so he always has somewhere comfortable to sleep. The craftsmanship, durability and comfort are second to none.

What really sets George Barclay apart is the style and design of their beds. The range of fabrics, colours and finishes is unmatched, and they look more like premium furniture than dog beds. They are a beautiful addition to our home and complement our décor perfectly, rather than looking out of place like many pet beds do.

If you're looking for a dog bed that combines luxury, comfort, durability and stunning design, I couldn't recommend George Barclay highly enough.

Absolutely love this bed! We bought the Olive Green Medium Sofa Bed for our Cocker Spaniel and couldn’t be happier with it. The quality is fantastic, it looks lovely in our home, and you can tell it’s really well made.

Our dog took to it straight away and loves resting his head on the raised sides. The removable cover is a huge bonus too, making it easy to keep clean.

The team were incredibly helpful and took the time to understand exactly what we were looking for. Ordering was quick and straightforward from start to finish.

We bought a large dog bed for our Labradoodle. When it was delivered it was too large for our dog. I was able to package it up for return, in the original packaging.
There was an issue with the Royal Mail service, and I made a call to George Barclay on a Friday morning to check they had received the parcel and to discuss a replacement for a medium sized dog bed.
Lisa was very helpful and made sure the replacement bed was despatched on Friday afternoon. We received the dog bed on Monday morning. Fabulous service.
Our dog loved the mattress topper, as he usually sleeps on the floor and does not like the lumpy doughnut type beds.
This is a high quality luxury dog bed, and we consider it was money well spent. Her's hoping it lasts a lot of years.

I bought a high sidded bed for my bulldog and love it. I got good customer support from the team as I phoned before I purchased. Couldn't be happier! :)

I recently ordered a bed for my dog but when it arrived it was too small and George Barclay could not have been more helpful. I called them and they advised using someone like Parcel Hero to return it which was much cheaper and then gave me a code to arrange free delivery for a new larger one. From ordering the original bed to returning it, receiving a new bed and then receiving a refund for the smaller bed in under a week was pretty impressive. Really pleased with the quality of the new bed and my dog absolutely loves it.

Whatever you do - DO NOT BUY ONE
The materials used are clearly not fit for purpose. I have holes in the bed in less than 6 months of use.
They look good but these beds are essentially a massive con.

Ordered orthopedic dog bed sofa. When my dog tried to lay on it, he slipped forward as it is made high at the back and pushed him into an uncomfortable position.
Customer service told me thats how it was supposed to be which i find odd Had to pay £30 to return it for a refund

I had very high hopes for these dog beds, when they arrived my dogs loved them and they looked incredibly comfortable.
Unfortunately, 6 weeks on, they’re ruined! The covers have ripped on both beds, and the foam bag has now been damaged too, so that’s that!
I asked customer service to replace the covers, because I didn’t think 6 weeks was really good enough and they just fobbed me off and showed no desire to assist.
If you have a house dog, one that never goes outside or gets carried everywhere, then maybe these will work for you, but this is by far the biggest disappointment I’ve ever experienced with a dog bed, and cannot recommend anyone buys this flimsy product that simply isn’t fit for purpose!

We switched to George Barclay when Orvis stopped selling dog beds in the UK and now have three GB beds. Other members of the family have them too and we're happy with them EXCEPT for the nightmare of getting the bolsters back in the cover after a wash. I have semi-solved this by removing crumb from the bolsters (but be warned.. make sure you do it outside direct into the bin because it goes everywhere/sticks to jumpers). But I still dread the effort involved in their re-assembly after washing the covers. With the larger beds it's a two-woman job and your hands ache from the effort. Really, it's a design fault which would be resolved by reducing the crumb and extending the zips on the arms of the bolster section. Please GB, fix this..

We purchased the bed for our lab in May 2025, at a cost of £140. Within a matter of months a split appeared in the cover. Although this was replaced free of charge we were told a second wouldn’t be free. It has now split again, so are staring at another £70. Whilst our dog loves the beds, for a large dog the covers simply aren’t strong enough. Not happy so be warned if you are considering a similar purchase

Avoid this company customer service worst ever I purchased bed and company forgot to include part of it so that arrived week later I then decided to return item as it came 2 boxes due to there mistake they wanted to charge me £30 each box to return when I declined they said it would be 1x £30 it cost £14.99 to be delivered but £30 to return no mention of this when you buy it says you are liable for return cost no customer service at all

This is the 3rd memory foam bed I have purchased for my boy. 2 were the walled dog beds which have worn well and the covers are in and out of the wash regularly. This time I have purchased the memory foam mattress as he is arthritic and sometimes finds it a little difficult to get out of the walled ones. I have to say he loves the new bed, and it is really easy to hoover and keep clean. The quality of these beds is the best I have purchased and wish I had found them a long time earlier. Would recommend the customer service when I called for a little advice and the delivery is spot on.

Unfortunately my experience with George Barclay has been terrible. The only postage they offer is with Parcelforce and cost me £9.99. Parcelforce were TERRIBLE. I was due to receive the order on 29th August and we still hadn’t received it by 9th September so we had to drive 40 minutes to the depot to collect it as we kept requesting the parcel be taken to the post office and they instead kept bringing it to our home address (although no ring doorbell footage suggests they didn’t attempt to leave it multiple times). I reached out to the company several times and they apparently spoke to Parcelforce and delivery to the post office would be sorted - it wasn’t. They did refund postage (rightly so when we had to collect the parcel ourselves!!) but we got no compensation for the fuel, and no goodwill gesture following the stress, hassle and wasted time caused by the experience. I certainly will not be ordering from them again and definitely will not be recommending them to friends and family. The bed itself is nice but definitely not worth the hassle and came with it.

Bought largest size cool coat for our st bernard. The fit is awful, the strap from chest to stomach sags when wet and the back of it slides to one side or other constantly. Supposed to keep dog cool but only keeps dog warm and wet. Left a review on google and they asked to get in touch with then. I did but have been completely ignored so what was the point. Not fit for purpose, avoid company.

Great bed, very thick and sturdy cover , very pleased

A few things here...

Firstly, I ordered a large dog bed and the drop-down default selection was just a replacement cover (still £65) so obviously pretty disappointed with first order.

Secondly, the delivery service (Parcelforce) was absolutely atrocious. They are a worldwide delivery service so these clearly aren't coming from England, and I had no notification it was delivered. I had to check the tracking and it said they were unable to deliver and left a card for me to pick up at a post office. They left no such card nor did they attempt delivery... I had to liaise with the supplier themselves to eventually track it down.

After recieving the wrong item expected entirely... I naively gave them another chance and went and ordered the actual dog bed as well. Same issue with Parcelforce, except this time they returned to depot. Our camera shows no attempt at delivery.

George Barclay were not exactly keen to make it up to me but I arranged for the whole thing to be returned for a refund. I guess I'll get my refund if Parcel Force ever decide to return to them :(

Just received the dog bed. Memory foam crumb inner, water repellent outer, snazzy realtree camo trim, very fitting as the dogs are working cocker spaniels!
Both dogs are now happily asleep on a very comfortable bed. Ordered on Tuesday, delivered today (Friday) great customer service, responded quickly to a query I had. I will definitely use this company again.
